Game 96 - Daily Life 4 (Monotuff's Guild)

[Peregrine]

The morning come, Chatot awakens the 11 remaining apprentices and summons them to the Main Hall.

Once everyone has arrived, Monotuff and Chatot lead them in their morning cheer, something a few apprentices are more eager to participate in than others. Just when the apprentices think they're excused, however, Chatot clears his throat:




"Before you go, I'm sure you're all wondering about those announcements I mentioned. Well, the guildmaster and I are very happy to announce that all of you wi—"




"You'll be going on your very first expedition! I'm so excited I could burst!"




"Ahem. Yes, that. We've made far less... efficient use of the Guild's and Town's resources than we had initially budgeted for. We're beginning to run low, so we've decided this would be a perfect opportunity for you to experience a real expedition! Nothing dangerous, mind you—we're just restocking our food and wonder orbs, so leave as much room in your explorer packs as you can manage! Now, there is one last thing..."



"I hate to have to do this, but... Eternatus, your actions last night were in clear violation of this Guild's Code of Conduct. We have it on good authority that you willfully caused extensive damage to Treasure Town property—a home, no less! I'm afraid we have no choice but to severely punish you..."

The apprentices look on in astonishment, terrified of what might happen to one of their newest recruits.



"...As such, you will not be given dinner tonight. I hope you've learned your lesson. Alright everyone, dismissed! We depart for our expedition this evening, so make sure you're ready by then!"


With that, Monotuff returns to his room while Chatot begins heading towards the Mess Hall.

Daily Life 4 will last approximately 48 hours. After that, there will be a short hiatus over the weekend coinciding with the Guild expedition due to temporary host unavailability. This will function as a very extended Action Zero, meaning a blackened should be selected before then.

Nincada grabs the witch's hat and the healing orb from last night, and makes a bee line for the place with the pouch! (He may get lost along the way)

[Peregrine]

Nincada heads up the ladders and down the stairs towards Treasure Town.

[Tetsu]

Ark heads to his bedroom after the announcement, the one he and Sandy shared.

“Hey! Hey Sandy, what is it? That we found?”

[Peregrine]

Arcanine returns to his room and finds the object they'd discovered: a small, leather-bound book with most of its pages torn out. Its face is embossed with a flower-shaped emblem.

[Tetsu]

Ark flips through the pages to see what it is about to see if anything catches his eyes about the previous owner or contents.

[Peregrine]

Flipping through, only 5 pages have been left fully intact. The rest have either been torn out, or rotted away from the damp of the soil the book appears to have been buried in, if the small hole dug into the ground is any indication. In the surviving pages, Arcanine sees the following:

On the inside of the back cover, Arcanine can barely make out the words "Property of Sunflora."

“Sunflora? Who’s Sunflora??”
Ark ask Sandy as he looks and ponders.

[Ktoasty]

Sandshrew is definitely in the room with Arcanine when he gets looked at. "Sounds like a Pokemon name, but I've never seen one around here. These constellations kind of remind me of what I saw in the telescopes the past couple of nights though, don't you think?"

[Tetsu]

Ark nods
“True, maybe all these others are Pokemon’s too and those might be Pokéllations?”

He looks at Sandy

“Do you think...we should ask Chatot or Monotuff?”

[Ktoasty]

Sandshrew tilts his head. "They might know about it, Chatot at least seemed to show a reaction last night. I could go look for him, but there might be more notebooks like these buried in the bedrooms, don't you think?"

[Tetsu]

“True...but what’s weird is that...I think anything except our beds which went missing..? Do you think..someone else is hidden in the guild besides those here? And why leave us with this book?”

Ark looks concerned and then he sniff the book to see if he can get a scent.

[Ktoasty]

Sandshrew tries to sniff the book too, or the hole. "Maybe it's the spirits of our friends. I know you haven't gotten an HM yet Arcanine, but it seems like the expelled apprentices are still around. One of them might have found it and dug it up for us."

[Tetsu]

Ark looks at Sandy dumbfounded

“You mean...the dead can see what we are doing and who were the meanies..before??”

He shook his head

“Are you sure they are able to dig it up? I mean...o...”

Ark feels very confused

[Ktoasty]

Sandshrew nods. "That might be right. Also, if this book was buried here, then it may have belonged to a past apprentice. We never did meet any senior apprentices when we arrived here though. Where did they all go?"
