Trial Objectives (Need to complete to win)
1. How did the victim die? Complete (10%)
Instant death due to blunt trauma to the head from above.
2. What is the Murder Weapon? Complete (10%)
A green ceramic bowl. Taken from Fauna's dinner party, where Timmy was sitting (alongside a steak knife). The bowl was empty during murder execution.
3. How did Mr. Lacey get stuck to a tree? Complete (10%)
After prodding the tree for sap and looking for the perfect spot in the tree, Lacey jumps up to stab himself in the hand as deep as he possibly can. Due to the amount of sap in the tree, it keeps the knife and the hand very tightly in place. Even after the knife removal, the amount of sap alone is enough to keep Lacey stuck to the tree.
4. How did the Murder Actually happen? Complete (17 out of 20%)
The killer is in possession of the murder weapon and the knife in question to the murder from the very start. Pebbles and sticks also play a part in this.

First we have Lacey and Cynthia together by the Old Tree. Nothing much of note happens there at first until Cynthia leaves to get a knife for the spider web. I would like you to note that there is a very short period where Lacey is all alone before Venelop3 arrives. Lacey could have easily set up the bowl on a branch during that time AND picked up a lot of pebbles to pocket. Not to mention, he was the only one who could throw a pebble as Cynthia left the area! This is possibly done to make the witnesses believe there is a hidden person around, who could be framed in future as blackened.
Venelop3 sees Lacey dance around the tree and prodding it as if he is looking for something. It is believed he is looking for a spot with a lot of sap within it and the most unstable spot, that could shake a branch above, where the bowl would be. It is possible the bowl was simply thrown up the branch, rather than climbing to put it in place.
When Maes and Venelop3 arrive to the scene, they hear movement within the bushes and something hitting the other side of the tree from where they were. Due to the visual circumstances are especially bad, making it find out who is throwing sticks and stones is nearly impossible. In this accusation however, it makes sense for Lacey to do this, to attract Maes and Venelop3 to the perfect spot he found earlier from prodding.
Lacey walks out of sight for real this time, and is now capable of doing more obvious and violent movements. That opportunity was used to make a lot of sounds that created confusion with the intention of making witnesses believe, Lacey is being attacked by a mystery person to frame them as blackened later on. During this time, he would also get rid of his leftover pebbles that he collected earlier, by throwing them in front of him and cause more strange noise. Lacey would then jump up and stab his hand in a way that is described in an earlier objective.
Venelop3 and Maes investigate the chaotic noise and find Lacey hanging. Maes falls into Lacey's trap and decides to pull out the knife with the bowl right above his head. The knife is very stuck and requires a lot of effort from Maes to pull it out. The effort is so immense, it shakes up the tree, which affects the branch with the bowl hanging right above Maes. The tiny shaking throws the bowl off balance, making it crash land on top of Maes head.
Note from Ven - Almost perfect, bowl and knife were collected action one. To confirm although you basically had it, Cynthia did state in her alibi (I literally read it in trial) that she witnessed Lacey climb the tree as she left to get a knife. Lacey moved a lot and danced around as Maes removed the knife, this led to scuff marks on the tree, this shook the tree enough to dislodge the bowl. Furthermore he had also hid pebbles in his hat, as he jumped up he threw his hat in the air causing the pebbles to fall everywhere to cause more noise chaos for Maes and Venelop3.
5. Who is the Culprit? Complete (20%)
Our dear culprit is Lacey. No accomplices involved.
6. Is the Spider-web important to this case? Complete (10%)
Other than Cynthia leaving the scene, planning to cut the web up later-- The spider web is completely undisturbed and is therefore completely irrelevant to the murder.
7. Are there more key item's involved in this murder? Complete (20%)
Key items include: Murder weapon (Bowl), Steak knife, Pebbles and sticks picked up from around the Old Tree.

