Mini 67 - The Boom of the 80s

December, 1988

The economy is booming. Real Estate prices are through the roof. The streets of Kamurocho are practically paved with gold, and everyone wants a piece of the pie. The good times seemed to go on forever. Corruption, gang violence, and homelessness were at an all time high, and with a couple of well placed bribes, Yakuza families muscled their way into taking over the cash cow that Kamurocho became.

It's a rather simple exchange, in return for a cut of the profits, the local families will protect their properties from any trouble, whether it be police, hooligans, or even..."convincing" a competing store to close it's doors.

The main family that controls Kamurocho with an iron grip is the Tojo Clan, led by two of the most powerful men in the city.

Okay enough preamble, TL;DR you're gonna join this Yakuza Family and one of you is gonna do a murder in the fine city of Kamurocho. That's right a whole city is for you to explore and cause mischief in.

Kamurocho is made up of 5 different districts, each with it's own stores and properties. The Blackened will choose (up to) 3 of these districts to use in their murder plan, and (up to) 4 properties in each area to use. A list of all of them can be found here, although most are rather nondescript. The Blackened could even limit this to 1 district and go wild if so desired, who knows!

Name: Atsushi Matsuo
Weapon of Choice: New Nambu M60
Yakuza Appliction: A cordial individual with strong connections everywhere in Kamurocho and tangible connections elsewhere in Japan, Atsushi is the sort of individual to shake your hand, help you out with numerous favours, be your friend for a number of years, only to shoot you from the front without warning and wipe his hands clean without regret. Nonetheless, he isn’t a fan of confrontation or physical violence unless the situation calls for it, and is not easily swayed by emotion or irrational behaviours.

Weapon of Choice: Fist
Why you'd be a good member of the yakuza: Being raised in both Hong Kong and America has given Shen an immense familiarity and understanding of both cultures, hence is able to interact with and infiltrate gangs with excellent natural ability. Because Shen moved to the United States as an adolescent and has never had a strong father figure or male role-model, his sense of identity and self is more capable to adapt and influence giving him with certain "chameleon-like" tendencies that serve him well when infiltrating a criminal organization. (P.S. He is secretly an undercover agent to try to bring down the Tojo Clan)

He's loyal to a fault as well. Or in short, he's quiet, skilled, loyal, and has no connections to tether him to the outside world. The ideal candidate.

Yuki knows her way with words... Mostly. Especially in a tough world like this, seeing how she lacks the physical muscle. And if all fails, they mysteriously go to sleep and never wake up ever again. Never staining the Sakura name.
