The Reference Room is divided into two distinct sections; tables and chairs have been set up on the left hand side, while the right is a miniature library consisting of only a few rows. The shelves in these rows, though, are stacked to the ceiling with a huge collection of books. The books have simple titles and large pictures, the kind that would be easy for even an elementary schooler to read, although the subjects themselves are another matter. They range from myths and legends from all around the globe, to descriptions on how to cook limbs harvested from both corpses and living humans. All of the books retain the same easy to understand writing style, and no matter how vile the subject matter, heavily feature macabre jokes and puns in addition to the "educational" information. You don't think flicking through them all would be a good use of your time.
The drawings and symbols that cover the entire school reach their apex here. There isn't a single bare wall in sight. Some of the shelves have been emptied of their contents, spilling the stories within all over the floor. Each fallen book is well-worn from front to back, and the source of that is clear:
A girl in a ghostly blue sits in one of the chairs, flipping through a gargantuan pile of books that you're sure couldn't have all come from here. Propped up against her, you see a book that gives off a far more malicious aura than any of the others. The girl speaks to it and treats it as if it were a living being. It has a ghastly looking face that moves and responds to her queries, but you can't hear what it's saying from where you're standing.
