(Continuing on from this post by Crazynuto)
...
You detect the faintest whiff of a British accent through the slightly garbled ramblings of this stranger. They proceed to list off each participant’s codename in alphabetical order, muttering to themselves about how exciting this trial should be. Everyone responds when their code names are called out, except for one person. April. The asleep girl on the altar. Was she suppose to wake up?
After roll call, the voice introduces them self as Defective, the overseer for this test.
“What you’ll be doing is using deductive reasoning to solve this mystery. Each of you will get an answer pad and a list of questions, upon which your answers will be required. Should you get them all or…mostly correct, depending on how I feel, you will be deemed Worthy and be able to continue this experiment. Should you fail or refuse to cooperate…well you’ll be considered Unworthy, and nobody wants that. That delightful little watch you’re wearing has a lovely little neurotoxin inside, specifically triggered to go off should you fail or attempt to remove it. I’ve heard the moments before you're protracted, painful death is an enlightening experience, one I envy experiencing.”
Defective laughs, a high pitched chirp that pierces your ears and peaks the mic. Defective clears their throat and continues.
“Underneath your beds there should have been a small electronic pad, upon which you can type out the answers. On it you can ask your beloved Overseer(s) any questions you’d like, publicly or privately. (In Host DM for private). Our answers will be in Red Text, and will always be absolute truths. You can trust anything that is Red, remember that.
Purple Text is perceived truths, ones that are put into your Pad when you investigate the room. These are all public and shared amongst each of you. They are…usually correct, although likely don’t tell the full story. It’s up to you to fill in the gaps and solve this mystery. Oh how I believe in you! Now then, on with the show~”
The low hum that surrounds you builds to a crescendo as the room shifts and morphs around you. You clutch onto the wall, the floor, anywhere that seems stable as your perspective shifts. The world around you shakes, your brain feels like it’s rattling in your skull. You can barely focus as lights blind your eyes, dazzling you with their gleam.
Once you are finally able to see, you feel the atmosphere of the area has changed. Standing up and looking around, you realise you are in a…tomb? Specifically a Pharaoh's tomb. Dust, sand, and darkness coats the area around you, only a couple of flickering wall torches illuminating the musty tomb. The ceiling is low, about 6 feet off the ground if you had to guess. Once your eyes get used to the low light, you spot hieroglyphics donning the walls, a bevy of surveying and archaeological equipment strewn about, and, rather eye-catching, a large sarcophagus in the center of the small room. Defective’s voice echoes out from the hidden speakers around you.
“Questions will be available once the corpse is found.”
And with that, we shall begin.
You have 48 hours to solve this conundrum. Questions will be added here soon. If you examine something, a list of truth bullets will be provided in purple. Any questions you ask, publicly or privately must be prefaced by the codename of the Overseer over your trial. We will not answer unless properly addressed.
Good Luck!
QUESTIONS:
1. How did the victim die?
2. Was the victim killed before or after being put inside the sarcophagus?
3. How did the victim get inside the sarcophagus?
4. What is the murder weapon?
5. What is the residue on the handles of the sarcophagus lid?

QUESTIONS:
1. How did the victim die?
2. Was the victim killed before or after being put inside the sarcophagus?
3. How did the victim get inside the sarcophagus?
4. What is the murder weapon?
5. What is the residue on the handles of the sarcophagus lid?
Truth Bullets:
{Sarcophagus}The Sarcophagus's lid is impossible to pick up with the strength of just one person. There is some sort of residue on the handles, which smells of fuel. When in the closed position, there is a slight slit, in which some sort of thing item could pass through.
{Rambling of the Archaeologist}There are a plethora of notepads, pens and maps scattered throughout the room. Most of it appears to be the scribbles of a mad man, and is entirely incomprehensible.
{Unmarked Can Contents}A sealed can, it contains a pale-yellow liquid, which has an extremely pungent smell, something akin to fuel, though it appears half empty. The contents are not fit for human consumption. The aroma causes you to lose your sense of smell and taste after a while. The can has been resealed, you can tell due to screwdriver marks by the lid, and small mallet indentations on the top of the can.
{Broken Surveying Equipment}The surveying equipment includes a GPS, a bird cage, and a magnetic locator, with a surveying tripod on top, however it is all broken in one way or another, whether mechanically or structurally. It is on the ground, near the sarcophagus.
{Hidden Cultic Equipment}Underneath a cloth in the corner of the room, there is a myriad of knives, daggers and other peculiar instruments, all of which look as if they would be used in some sort of ceremony or ritual.
{Footprints}Although there is a lot of foot traffic around the entrance and throughout the room, there does not appear to be any footprints leaving, and all the prints belong to the same type of shoe. The footprints are the size of an average adult man's shoe.
{Mysterious Trail}A trail of residue catches your eye, shiny, yet matte, clean, but murky. It leads from a rock, separate from the rest of them, all the way to the sarcophagus, snaking all over the place in between.
{White Jewel}When laying in the coffin, you can barely see a white jewel glittering on the ceiling, perfectly aligned with your eyes.
{Singed Material}A fibrous, singed material is scattered around the base of the sarcophagus, as well as a very small amount inside it.
{Spike in Heart}There is a long thin metal spike in the center of McTombson's heart. It appears to be a broken off piece of a surveying tripod. It matches up perfectly with a broken off leg, and is covered in blood. The wood is broken off in an irregular pattern.
{Contents in Pockets}On McTombson's person is a wallet which contains Egyptian currency, and a small bottle of water, half drunk.
{Other Details of Body}There are no obvious external wounds under his clothes. Aside from the stab wound of course. Taking a look at his hands, you find they have a small patch of rashy, irritated skin along his palms and fingers. The shoes worn by the victim are a perfect match for those left on the ground. His throat does not smell of kerosene.
{Wall Torches}On all the walls there are 7 torches, except for one, which has 6. The missing torch can be found on the floor, along with it's respective mount.
{Natural Fibres}On the broken mount, there appear to be some sort of natural fibres.
Red Text:
{Mysterious Liquid}Inside the canister exists a pale-yellow fluid which sloshes around a lot. It is a low-viscosity fluid.
{Location of the Murder Weapon}The Murder Weapon is somewhere in the room with you, right now.
{On ones ability to set the lid}It is impossible for someone of average strength lying in the sarcophagus to set the lid over themselves. With the definition of set, implying some sort of manual, physical movement.
{The Identity of the Liquid.}The liquid inside the canister is kerosene.
{Open or Closed?}The sarcophagus was closed when the victim entered the room.
