GKG 2: Class Trial 3

Signalled by the chime you've all grown accustomed to, your time for investigation ends.



"Um... I'd like everyone to make their way to the Graveyard, where the Class Trial will begin..."

And so, you do as you're told like good students ought to. The gates to the Graveyard are wide open, while what looks like a Trialground is in the middle of the Graveyard itself.



"Sorry... this was the only place I could fit a Trialground on such short notice. Not even I can do everything..."

A sad Usami sits on the throne previously belonging to Monokuma while all of you make your way to your designated spots.



One among you murdered Kanatare Yui, the Ultimate Apothecary.

One among you betrayed the trust you all had in one another.

One among you is a killer.

Believe it or don't: It is simply the truth.

And so...

...this life-threatening Class Trial, billowing with Hope and Despair...

...has begun.

Opera is smirking coldly, twirling his fingers between his sleeve.
"Isn't it a marvelous place, our trial ground? Oh, I shall be talking about it. I shall."
A1, I departed for the Music Venue, to get an idea of what the place looked like. You always do that with a heist~
A2, Dora and I were at the Mart. I purchased several Koke cans, a white towel, a knife, and candles. Keep these in mind, children~ Oh, and Dora did not see a thing~ Quite a shame~
A3, I entered the Hospital with Kirari, and got several blood bags. She was investigating as I was gathering a supply. She looked disappointed in me, which is saddening. If only she knew their purpose.
A4, I reentered the Music Venue and proceeded my plan. It was quite simple. Paint a Satanic star with candles at the tips, then surround it in Koke. I would sit at the middle and kill myself! A wonderful plan...if I wasn't foiled. Sadly, whatever they CURSED ME WITH was able to stop it 55 times in a row...in shame, I ran. 
A5, I ran to the Dorms, screaming and crying. Gundham, Kanatare, and Dora were there. Kanatare entered his own dorm for some reason. I proceeded to shout, scream to the heavens, "Why won't they just let me die?" I pleaded and begged. Dora didn't look happy, and Gundham stared at me coldly. Since Kanatare, the victim, was spotted here, we can comfortably say he died Action 6.
A6, I departed here, to the Graveyard, and enacted a ceremony for John...but...his grave disappeared the same way he did...I...
He stops for a moment, looking ready to cry.

[Zero One/Zero Two]

I'll go next.

Trying not to think too much about what has happpened. Or what about to happen if they got it wrong again.

My night was lonely as ever. In fact, I was alone the entire night. Unbelievable, huh?

A1, as usual, I go to the Rocketpunch Mart to do some shopping. I took a tazer, a camera, some sticky notes, a pen, a machete, a lighter, some matches and a backpack. Since our days are numbered here, might as well go all out. But then, suddenly, out of nowhere, Monokuma appears and scream at me, saying that, I'll put him out of business if I take so much free stuff. With this much killing going on, I didn't really thought he'd be this stingy. But, what ever...

A2, alone again, I went to the Nezumi Castle to investigate the password or code, that late Naru talked about, and took a photo of it, and leave a note there.

A3, lonely as ever, I entered the Carpenter's Research Lab to find the portrait that late Nana talked about, and took a photo of it, and leave a note there too.

A4, I entered the Despair Lab all by myself and there's something about the place that gives me the creeps. Again, I snap a picture of the portrait on this wall, and compared it to the portrait from the Carpenter's Lab. It did not match. Feeling slightly dissappoint, I leave a note as usual, and carry on with my plan.

A5, I'm alone as I entered the beach area. I didn't notice it at first, but then I realised it. I saw Monokuma on the ground, in front of me, completely destroyed. Not sure what to do, and half panicking. I decide to ignore it, and pretends I didn't see it. Fast forward, I made a, kind of a fire pit, but big and large enough to attract the attention of any passing by ships, or even aircraft. But seeing as we're still here, I guess that didn't work out very well.

A6, feeling tired, I took a rest, and decided to drink some coconut milk, while waiting for help to arrive. Evetually, fatigue consumes me, and I falls asleep under the star... Hoping that when I open my eyes, I'll be in the safety and comfort of my home. But that's just wishful thinking, huh? I should've known better.

Oh, did I mention I'm alone at A6?

[Kiyo]

''Here is my alibi..''