“I can answer how the hideout was found. If you’re referring to the weird ritual area. I saw a bucket in the great Druid tree and was gonna use it to fetch water for Maes. After I climbed up after it, I heard a clicking noise after I grabbed it and the waterfall opened up to reveal the new area. So I grabbed the bucket and it did something that opened a secret door in the waterfall to this secret area.”
3. Why have you been captured? Not Complete.
4. What is the Killer's Motive? (Game Objective Not Trial Objective). Not Complete.
UNLOCKED TRIAL OBJECTIVE: What/how were the sticks and pebbles used in this case? Complete - benefit to understand the other key items used in the murder.
The sticks and pebbles were picked up while Lacey was sure he was alone and/or wasn't seen by witnesses. Pebbles can easily be pocketed, while sticks were randomly picked up and thrown throughout the murder execution (action 2). The sticks would be thrown into bushes to distract witnesses (Maes and Venelop3) and make them look in the direction needed, giving Lacey a period where he is not being watched with the already horrible vision conditions.
The pebbles were used to be the thrown at the tree, giving Lacey and excuse to go around the tree and "investigate" aka to execute his next plan of murder out of sight. Pebbles were later all thrown in front of Lacey, as a way to cause a bunch of noise. The noise had the purpose of causing chaos AND to possibly disguise other types of noises, for example, the sound of ceramic being interacted with. Stomping would also add into the disguise.
Total Trial Objective Percentage Gained: 97%
VERDICT: INNOCENTS WIN!
(Props to Emi for the amazing trial that I got to laugh at your pain with, props to Lacey for your amazing actions sent in rhymes, proper enjoyed this case.)

Amelia nods her head at Gura.

Even with her equally as small size as Mr. Lacey she grabs him by the scuff of his neck and drags him to a door that opens underneath Kronii's statue (Please look back at Trial post for image).
"Well we let Gura deal with that."
"Oh no no no no no Amelia, that's no fun at all."
Yandere Fauna clicks her fingers and a screen appears before all of you. You witness Gura throw Mr. Lacey into a glass walled cage.
"Fauna what have you done?"
"I need to see the fear in their eyes."
Execution: Drown in Gold
Mr. Lacey looks around the room. It's empty. It's cold. He hears a chink. Looks behind him, a gold coin has appeared. As he goes to pick it up another chink, and then another, suddenly there are multiple gold coins. But then CHINK this coin hit him in the arm, it came so fast and cut him. But then it started to happen so fast; CHINK, CHINK, CHINK, the coins were being spat at him wounding him, they cut his eye, then his ear, wounds all over his limbs, bloodied coins landing around his body. The next wave then came as you all watched in horror. The room filled with fast zooming gold coins, all aiming at Mr. Lacey's body. You all witness on the screen as the glass room fills with coins and blood.
The arena is quiet. The tv zooms back into the heavens.
"WHAT DID YOU DO? HOW DARE YOU TAKE OVER MY ORDERS"
Yandere Fauna winks.
"That's my time to bounce, I'll find you soon saplings."
She disappears.
Time freezes once again. Except this time an owl appears in the middle of the stands. It turns into Mumei.
"So obviously you guys need a bit more help then I was hoping, you just had to not try and kill each other."
She sighs.
"To properly introduce myself, I am Mumei the keeper of Civilisation and I'm helping your guide discover your true stories, although I cannot get too involved."
She clicks her fingers and in front of her is Maes and Mr. Lacey's corpses. Although Mr. Lacey has been well and truly beaten to death by coins. Mumei places her hands over each corpse and they turn into gems. A dark blue gem for Maes and a yellow gem for Mr. Lacey.
"These are story gems, you can collect them by doing your story tasks or by death. Collect them all and find where they are supposed to go and you will unlock everybody's stories."
She passes these two gems to Venelop3.
"Currently I will presume most people will trust you, but do not worry everyone, if something was to happen to these gems they will always find themselves back with you. Now to state, every day you will get more story tasks from the Narrator (You will receive as nightly begins). You may not be able to do them straight away but before your time is up they should all be do-able. Find the gems, find where they go and unlock the Narrator from her prison. Only then will you receive the stories you deserve. I wish you luck."
With that Mumei turns into an owl and places herself back towards Ame's side. It looks like the owl is telling you to stay quiet about what just happens. Time unfreezes.
"So... I'm so sorry everyone... that's... that's not how we handle things here. Yandere Fauna is doing something to our systems. We will win, we promise just try to enjoy the rest of the solstice. You can spend some time here getting to grips with things before we take you back to the Forest.
