As they finish the last letter, the person behind the desk stands up, collecting all 20 letters and putting them in fancy envelopes. The shadow leans on the windowsill, watching 20 owls take off to their respective targets.
IMPORTANT: NEW STUFF
First of all, this game won't be using skills. They're a huge pain to make and they always end up causing drama in the end.
Instead there will be a Schoolstore:
The Schoolstore is an app on your Student Handbook where you can buy items and spells during Nighttime and Deadly Life. During Nighttime, you can buy Blackened items with Blackened points. During Deadly Life, these will both be Whitened.
Everyone starts with 5 points for each category. Earning them back goes very slowly though, so don't spend them all in chapter 1!
Choosing Blackened/Whitened in the application above will give you an extra point for the respective category.
Your talent will, however, not be completely useless: You can use your talent for murder and investigation, but these will be natural, not forced. Tiny stuff like an athlete being able to reach that high window or a janitor spotting a tiny drip of blood faster. In Blackened context, these will be much easier to solve and more characterbased.
Next up, NPC's. This game will have a few NPC's: They walk around during nighttime, can be killed, can participate in the trial and can even be the killer if no one applies and I have a great plan in mind.
I'll try to never give them the relevant information or alibi's during trial.
What happens if the Blackened wins? They get to walk free or stay, depending on their choice. I'll always reveal their identity and plan though, because not knowing whodunnit sucks.
The losing spotless will have their vote and one other "random" person executed.
