INNOCENT
And so this series of trials has come to a close. But before I say the culprit's name, perhaps I should enlighten all of you as to how everything was done. That way you can't call foul on the game master, Erika Furudo. Hihihihi...
The First Trial, Serenee was killed. The culprit first set aside some orange juice in the Kitchen for Serenee to find. And when Serenee poured herself a glass, the culprit tripped her and she spilled the juice on herself, resulting in her going to the Public Bath. If anyone had properly investigated the Cafeteria, they would have found a half-empty glass of orange juice on the table closest to the Kitchen. The culprit followed Serenee into the bath and marked her clothes with glow-in-the-dark paint. This was how they were able to see her when she went to the Media Center. Since it was completely dark in the Media Center, this was a very good way to disguise having Projectile weapon proficiency. However, because there was no blood on the culprit, this could have been deduced from the glow-in-the-dark paint.
There was no condemning evidence in this trial, but as a fun side note, Satori did find evidence that the culprit was female in this trial, but chose not to reveal it.
The Second Trial, Jerm was killed in the changing rooms. The culprit set up a very elaborate closed room trap where they seemed like they must be male. However, as Battler finally realized in the last trial, there were suspicious scratches on the benches closest to the doors. Yes, these benches were used to hold the doors open while the culprit set up their closed room trap. There was condemning evidence in this trial, of course. The culprit woke up early to prepare a spiked lemonade for Jerm. However, Battler and Cloud walked in on them and requested that they make lemonade for them too. If either Battler or Cloud had investigated the Cafeteria or Kitchen, they would have remembered the culprit serving lemonade to them and Jerm. There were many clues that Battler should investigate the Kitchen, lots of suspicious lemonade cups lying around. There was also a hint that Jerm had drank lemonade, namely the lemony smell coming from his mouth. However, the culprit lied in order to hide this fact. They only mentioned alcohol and not the lemon smell.
The Third Trial, River and Emerald were killed in the Art Room. For this trial, the culprit was confident that their frame had worked in the second trial, so they simply threw out as many red herrings as possible to distract everyone from the real evidence. The hole chiseled in the Art Room floor, the bucket of blood found in the 2nd floor hallway, the large amount of blood found in the Art Storage Room, those were all red herrings. The condemning evidence was where the culprit hid their murdering tools, in the 2nd Floor Classroom. A bag with a large male jersey was inside covered in blood. Examining it closely, it would have been wrinkled, indicating that it was several sizes smaller than whoever wore it. If anyone had investigated the public bath, they would have remembered the culprit washing themselves off in there. If anyone had investigated the culprit's room they would have found grey dust on their door. If Battler or Cloud had investigated the Kitchen, they would have remembered the events from the last trial.
Something interesting did happen in this trial though. The culprit themselves investigated the Kitchen and found out that Battler and Cloud saw them pouring the lemonade.
The Fourth Trial, Lustful was killed in the Library. Once again, the culprit decided that they were safe behind their frame from trial 2 and simply threw around a lot of red herrings. The key point to this trial was finding Battler and the location of the Master Key. Battler held all the evidence necessary to convict the culprit, his electronic handbook had been used to unlock the male changing rooms, but there was also evidence of blood in the female changing rooms. Once again, this leads to the culprit being female. The Master Key was also hidden in the female changing rooms, meaning the culprit had no way of getting back inside without being female. The condemning evidence was Battler, Battler would have been missing his electronic handbook and room key and would have prompted people to investigate the changing rooms.
The Fifth Trial, Satori was killed in the Gym. Since the murder happened late at night, the culprit drank a lot of coffee to stay up. The End found the condemning evidence, the coffee that was in the Cafeteria. Since Cloud does not have projectile weapon proficiency, the only suspect left was the culprit.
And the culprit for this game is... SOVA!
Now I have prepared a very special execution for all of you failures...
GRAND EXECUTION
Everyone lines up in front of the stage where Erika stands with her scythe. They have cloth bags draped over their heads and have their wrists and ankles tied up. One by one they are pushed up to the stage by monokuma robots where they are hanged and Erika proceeds to decapitate them. First Aqua is executed. Next The End is executed. Then Nova is executed. Next Cloud is executed. Then Jay is executed. Sova walks up to the stand and is freed. She runs off to exit the school. Finally, Battler walks up to the stand.
"It's useless, it's all useless!" Battler shouts, and fires the theory he formed in the final trial against Erika. Erika blocks it with her scythe, but in that moment Battler manages to cut his bonds and escape! Erika chases after him, but he reverts to his golden sorcerer form and leaves the gameboard. Erika curses after him. "I will have my revenge, Ushiromya Battleeeeeeeeer!"
