"Um... I-I believe the merchant manifest has already been stated, s-so I won't repeat things... I also looked into the Special Chamber, b-but nothing seemed out of the ordinary."

"A-at the start of the night, I left at the same time J-Jafar and Alistar did. Alistar went into the Bed Chamber, and Jafar and I went to the Duke's shop. I-I think Jafar traded some food with Duke for something... Excel came by too, b-but he left after exchanging for a bag of things."

"Jafar left later, th-then Rudy and Clover arrived. They seemed pretty prepared for trouble..."

"I-I looked outside into the hall and there was smoke...! Clover left while Rudy was talking to the Duke. Spelly entered later, th-though she was acting a little strange."

"The others left by the time I asked the Duke if he had anything to help me traverse the s-smoke, and he provided me with this gas mask... I-I went outside and felt the castle sh-shake. I think I saw Mipha walk towards the Main Hall, and th-then Yoshida came by into the Merchant's with a sh-shotgun...?"

"I-I decided to watch from behind the statues, and I saw Ranranru leave the Bed Chamber to the Main Hall. Yoshida left the Merchant's place towards the Main Hall too later on... Um... Snake also went by to the Tower of Worship with a sword."

"Th-the smoke eventually dispersed, and I noticed Snake was leaving the tower to the Merchant's. M-Munnin visited me and gave me a bag... I-I think I also saw Lady von Aurum bringing J-Joe to the Merchant's. Munnin followed after them. Yoshinon entered later and placed a mask onto a statue, and afterwards Munnin came by again. B-before I heard this t-terrifying roaring, I saw Satorae come from the Main Hall towards the Tower of Worship."

"Th-that is all I know happened..."

*A clap of hands got all of you out of the heated discussion on weed and guessing game.* 

"Alright, I see you have selected Cloak as the your path to solving this crime. Now let me explained how the rest of the trial will go. Next step, you will have to solve the howdunnit, judging by it, I think you will solve it very easily...I guess. Next would be the whodunnit that will wrap up the case. Then after that comes the voting. In between, all of you will be free to explain and discuss what transpire during the night. 

*He pauses as a black cat leaped onto him and began purring*


"Ah right, Marble, the voting system.  Yes, the voting system will be same like last time but a little different. All of you will vote but now with a vote you must provide a reasoning on why you have selected the person you have voted for. Once the trial ends, those who have selected correctly will....live to see the morning light. Those who don't...will be punished accordingly. Now let's continue."

"That's right! In it's entirety, [A3] I came from the Attic and to the Hall of Joy where I passed Kyuku walking in the opposite direction. Once out of the Hall of Joy, i saw thick smoke blankets the area, lowering visibility. that's when things got funny. there was a skunky smell. finally at the Merchant Room, I saw Rudy and Mydi-Enn there."

Wine has alcohol in it, even when it's a small percentage, and alcohol likes to burn relatively easily. And the room smells of wine. It'd be very easy to set on fire from a safe distance to prevent the arsonist from hurting themselves. Which is what I think is why the trail was set up this way. "But the way I see it, the plan had failed. The trail had been lit but it had only reached the door because it was blocked by furniture from the inside, causing the fire to be starved of oxygen and/or stuff to burn and extinguished itself before it entered the room, singing the door. This furniture had most likely fell down because of the explosion that happened during the fourth hour. Personally I think this explosion happened in the Library or somewhere nearby, causing some rumbling that could lead to furniture falling over."

Mipha smiles.

"I can think of some reasons as to why someone would set up something like this. One would be to bother the Observer as he seems to enjoy wine and this Wine room seemed to be set up for people to relax and enjoy themselves while drinking wine. Wouldn't surprise me if someone had set it up to spite him and ruin some of his castle. But there's always the other option. That someone had set this up in advance, hoping to get rid of some evidence after committing crimes in this room. Either way, this plan had failed because of the furniture that fell over, blocking the door."

"I don't see how this is plausible, because the charred trail *does not* lead into the Wine Room. It starts from outside the door and leads into the Main Hall. The crime scene investigation did not mention anything about a smell, of wine or of burnt things, and there was only a single open wine bottle on the scene - that's my Pinot Noir, by the way. There were no broken wine bottles or any missing wine, as far as we're aware of, yes? If the plan was to set the room on fire, wouldn't there have been some evidence of it?"

"Furthermore, the charred trail was made in A1 to start the fire in the Main Hall from upstairs. I was in the Wine Room at the time, so I'd know. The trail couldn't have been used to spark a fire inside the Wine Room after the furniture would have fallen over in A4 or later, even if the trail led into the crime scene in the first place."

First- my card effect on Excel-“I felt that Excel found something very interesting with the body that has a chest wound and slit throat and he seemed happy at something else.”
Happy at something other than his invest? Like, for example, moving Hanna and Snake from crucial points of info, even stopping Snake from a good read on the time of death on the bodies.Adding on to this, both of them investigated Pogokuma and Cloak.

Second-Hanna was mad at her invest result. This is also because of my card effect that I know this, but it means Hanna invested something useless, which Excel forced her to. Snake was made to invest something someone had already invested already as well, wasting one of Snakes invests

And Last- He used the card that proves a page on the first page even that could be useful down the line. Thank you for listening to me, and if you have any rebuttals, please state them.」

She nods in Alistars direction

"Saying I was upset was an understatement. I am very upset I had to investigate a room, that had 2 other people investigating it. But I digress."

"For the record, the Atelier was also a bit all over the place. The walls were painted in some... abstract art, but one wall in particular had quite a nice scene of a beach sunset, you could just see the moon rising. And, another wall was just green paint, splashed around without a care."

"I tried to check how many people used the ladder leading into the Attic, but unlike stairs, ladders don't give much information."

