The sun finally sets, casting the town and its solemn residents into darkness. Chatot's Echoed Voice once again blares through Treasure Town:
"Attention, recruits! Please make your way to the crossroads as soon as possible! The proceedings will begin shortly."
The apprentices quickly do as they're told, finding themselves almost used to the morbid ritual. They wait for Monotuff to arrive, when the large boulder covering the entrance to the trial room begins moving on its own! It shakes and teeters from side to side, before finally popping upwards and landing several feet back, revealing the staircase—and the guildmaster.
"Surprise! It was me all along! Come on everybody, let's get right to it!"
The apprentices follow Monotuff, followed shortly by Chatot, though he seems lost in thought. When the apprentices arrive in the warmly lit trial room, the first thing they notice is the array of colourful bracelets that have been placed on all but two of the wooden likenesses—the brand new likenesses of Mimikyu and Eternatus are the only ones without. In total, ten likenesses occupy the circle of podiums, outnumbering the living apprentices who soon join them. Monotuff takes his place on his tall seat, and Chatot quickly joins him. The guildmaster clears his throat:
"Is everyone listening? Before we begin, I'd like to once again explain the rules of the proceedings!
Your goal here is to figure out who the Meanie that killed Mimikyu is! You've all had a bunch of time to look around, so now it's time for you to talk about what you found!
Once you've come to a decision, we'll hold a majority vote and see who you think the Meanie is.
If you get it right, the Meanie's apprenticeship will be over in a flash! If you don't manage to find them, though... well, someone will have to take the blame! Sorry, that's just how it works!
Yup, that covers it. Let's get right down to it! Yoom-tah!"
Their orders laid out plainly before them, the apprentices have no choice but to comply.
Who killed Mimikyu?
Welcome to Trial 4! As stated before, all players are required to at least post their investigation results and some kind of summary of their activities during the night. More in-depth discussion is highly encouraged. In other words—be active!
You may ask questions of Monotuff and Chatot, though they are not likely to divulge any information that would make the trial too easy. They reserve the right to refuse or ignore any question asked of them. Neither will ever tell a deliberate falsehood.
Finally, as usual, have fun!
The trial will last 48 hours. If more time is absolutely required, we may add an amount of time up to an additional 24 hours before the trial closes.
Good luck, and happy exploring!
