Q1: What was the cause of Marisa's death? (7 points)
Answer Given: All of the Bob-omb explosions in the angry koopa frenzy.
Correct! Full points given. Several concussive and explosive blasts were the cause of her demise. 7 points.
Q2: When did Marisa die? (5 points)
Answer Given: Action 5.
Correct! She was battered and bruised beforehand, but only at A5 was her life taken. 5 points.
Q3: Who killed Marisa? (8 points)
Answer Given: Alice was killed by King Boo, yes. However, the Endless Staircase is unnecessary. He simply floated above the victim while everyone was distracted by the commotion, dropped the lit Bob-omb, and turned invisible immediately afterwards. That way, by the time the Bob-omb landed, no one would notice where it came from.
98% Correct. 7 points. This is exactly how it was supposed to happen, but the bob-omb landed in Kokichi's hands instead. When he threw it, it caused the Koopas to react by throwing their bom-ombs as well. Still, King Boo did fly above and turn invisible which was the main part of the plan. Full points would've been added if you mentioned the Koopas role in her death more specifically.
Q4: What was the purpose of the Shroom Infection? (20 points)
Answer Given: To anger the Koopas enough to attack with reckless abandon when provoked.
While yes this is true, it was also used to confuse and hide our killer's murderous tendencies. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the best way to show that without giving up the goose, so to speak, so the evidence of anything aside from characters feeling "more angry" is weak to say the least. Still, it was meant to cause chaos throughout the night, not just specifically target the Koopas, but targeting everyone. Even with that, I can't give full points. 15 points.
Q5: What caused the Koopas to become irate? (15 points)
Answer Given: Nearly their entire supply of Bob-ombs was stolen by Alice.
Not quite! Honestly I can see where you got this answer though. There wasn't a lot of evidence that the Koopas willingly took the Bom-omb supply themselves, so I'll let it pass. Plus you mentioned in the previous point that it was the Shroom Infection that caused them to get angry when provoked, which is the whole reason why they were infected in the first place, so I'll give full marks on this one. 15 points.
Q6: How did the Shrooms spread? (20 points)
Answer given: Some shrooms were taken from the caged Toads in the Architect's House, and the infection spread through physical contact. + From the available information, this seems to be how the shrooms spread:
Caged Toads -> King Boo (A0) -> Frank (A1), E. Moji (A2), plants Koopaseum Mushroom (A3)
Frank -> Squeaks (A2), Yoshi (A3)
Koopaseum Mushroom -> Richie (A3)
Koopaseum Mushroom -> Koopas (A3) -> Alice (A4), Kokichi (A5)
Yoshi -> Syalis (A4)
E. Moji -> Erika (A5)
Honestly this is exactly how it spread. Full 20 points here. You got it exactly. There was a few mushrooms hidden in the Library and the Shroob Shop, but those weren't actively interacted with, but wow nice!
Q7: Where did the bomb(s) come from? (10 points)
Answer given: During A3, Squeaks dropped a cheese bomb into the void beneath the Endless Staircase. It emerged through a Time Portal above the Cactus Cgrove, and was promptly blasted by a laser from the Shroob Mothership, destroying the Cgrove and leaving a distinct cheesy odour.
The final explosions during A5 were due to Bob-ombs taken from the Koopaseum.
The first part of this is correct, as well as the final explosions were from the Bomb-ombs from the Koopaseum. The only tiny caveat I could even come up with is the fact that King Boo actually purchased his Bomb-omb at the Shroob Shop, but as nobody actually investigated there I won't take points off. 10 points.
Q8: Why did Marisa go to Cactus Grove/Koopaseum? (15 points)
Answer Given: Alice was chased to the Koopaseum by King Boo, who wanted to torment her. She took most of the Koopaseum's Bob-ombs as a threat and means of self-defense, but was attacked by the koopas, who had become aggressive and feral from exposure to Shrooberculosis. They chased her all the way to the Cactus Cgrove, where they continued to attack her until her demise.
While the mention of her stealing Bomb-ombs is incorrect, she still provoked the Koopas (or more truthfully, King Boo whispered lies about her to them) and was chased by them to Cactus Grove. So this is 98% correct! 14 points!
BONUS: What is the True Secret of the Endless Staircase? (20 points if 100% correct)
Answer Given: The Endless Staircase is a time portal. The stairs never go away because they are attached to the construction of the castle, similar to the rope used in nightly 1. Falling into the depths of the Endless Staircase leads to the Cactus Grove of the Gritzy Desert, 15 years ago.
I made this a bonus question because it wasn't part of the Blackened's plan, it just sorta happened like this. The secret of the Endless Staircase is that it is a Time Portal, just one that lies very very far beneath the stairs. It takes approximentally one hour for something to travel from the staircase into the set location in the past (which is random each night, although now that this secret is revealed it likely will no longer work.)
The only evidence of this is one line of text I put at the start of Deadly. It was one hour after investigations when Squeaks appeared. I know, pretty unfair on my end, hence why it's a bonus! 0 points.
Execution will be up later... For now I think someone has something to say.
