A familiar bell you've never heard before chimes four times.
Your attention, wherever it was before, is drawn to a nearby screen. One that seems to phase into reality as if that's a completely normal thing to do.
Static at first, then tuning into a young girl on a chair - who gleefully eats a tub filled with mint ice cream. The colour matches her hair.
"A body has been discovered! I want everyone at the Motel, quickly! If you're late, I'll cut off your fingers!"
After a day of entertaining yourself with the various facilities Jabberwock Island had to offer, the thought of murder left your mind and locked the door behind it. The therapeutic nature of the wonderful weather seemed to pacify even the others you were wary of at the beginning of your time on the island. And as the sky began to turn orange, you believed you had been "trapped" in little more than a paradise.
You were wrong.
Codeskull and Celestia think themselves the first to arrive on the scene, until they notice Cassidy, Viola and Sayaka standing at the door to Room 008, which lies slightly ajar - the ocean's breeze gently pushing it open and closed. On Cassidy's face is a look of intrigue, on Sayaka's one of great distress, and on Viola's... well, she looks just the same as usual. It's hard to get a read on her.
As the two newcomers approach, Cassidy opens the door wider for them. They're shown a fairly normal motel room. Boring browns and yucky yellows fill the atmosphere - they can definitely tell this is a much cheaper alternative to the hotel rooms you've all been staying in personally. There is, however, one thing that draws their attention...
While they're all busy guffawing at that sight, they fail to notice Satsuki and Kisha wandering a little closer, who then get to see the lovely sight for themselves.
There's surely someone missing. Alas, you don't have enough time to figure out who that is - because something pops up behind you, with a very audible noise.
"I'm sooo proud of you all! I didn't even have to give out a motive - and you go and end up killing already! You're the BEST class I've ever had! Oh, I'm gonna miss you when you're all dead!"
"Hmm... usually I'd give you a Daisy File™ and help you along, buuuut... it doesn't say in the laws I have to do that at all! I guess you chumps are on your own! See you at the Trial! Kyahahahaha!"
And then she disappears with the same, weird, cartoony sound that played when she arrived.
With that distraction out of the way, everyone returns their attention to the main problem here - the body. A silent agreement comes across you all. You know what must be done.

INVESTIGATION - START!
You are now given the opportunity to vote for places on the island to investigate. You may vote for as many rooms as you please. However, only the top six voted areas will be investigated. As always, the body is considered a separate room.
In the same vein, much like the previous Mini Trial you are permitted to vote on the alibis in addition to rooms. An unknown number of the top-voted alibis will be provided to the one the alibi belongs to - and it will be up to them to communicate this with the rest of you.
Pray to RNGesus, for it is He that will decide the fate of ties.
