Hello, one and all to a new CYOA from the one and only Silent King. Though this time we are doing something different. For one thing, we will be doing RPG elements. All this means is that sometimes actions will be decided by a die roll. Since I control the dice, I will just put a notice for when that happens and what the result is. So do be mindful of when this occurs. Another difference is that multiple people can give out prompts and the one with the most likes will be used.
We will also be controlling a predetermined character for simplicity's sake. If this goes well, we will work together as a community to decide who the next protagonist will be.
The setting takes place in the future, 2179, on a space Colony, Hadley's Hope, on a moon light years from Earth. You will all be controlling a middle aged woman named Janice Macwhirr. She is the Union Organizer for the people working on the colony whose workers were sent here by mega-corporation Weyland-Yutani aka known as just The Company.

The story is that a resident had been brought back from the outside of the facility infected with something. He died before the residents could determine what he was infected with and a snake like creature was noted to have escaped from him and into the facility. Supervisor Simpson requested for calm and to continue working and that security will handle the new creature even as more people got sick from the same infection.
You, and four others (Morgan Hirsch the local cleaner; Hannah Singleton the pilot; Sonny Sigg the scientist; and Holroyd the Mechanic) were sent to Processor 9 to perform a maintenance run. You were forced to stop when Singleton's tracker had broken down and were instructed to wait. As you waited, you all noted about the shuttle from the Company that brought in company agent Miranda Reynolds and chief scientist Theodora Komiskey. Rumors has it that the shuttle is prepped and leave at a moment's notice, abandoning the entire facility and everyone living in Hadley's Hope. Only Reynolds and Komiskey have the authorization and the keycards to make this happen if true.
You certainly believe it and even suspect it was The Company that had sent out the initial worker that got infected in the first place. In a way being the ones who had caused this whole mess they are in. But there is nothing to do beyond keeping an eye out for the two and make sure they don't leave without ensuring a full evacuation. After essentially a full day passed without word on help, Sigg tried calling again. Yet this time only garbled, seemingly panicked, messages came back. Without anything else to be done, all five of you packed up your gear and made the trip back to base.
After a bit of time, you got through the Western Access and put away your safety suits into the storage units here. You can hear garbled message coming from the intercom nearby but can't make it out without getting closer. A long corridor leads pass the intercom further into the building with a ladder at the end to guide to the second level.
Primary objective: Find out what happened to Hadley's Hope.
Secondary Objective: Prevent Company members from abandoning you and your fellow workers.
