The room is once more filled with people. Sue stands in the center with Tia, who is clinging to the ever smiling woman.
From all four exits people enter: Aki, Power, Amaya, Kaworu, Denji, Mr. Anonymous, Lex, Nedge Pepsi, Maki, Roroa, DA Ratticus, Fuzz, and Tohru in various emotional states.
"Oh good, everyone is here."
Everyone? There's only 13 though and you're positive that there was 14. Where's Constance?
"One of you d-died last night. In th-that room."
She points to the east before clarifying. "Th-the casino."
Suddenly the background of the trial changes images showing a damaged casino, though it's hard to make out exactly how it got damaged from the images as everything is blurred except one thing. A body that looks burned.
"Which leads us to the next step in the wish granting process. You all are to figure out the who, what, and why of this death. You have an hour to investigate then return here with the results where we will present the information in a trial."
"If you guess the right person and provide enough evidence to convict them, then all is fine and we will met out appropriate punishment. However, we do believe in giving them a fair chance. You can't just point a finger at the person you think did it. So even if you guess the right person, if you do not support your theory, then an innocent person will be executed instead."
(Basically Emi's system of howdunnit with the whodunnit)
"We will choose said innocent from one of you fools who couldn't complete a simple task."
"That is all. You may investigate as you see fit, but do make sure not to leave any stones unturned. Even if it's not directly related to the death, you may find evidence to help save an innocent."
