Game 102: Deadly 1: Did an explosion go awry?

You all eventually get to the The Old Tree.

Seems like a lot of people were already there.

Mr. Lacey is hanging from the tree. To be more specific his arm is stuck to the tree above his head with blood pouring down it. His legs not touching the floor. Cynthia is stood by the tree. There is a group of people looking on. Venelop3, Luca, Usagi, ??, Fauna, Destiny with a sword and Laurel with a dagger. Then there is Rain with a bucket with Rin, Yasu with a giant stick and Li-yong in another. Finally in walks Serra, Calli, a banged up Fauna pulling a half asleep Elias.

WAIT. Two Faunas?



The banged up Fauna gives Elias to Serra and rushes up to the other one.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?"

"Oh my poor darling sister, nothing I swear" she's says sickly sweet, she touches her hand to the other Fauna's cheek.

"It seems our guests did this."

"I don't believe you!"

"Then we'll put it to the test, let them figure out how dear old Maes died."

The unbeaten Fauna approaches Maes and puts her hand on her cheek.

"It's okay my Sapling, I'll make you bloom again. But I cannot do anything to your body whilst your friends investigate."

"You."

She looks at her sister.

"Do not get involved."

"I have asked you time and time again to leave!"

"That hasn't worked out very well for you has it?"

*FLASH*

Kronii and Amelia Watson appear between the twins.

"Alright that's enough! We messed up before but we have to deal with this. If you two are incompetent to deal with this on your own we will."

"Kronii please take our Fauna back to her Cottage, it looks like she's been in a fight and needs medical attention."

Amelia looks at the rest of you.

"I will take.... Yandere Fauna's advice. Solve this murder between yourself. Figure out what's going on in this forest. If you can you'll be rewarded."

She grins.

Amelia pulls Mr. Lacey's hand away from the tree. He yelps in pain as his hand his unstuck from something and he falls from the ground.

"Now you can help out too, although you should probably get that looked at matey."

She walks up to the corpse, before mumbling a prayer and turning to the rest of the group

"I will handle this. Bodies are not meant for mere humans to look at. Especially elven ones."

"May this one find those who know his name safely. A star will surely be named after you."

Venelop3 stands completely silent. Even the appearance of TWO FAUNASOHMYGOSH..... er, I mean... didn't quite shake her out of her troubled thinking.

"This tree... I want to take a look at it properly now... Surely it has to be safe now, right..? Please leave this area to me"

"What the hell? Someone is dead and there's TWO Faunas?"

Rin was relieved to see that Ven was still alive.



"Ah thank goodness she's still okay. I thought she'd be eaten by some man eating plants!"



"Anyway. Guess ill have to deal with this mess."

Rin sighs and then wanders off to investigate the Lovers outlook

"His name is Maze, he already told me."


He shuffles awkwardly for a few moments.


"I... I want to go back home. To my Tree-Stump Village. Can someone show me how? I get lost here a lot."

Rain looks very sad and places her bucket of water next to Maes’s body.

“I’ll take a look around Druid’s Hideaway. I remember talking to Maes there, maybe something happened after I left.”

"Once you've turned left and start heading down, keep following the right wall, and eventually you'll reach the Tree Stump Village."

She looks down at Timmy, paling when she remembers that a child is here. She needs to get him away from her, and she wasn't too keen on sticking around herself.

"I-I know where it is! Let's go together! M...Make sure to stay close, okay?"

Conjuring up the best smile she can muster, Usagi takes his hand and starts to lead Timmy away from the crime scene and towards Tree Stump Village.

Yasuraka raises a brow once he stumbles onto the scene. Not really sure how to feel or what to think about it. But instead of digging deep into his subconscious to form an opinion, he decides taking action towards solving the mystery is the better option.

"I'll check out the Spider nest clearing." As he walks off like an old man with his big stick.

Destiny watches the scene emotionlessly before turning away to search rester’s retreat

Cynthia stares at the scene contemplatively. The confirmation that Maes was dead rather than simply unconscious, while not surprising, was still dismaying. The girl shook her highlighted hair as she cleared her head, and then dropped into a crouch as she began to look around her, every so often glancing back at the group with a frown.

Serra gracefully drops the pirate handed to her and takes note of the twin hosts and detective types present. Clearly, it was not her place to be solving crimes. She continues her work in a cleaning-observational sweep of the area.