''Action 1, I was accompanied in the Harbor by Shouta. He was tending to a strange plant while I was... screaming my frustrations at the sea. When Shouta finished with his plant he made a circle of stones. Quite weird...''

''Action 2, Opera and I entered Rocketpunch Mart, and I went to buy some drinks for something fresh, I tried to stay as far away as possible from Opera, so I didn't really see what he bought. Not that I care what he would buy.''

''Action 3, I went to the bathroom. Alone, obviously.''

''Action 4, I saw my makeup was messed up, so I used my time in the bathroom to put on makeup.''

''Action 5 was when I needed someone to vent to. I started to knock on some people's door until someone opened. Gundham was standing outside with his arms folded. I notice Kanatare entering his dorm with a bag over his head... but that isn't possible, is it? Also, Opera came and screamed.. it sounded like he wanted to die.

''Action 6, I somehow got into Gundham's room... A few moments, there was awkward silence, before he sends his hamsters out to destroy me... so I had to run.''

"What I did first was simple; I went towards the Student Dorms and tried to summon the Rabbit herself, Usami..."
Gundham then pauses and smiles.

"I wanted to do the blessed action of apology towards the heavenly Rabbit... she did nothing wrong - Unlike 'him'. The rabbit can confirm that for me..." 

"Then... I went to the pool of illusion near the Hotel and then Kanatare was with me. She fall into the pool... I had to help her back up..."

"I then went to the airport and casted... I also sent my 'Four Dark Devas of Destruction' to scout the Rocketpunch Market."

"TRANSFIGURATION OF MORTAL MATERIAL, LEVEL FIVE! And it worked!"

"The Airplanes started to MOVE! HAHAHAHAH! FEAR THE TANAKA EMPIRE!"

"I then went to the Student Dorms, nothing happened, like an illusion spell... And then later on I saw Dora, Speaker of Seven Hundred Tongues knocking on random doors while Opera, the Immortal was screaming "WHY WON'T THEY LET ME DIE?!""

"I then went to my own dorm, attending to the 'Four Dark Devas of Destruction'... Until Dora went to my room... After a while of silence, I was about to send the 'Four Dark Devas' to ask her to leave."

"For now I will give you my alibi, however, and annoyingly, I won't lie it isn't a very strong one:

Firstly I went to watch a movie in the Movie Theatre with Maya together. The only thing showing was a poorly animated feature about Usami beating up Monokuma for around ten minutes. We were both rather disappointed by the presentation. 

Secondly, I explored the Music Venue alone. The only thing of note I really noticed was a Storage Room near the back, filled with random instruments and whatnot. Nothing too interesting. 

Thirdly, I  went to the Hospital and both me and Opera entered together. Whilst I was checking for any murder equipment that people could possibly use, Opera just runs around the place randomly taking blood bags from everywhere he can think of. 

Then I entered the Motel alone. I was forced to "check in" before I could even look at the rooms, so I swiped my Student Handbook on some automatic device and did some investigating. On closer inspection, these rooms are disgusting - nothing at all like the Student Rooms we've grown accustomed to. 

After that disgusting encounter I went and ate dinner all by myself in the Hotel Restaurant. 

Finally, I was again alone as I entered the Pool area. I dipped my feet in the water and end up staring at the sky for an unknown amount of time."

"I've noticed you guys aren't talking about your investigations yet, but I will as they strengthen both what Opera and Gundham said:

Firstly, as usual I followed a gambling lead about our poor victim and discovered that at one point during the Night, Kanatare was at the Pool with Gundham. He fell in and was rescued whilst being called a "fiend".

Secondly, my investigations of the music venue showed me that outside of the storage room there was some sort of Satanic circle, made completely of blood. There was a knife and a white towel in the centre of the circle, but they were both spotless. There was also candles at each tip of the Satanic star thing. If that's not enough, I decided to take a closer look in the Storage Room where I discovered a weird piece of string on the floor. However, from listening to Opera, I'm under the assumption that the string was part of the murder case.
Finally, seeing as I might as well get the investigations all done as there is one left, I know that Opera and that creepy boy also investigated these areas but I will tell you my investigations of the body, Kanatare's corpse was in the back of the Music Venue in the Venue's storage room. It was "hidden" inside a large drum, but it was not that hard to see. Around his neck was a thin red mark, and only as I got closer to the body did I realise that he is missing all of his clothing apart from his underwear. I maybe off the mark here, but I'm assuming this wasn't because his clothes were wet, as someone said he was seen afterwards (Action five).

