MINI 65: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
The annual reunion of Hope Peak Academy's alumni was cut short by a murder on campus. While most of the former students and faculty were evacuated when the fire alarm went off in the Old Building, the main cast of the school's famed film project was trapped after a deranged maniac initiated the lockdown protocol. They have been forced to play along in a real-life re-enactment of the fictional film series, Danganronpa. The first victim of the killing game was Makoto Naegi, killed by a ballpoint pen to the eye. The culprit of the case turned out to be Byakuya Togami, although Sayaka Maizono was the one executed during the trial. As Monokuma's promise, they announced the beginning of the second round of the game at the end of Mini 64. The show must go on...
In Mini 65’s continuity, the events of Danganronpa are fictional, while SHSL skills exist. It is an amateur film project directed and acted years ago by the school’s film club. The characters were loosely autobiographical and the filming venue, Hope’s Peak Academy, is the name of the school the actors once were students at. In addition, the precise events of the film series may deviate from the games and other Danganronpa media at the players’ discretion.
To sign-up, post your character’s name, picture (optional), their SHSL skill, their role in the production of the film project (other than actor/actress) and a murder weapon they brought to the reunion. In Mini 64, everyone was also expected to bring one murder weapon with them to commemorate the success of the film series, which was to be viewed in the auditorium during the event. If the character was featured in Mini 64, you can keep the same item they had or switch it.
You may only sign-up as canon characters from the Danganronpa franchise, with the exception of Makoto Naegi, Byakuya Togami and Sayaka Maizono, who are unplayable. If you played in Mini 64, you don’t have to play the same character if you don’t want to.
The sign-ups will close around midnight on Wednesday. You can apply for Blackened before the sign-ups are closed, after which the Blackened will be rolled for traditionally. We’ll be using the Hope Peak’s Academy maps: at least the first floor will be open in its entirety, but the Blackened makes the call on what floors will be open based on what floors they want to use in their murder plan.
The Blackened will have 24 hours to submit their plan as usual. I’m aiming to get alibis and truth bullets out by Friday and have the class trial over the weekend.
