Another 2003: Before the Hunt (D3)
[ you all approach the board. ]
on it is you and a fellow 3-3 person you have been paired with.
WHAT TO DO:
Interact with your partner then approach the overlord once you know which NPC from years 1 or 2 you wish to join you on the adventure. Once you’ve got your NPC and partner approach Mr. Handa and get your clues sheet.
The race will officially begin in 26 or so hours.
Good luck. And be prepared for death.

For once you weren’t all sunken in by depression, purely because you all were forced to line up outside your classroom and couldn’t see who was missing based on the desks position and the flowers. For all you guys knew somebody hadn’t died for once! Obara silently celebrates in his wheelchair, Ohno stares at the floor, looking troubles and Saito chuckles to himself. The overlord stood before you all, counting heads and marking you off on her roll, until Kamiji Ashe approached her. He whispered something into the womans ear and she gasped, clutching her hands to her chest.
“…Of course, it was stupid to assume otherwise… Thank you Kamiji.”
The boy nodded and walked back down the hall, where another third year class was lined up. Overlord stares at you in in disdain before bowing her head.
“I’m afraid last night we lost Yagami Kris… He was taken by a riptide… His corpse was found this morning by Kyubei Nori.”
She takes a deep breath, letting the news sink in before continuing.
“…We have to put that aside for now… You all have to follow me, we’ll speak outside. Today is the third years special day after it. The annual school hosted town scavenger hunt..."
She leads all you poor, unfortunate souls outside into the courtyard, where you line up amungst the other third years in family name order. Overlord stands amidst two other teachers. Behind them is a large whiteboard with pieces of paper stuck to them.
“Each of you have been paired off into groups of two. Once you’ve found your partner you’ll approach Mr. Handa, who’ll give you the clues and items you need to find. Those in 3-3, as there’s so little of you we’re giving you the option to choose one person from a lower year level each to join your group, so 3-3’s group will be four people.”
There are groans of it being unfair. I don’t think overlord cares though because she has a soft smile on her face.
“Of course, it’ll be the first and second years they get to choose from… so they won’t be of much help.”
Miss. Kawaii raises a flag to the air and swipes it downwards.
“Let the race begin!”