"The only thing missing seemed to be missing was a regularly sized chisel. As for things that got moved or played with? There was a broken canvas, and some clay, possibly modelling clay? That had been used."

She clears her throat

"I think if we would want to make any progress, we should identify who took what from where."

"According to Snake, the list of missing items were from the Merchant were: A firefighting outfit, 3 gas masks, some marijuana, gasoline, a lighter, night vision goggles, some unidentified explosives, and then copper wire, rebar, and a pen."

"I would like to come out and claim the Copper Wire, Rebar and Pen as my own. There should be no objections to that, after all, Snake and Joe should be able to confirm that."

"Then, according to Meg, Excel came in and took a bag of unidentified items. We know that both Meg and Cloak had taken a gas mask, and whoever the firefighter was, was donning the third one."

"Given how he has been reacting, I don't believe it's unreasonable to think that Excel entered the Merchant Room sometime between 12:00 and 01:00, taking at least the Firefighting Outfit, Gas Mask & Marijuana. It also seems probable that the Gasoline and Lighter were taken Excel."

"I believe that the Unidentified Explosives were also taken by Jafar, given that he blew up the Library."

"The only item that would leave as unclaimed, is the Night Vision Goggles. I believe these was likely taken by Junpei's killer."

Sholmes lay slumped against the podium, snoring blissfully away until Hanna's words caused him to stir. He slowly raises his head, warily making eye contact with Dr. Excel.

"A certain someone witnessed Cloak and Pogokuma leave the Armory...A certain someone seen leaving with a large bag of items. A certain someone spreading the smell of weed throughout the castle...It's...making far far too much sense as is. The person who attacked me, who left me for dead in a room about to explode..."

Herlock pauses, rubbing the wound on the back of his head subconsciously. He grits his teeth, forcing the words to come out, eyes never leaving Excel's face.

"It...can't have been you Dr. Excel? I...We...we're brothers in arms! Both sharing the burden of academia! I know it might sound logical and sure the pieces do fall into place rather nicely when met with this truth but...Surely I got something wrong right!? Please...deny it! Deny any involvement in this affair! I don't want to doubt you my friend but..."

"...If my assumption is correct...why?"

[Oracle]

Oracle stands at her podium, eyes looking around the room, letting the information settle before she speaks. "I'm unsure if this is the right time to give my investigation results, however, if it helps any, I in-depth'd the Dressing Room. In the corner of the partition I noticed a pile of cloth, some hats and wings were missing from the closet, as was a small sized scuba suit and a black robe. There were also dust imprints in one of the closets. There also was a pile of clothing in the room that is high enough to hide a person. The scan of the kitcehn let me know the kitchen was, indeed, messy. There is uneaten mac and cheese and unwashed cooking pans and pots."

A pause, and a continue. "Action one I went to the kitchen. I took a knife and a pan there to defend myself with if need be. Rudy and Ranraru were there. Jane and Yoshinon went down to the basement in this time. Action two I went to the library. On the way there, Junpei and Vael also walked out the area leaving only Storm in the dining hall. In the main hall there was a skunk smell, Rudy smacked Junpei with the rolling pin here and ran towards the hall of four. It was then I went through to the library. Herlock was reading a book. Yoshida was looking around. Jafar placed something on the pillars in the middle of the room. Kyuku also entered the room. Action three, I went to the courtyard. Satan went the way I came into the library. In the courtyard, Storm was there breathing heavily looking to the sky. I noticed Munnin exit the opera hall and enter the dining room door around this time.

From here, for action four, I went to the dining room. It had the same skunk smell as before, and I drunk some water. I saw Storm go through the opera hall door. I saw Rudy, from where I was in the dining room, head out to the courtyard. Yoshida also entered, then went to the main hall. He had a shotgun. Action five, I went to the kitchen. I was Munnin crouching by the basement stairs. Apparently, Munnin claimed they were cleaning a stain. Joe entered and grabbed pasta sheets and a glass tray. Allistar entered and got biscuits, he had a blanket and bedsheets. Snake walked out to the kitchen, and Hanna grabbed a mallet.

Action six, I went to the Ateliar. Most of the mess there is from me. I... became an artist, for a moment. On my way, I saw Rudy and Spelly in the dining hall. I saw Satorae descending the stairs. I saw Kyoko walking out towards the library. In the Ateliar, Yoshida was there. he had a gun. He got a chance to watch the potential of a heiress and classical art in training. Thank you for listening, continue."

Excel, you did make a mess of things tonight... But indeed, why?
  " Hm... You are not dead, are you? It could be that Mr. Excel tried to get you killed, but it didn't work. If we prosecute each and every person for trying to commit a crime in a free for all night, we would never solve the crime we chose to solve. " He smiles mockingly before continuing.

  " Mr. Excel, if you are kind enough to provide us with an exact account of your night it would help everyone realise you are not behind this. Unless you are. "

"I should confirm what I found while investigating. And that is in the main hall I found a trail of charred stuff from a pile in the corner of the stairs leading all the way to the Wine Room. Not much else beyond a skunk smell still lingering and a sword and bucket being missing. For Courtyard... found nothing of note at all. Maybe if I had time to do more than a cursory scan, I could have found something else of us. And again, Vael has not said anything that contradicts what I found. I will give my alibi in a bit."

Snake frowns and says, “There is one point that slightly puzzles me. Can you clarify where this charred trail ended? You say that it led to the Wine Room, but did the trail end outside the door, or continue underneath the door?”

Kuruguru tilts her head while thinking, "I'm not sure what you're talking about. I was in the attic during the third hour, as Satan can attest. Considering the path from the library... there was no reason for me to enter the dressing room. Perhaps you're confusing it with the following hour where I passed through the dressing room to get to the armory. There was no one in the room at that point, but a firefighter with a rolled up carpet was in the hall outside."