This is what I uncovered, I understand you guys wanted to get alibis out of the first, but I really felt like my investigations help with above alibi's and it also starts the ball rolling I suppose."

"This is my alibi:

• Action 1) Me and Kiari go to the theatre to watch the only movie there. It was extremely terrible and you should never watch it.
• Action 2) I go the the graveyard,alone, to mourn the deaths of our friends. It was very nice and peaceful.
• Action 3) I head to the Mart to check if they're are any new products. Turns our there was none. I also heard a faint laugh coming from outside the store.
• Action 4) I was alone in the hotel lobby, hoping to talk to someone. I just read a magazine instead since no one else was there.
• Action 5) I go to the music venue to try and listen to some music, but they were all bad quality.
• Action 6) I return to the hotel lobby, with Shouta there as well. We talk about plants and had a very pleasant conversation.

I want to mention that during my Action 5 (Music venue), there was no body and no strange smell emitting from the place, so something occurred to our victim during Action 6.

These are my results from investigating:

• Harbor: There was a strange plant, one that I've never seen before, as well as a circle of rocks, but I deduce what they were used for.
• Hotel Restaurant: It looks the same as it always does, but now there are crumbs on the floor, so someone must have been eating in here
• Carpenter's Lab: It's the same as normal, but now with a sticky note on the wall displaying "Noah was here"
• Despair Lab: Once again it looks the same, but with another sticky note displaying "Noah was here"

Now these investigations seem useless, but with my whitened skill, I can definitely say that at least one of these places are relevant to the crime!"

"Hmm hmm...heehheeheh...I forgot about my investigations~"
The body was found stuck in a drum in the storage room. As I was on the crime scene as well, and seeing as how I defaced it earlier with my ritual, I was able to tell that practically everything not in the immediate area of the body was useless, save for the string found. The string matched a mark around the victim's neck perfectly, so I will deduce this is the murder weapon. His expression was that of being tired, so I will also deduce that A5, he wished to sleep, hence he left for his dorm. His tongue was stained blue, and his clothes were gone. He was shoved into the drum very much so, however no bones were broken. There were no immediate signs of struggle, so I would like to perhaps say that the victim was asleep. The cause of death is a sure case of strangulation, and time of death is exactly Action 6.

"I have checked the Rabbit's Corral, Hotel Lobby, the Abandoned Building's kitchen, the Movie Theater, the Graveyard and the Hospital."
 
"The Rabbit's Corral and Hotel Lobby are useless, they lack any truth with this case."

"The Kitchen has some type of drinks missing. The Movie Theater had an ongoing movie with something brought during nighttime."

"The 'Evil Eye' disobeyed and did not tell me what it was!"

"The Graveyard looked normal, there was a strange looking flower... But it did not allude to anything... The Hospital looked almost intact... Minus from two items labeled 'Blood Bags' looked empty... However, Opera, the immortal tooked them." 

[Zero One/Zero Two]

Yeah, investigation, right.

For Beach, the first thing I notice is the firepit I made last night. The flame's still going strong. If only my will to live burn as strong as this flame.

Next, is the coconut I drink last night. Though now, it looks abandoned. Much like our fate here, on this abandoned island.

Lastly, with the help of the sun, I can now clearly see the lifeless body, or should I say, corpse of the one who used to rule this island with ironfist, now lay there, lifeless, wrecked, completely destroyed, beyond repair. Isn't it amazing what life have in store for us? Sometime, we're on top, next thing we know, we're down at the bottom. Upon closer inspection, it seems as though the damage was cause by an explosion. Though I do not know, whether it's internal, or external.

As for Student Dorms, there's a set of footprints, standing firmly at one place. Specifically, near the center of dorm area in general. It is in one place, with no start nor end. How mysterious.

But of course, non of you guys were with me the entire night, nor any of you investigate the Beach with me. I get it if you doubt me. After all, it's only natural.

''I investigated the Beach, Rocketpunch Mart and Kanatare's dorm room... The beach was just explained and the Rocketpucnch Mart has nothing new, so I'll go over Kanatare's dorm...

In front of me, there were Kanatare's clothes, laying on the ground. Next to them are two tote bags made of hemp cloth, with the decal of Monomi's face on them. I'm pretty sure you get those from the movie theater, correct? If that's true, the culprit had to have gone to the movie theater.''

