Everybody wakes up in their rooms, on a large, comfy bed, to the sound of an obnoxiously loud siren. Suddenly you all hear an announcement, calling everyone to the Gym. With no idea where you are, or where the Gym is, everyone blindly stumbles out of their rooms, filing into the hallway, and walking down what appears to be school hallways until you find a large, open room with a stage on the far wall that does look like a Gym. Everyone files in, and gathers around the stage, where you see a tall, darkly dressed man with a megaphone.
The man explains that his name is Sho Minamimoto, and that you have all been gathered in this school, Hope's Peak Academy, to play his game. He gives no reason why, or how, you all got here, but simply explains the rules of his game. Everyone will be given a mission on a daily basis. Participating in the game is mandatory, under the threat of death. Additionally, if no one completes the mission, than everyone shall be executed. Upon hearing this, a young man introducing himself as Stargaze steps forward, demanding to know where everyone is, why they're there, and refuses to participate in this game until he gets answers. Minamimoto simply laughs, steps on a tile on the floor, and watches as Stargaze's body is incinerated by the flame engulfing him from the floor.
Minamimoto then announces everyone's mission for the day: A scavenger hunt throughout the school. There are 4 items hidden in various rooms that must be found: a plain, orange cube, a 2-meter ruler, and a number 3. He turns around to leave via the curtain behind him, before turning around, to say one last thing. Sho announces that there is a way to end the game; murder someone 3 separate times, don't get caught, and you can leave. Sho then dissappears behind the curtain.
Everyone gets to the scavenger hunt, exploring the first floor. About 2 hours into the search, everyone hears Juliet screaming from the kitchen. You all eventually enter the kitchen, and find a badly burned body.

Everyone has 48 hours to send in your investigations. As a reminder, these two maps are the first floor:
The Yen room is the school store
The room below it is the entrance hall
The Stereo Room is the Media Room
The Monokuma room is the Trial Room Elevator
The two desk rooms are classrooms; Classroom A on top and B on bottom
The Box room is the Storage Room
The Trash room is the Incinerator
The Unlabeled rooms on the right are your dorms; pretend there are more than 16.
