You're a private investigator who has been hired to find six missing people. Each were said to be in pursuit of riches untold, to follow the recent rumors of Midas' treasure. Finally, after a month of searching you have found where each were last seen. A small abandoned manor, deep into the basement where a singular room is said to be the treasury.
Inside the room are three statues made of copper. One holds up a basin with some coins in it, seeming to rejoice over the other two who are begging at the first one's feet. None of these look like the missing people. Scattered about are endless pennies, filling the room. Save for a few spots where the coins were cleared away to reveal a marble floor, you would not be remiss to compare it to Scrooge McDuck's coin vault.
A closer inspection reveals a few more details. All three statues aren't made of copper, specifically, but of pennies, stacked carefully into the form of a human being. All of this save their eyes, which have been replaced with two different coins. The two groveling on the ground have dimes in their eyes while the one holding the basin has quarters. The basin itself holds six pennies covered in brass.
Suddenly you hear a slam and look back to find the door has closed behind you. The statue with the basin seems to glow and a voice can be heard coming from it. "Pay the toll of a human soul," it says. It looks briefly sad before adding, "The leader's soul was fractured to save the others."

Did the statue move its arms up a little?

There is no science in this!! Everything you'd need for the solution does not require anything more than basic knowledge and what's in the room.
You may ask yes or no questions if you need any kind of elaboration
(Mostly because Riddles are less rigid than logic puzzles so I may see something as obvious but it would not be so to others)
