"You think a dead man did this?" Phantom chuckles. "Very well, let's find out."
The bodies of Hayasaka and Maddox have mist surround them and the energy gathers, presenting an image once more in the fog covered sky.
{Their Night Begins}
The images form, starting with Maddox early in the night, gathering ingredients from salt to spices to ten vials to many other things all places carefully in a bag. He burns sage in the room, warding off spirits. And in the next, and in the next. Sometimes there's someone there, sometimes not, but his purpose is clear. He means to dispel ghosts, as he tells each person.
A flash over to Hayasaka, following Danni carefully until they're alone. Then she grabs Danni and chokes her from behind, knocking the admin unconscious. She grabs the keycard and attempts to enter the Admin room to no avail. Instead she slips into another room just as others enter.
Maddox enters his room and sits down, mortar and pestle, to grind the spices and carefully fit them into vials.
Hayasaka now is sitting with Danni, the latter with a drink in hand while Hayasaka sings and passes the microphone to Danni every so often. Danni's edge cools down a bit, just a bit. Hayasaka and Danni decide to head back towards the room, looking for a keycard.
Maddox sets aside the vials and looks about the room. It is then that he pulls out rope and a pickaxe. He sets it up with a trip wire with the rope, and a rock to prop the door open, and then pours gunpowder he retrieved in a line before compacting more in the glass jar for the dill and setting the jar at the end of the line. He pulls out a knife and slices himself, blood pooling out of him. He then rests by a wall, writing down three numbers before plunging the knife into his chest and then kicking over a lit candle onto the gunpowder trail. His last sight is of the door to his room opening.
Hayasaka looks around with Danni for a few moments before they "find" the key card. Danni immediately takes it and goes into Room 1, clearly looking for something. Hayasaka, however, notices smoke pooling out of Room 3. She goes to open the door, just a crack more, but the trip wire is activated. The door slams open and a pickaxe swings. Hayasaka turns just in time to see metal glint before... pain... complete and utter pain.
The sound of an explosion goes off as both lives flicker out a moment before.

Mist gathers around Maddox's body once more and with a jolt, Maddox feels his spirit fill his injured and lifeless body once more. It hurts and he feels empty, but he can move--somewhat--and speak.
