Hello, and welcome to Game 89!
This is to be a Game like never before seen here on DRG.
This is to be a Game like never before seen here on DRG.
First of all, welcome back to Hope's Peak Academy. For those of you new here, you can view the school's layout in this thread.
Hope's Peak Academy is home to many extraordinary students, and many exceptional activities; including the all popular murder mystery simulation Games! Very soon, all interested students will be allowed to sign-up for our next round of these Games!
Upon starting the Game, which will begin shortly after hearing a brief welcoming speech from our secret mascot, all students will find themselves in their dorm rooms, and find a letter in an envelope detailing something they must do that day. Those who do not complete their task by the end of the day will find themselves become Failed. Failed students will be penalized; these penalties have a wide range, depending on how difficult the task was, and how much time they had to complete it. Examples may include such things as not being allowed to say a word during the Trial, or being limited in their investigations!
During the time everyone is assigned a task, all students will have the ability to commit "murder"! That's right, anyone will be allowed to "kill" anyone at any time! Keep in mind the goal is to make sure no one can figure out it was you who did it, so be crafty! Once one "murder" is committed, the resulting Blackened (and ONLY the Blackened, which will be ensured by our mascot) will be allowed to "murder" one more person, until 3 or more other people discover the body. At this point, a school-wide Body Discovery Announcement will be made, and all students will have a short time to investigate before a Class Trial begins!
At this Class Trial, all "alive" students will debate who the killer is. There will be a set maximum time limit to the Trial; however, if a large amount of the participating student all agree on who the killer is, the Trial will end early. If the maximum time expires without a general consensus on who the Blackened is, the Trial will end as a failure. Rewards will be given out to whichever side wins the Trial: the innocent, or the Blackened.
Oh, and if the day ends before a "murder" has taken place, then we'll have a different type of Trial! These will vary based on what people have done over the course of the day, but generally speaking, your host will provide a question, and you all must answer it! In the event that the host asks a question that has an answer of one of the students, for that Trial, that student will pass or fail the Trial as a Blackened would.
Once the Trial is ended, an extra floor to the school will open (only the first will be available at the start of the Game), and then we'll repeat the process from scratch, wiping away any Blackened's or Failed's! Keep in mind, because this is just a fun, team-building, mentally-challenging activity, everyone who was "murdered" gets to come back and play in the next round! I'm sure nothing will change that at all! Yup, nothing whatsoever could ever ruin that!!!