"I suppose I shall grace you all with my opinion.
The Rocketpunch Mart was deemed useless because of my ability. There are only three people who could have done this murder. Noah, Kagaku, and Kirari. All others were either with someone during Time of Death, or me. While Noah spent a large amount of time alone, he also took a large amount of items from the Mart, specifically sticky notes. These are what prove his innocence. If he did not slap them around haphazardly, I would not call him innocent. The Mart is confirmed to be useless despite having an excessive amount of evidence, therefore Noah cannot be the murderer due to irrelevancy. This means that the only possible culprits must be...Kirari, or Kagaku. Kirari at least has somewhat of an alibi, and was able to confirm that she had eaten at the Hotel Restaurant, and there were crumbs located there. However, Kagaku has nothing, and could have easily done anything during the five actions they were alone. Even though there were sodas found, and Kagaku has given an explanation as to why, Kagaku still has to answer for the other five actions of their departure.
But what do I know? I'm hanging by a thread in the sanity department~"

[Spell Craft]

Kagaku lifts his head. He seems to have come to some realization during the night. Something must have clicked in Kagaku's head, and now he seemed more serious than the other previous nights.

"I'll begin with what I investigated first. Nothing to much note, but even seemingly useless searches can be benefiting.

Bathroom: An odd place to investigate. The door is open, probably meaning someone used the bathroom at some point during the night.



Motel: There's nothing out of the ordinary here.



Pool: Monokuma's missile launchers from yesterday aren't here anymore, so there's water back in the pool. You don't notice anything else of interest, though.



Dining Hall: The door is shut so tight you're convinced it's locked, but no. Apparently you're the first person to ever open this door. Nice job. You check, but there seems to be no blood stains or fingerprints of any kind here.



Airport: Expecting to see the same things as always, you're not surprised when you find nothing of note in the airport. But one of the planes outside looks... different...



Hallway: A boring room is befitting of a boring investigation. You find nothing of note here."

[Spell Craft]

"Here's what occurred during my night.

At first, Kanatare and I were together as you enter the Kitchen. I took a drink for my troubles and sorrows while Kanatare just looks at the kitchen equipment for some odd reason.


Secondly, I was alone while you drank and stared into the ocean at the Harbor. Nothing of note happens.


I was alone in the Graveyard, during the third of the night, as I looked for evidence on what apparently happened last night. There's nothing that was immediately obvious, but I ended up finding a few screws on the ground... As I was about to leave, I swear I heard a very faint laughing from somewhere else on the island...


Fourthly, once more, I'm alone as I entered the Hospital. The records are completely empty of people, but I was able to find out about something called the "Despair Disease". Unfortunately, nothing else about it is listed other than the name.


Another action of loneliness as you enter Nezumi Castle to investigate that code on the fifth of the night. And, well... it was right in front of me. 5 symbols on the ground, spelled out to form "D A 1 5 Y". I wasn't able to find much meaning in it.


Alone again in the last hours of the night, I entered the Motel and checked the records. Surprisingly, I find that one person "checked in", even for a brief moment - Kirari. The records, unfortunately, don't tell me when she checked in, though. Other than her, there was nothing of note there."

[Hosh]

"(1) Since some people reported a strange plant growing at the Harbor, I decided to investigate it. Sadly, it just seemed to be a harmless plant made by Monokuma. After that, I made a circle of rocks to please the moon spirits, as we were, once again, gonna die soon. Dora watched me during this.
(2) I stayed at the Harbor and prayed to the moon spirits within the circle. I was alone during this time, which was perfect so I could focus on channeling the moon spirits.
(3) I decided to check out the Ultimate Despair Lab, to see if it got cleaned up after my... ritual a few nights before. As I expected, all evidence of it got cleaned up. I was alone during this time too.
(4) I went to the Movie Theatre to see a movie. While I went through the Theatre Lobby, I saw Kanatare there, taking two tote bags. I did not think much of it and sat through the movie which was, to put it lightly, a disappointment.
(5) I went to the Graveyard alone, remembering the strange flower there too. As expected, this one was just as much of a disappointing as the other one at the Harbor.
(6) I ended my night be telling Maya about the world's variety of plantlife in the Hotel Lobby. I enjoyed it very much."
