"Cracked Reflection" Game 65(#2): Trial 2

While everyone was investigating they noticed something peculiar. Both Jun and Bootz have gone missing ever since everyone else had elft for the second floor, and are nowhere to be found, and do not appear to have participated in investigating.

((These two have been removed due to consecutive days of inactivity from the game))

On the intercoms, yet again there is a summon to go out to the yard on the first floor. The four remaining people- Monotaro , Hansbulla , Eden , and crystal , head down the first floor hallway out to the yard as the podiums rise from the ground yet again with a loud rumble. Hesitantly, each player of this morbid 'game' steps into their podium, the back of each one sealing up and closing them in. Now it was time to debate, and punish the person responsible for this mess.

Meanwhile, the deer bot is playfully prancing around each podium- still wearing Kazuichi's beanie.. and now Jun's glasses, and Bootz jacket. Sitting patiently in the middle as everyone pulls out their e-handbooks and they began displaying the basic information about the crime, as well as the poll- the little robot hummed before it was time for the trial to officially begin.


"Those who survive this trial will be able to progress to the last floor where you can meet with the person who operates this building, and you will be able to leave!"

Prison Trials

1. During a trial, you will all stand at a podium within a bullet proof glass container. Attempting to leave the podium will result in severe punishment. The front of the podium, facing towards the center, will not have glass.



2. You must present evidence you have found and use that as well as testimonies in the trial.



3.  After everyone has voted, the player(s) who received the most votes will be executed. In the event of a tie, all players with the highest vote count will be executed.



4. All survivors who make it to the final floor of the building will be able to leave, and have questions answered.

Maarku grimly looked at the others. He was still dizzy from his injuries.

"I guess I'll start with the results of my investigation. As I was already in the room, I investigated the Library. There was a bloody kitchen knife next to me, which was the murder weapon, scraps of paper on the floor, and a portrait near me was shattered. I can explain the paper later, but what I found about the portrait was interesting. The shards from breaking it went in the other side, because it was a secret entrance. The shards on the other side had some blood on them. There was a trapdoor with a tunnel that led in the direction of the Public Bath and Art Supply Room, but I was too dizzy to fully explore it. To note, there were also blood on ladder from the trapdoor," Maarku took a pause to breath, "I also investigated the Kitchen, which was undisturbed, except from a missing knife, which I assume was the one in the Library."

Tensing as he steadied himself from a headache, Maarku began to speak again.

"Since I was attacked, I'll tell you all my alibi. I left the cells at the same time Mikan and Crystal did. Mikan entered the Kitchen, while Crystal and I headed upstairs. Crystal went into the Art Room while I went to the Library. No one was there already, but Crystal entered later with scissors that were red. She took a book and cut it up, explaining the scraps I found. The deer visited, but I ignored it. Crystal left, and since I wasn't doing anything, I checked my handbook, and the time was 9:40 PM. Aqua entered at 9:50 PM. Soon after that, I heard glass shatter. My face was grabbed by the Blackened's right hand, and they overpowered me, knocking me out on the desk. Then, I woke up to find the body and you guys," he claimed.

Crossing his arms, Maarku prepared himself to accuse.

"The Blackened was not Aqua, as I saw him watching me get knocked out. He was probably killed because he saw the attacker. I believe the attacker was Mikan. She went to Kitchen first thing in the night, and it was undisturbed except for the knife being taken. Also, she was also the only one injured by cuts, which I assume were from the portrait being broken, then being covered up with the arcade machine. You're going to have a lot of explaining to do for this, Mikan," he said a sneer, before being hit by another wave of dizziness.

[Monotaro]

"W-Well, I-I suppose I can t-tell you what I did last night. I did enter the Kitchen last night, but it was very dim, and I had trouble seeing anything in the room. H-However, I don't believe anything was missing at that point in time. A-Afterwards, I made my way over to the Home Office."

"Th-Then I heard a loud bang, and I froze up in fear due to my asthma...I-I also heard a scream, a-and I was afraid I would be next, s-so I exited the Home Office and hurried over to the AV Room, b-but on my way over there, I was grabbed from behind by somebody's right hand as they threw me against the arcade machine."

"I-I'm so sorry I wasn't able to help you, Maarku, b-but I was so afraid...! I-I also investigated the AV Room, and I noticed that Shovel Knight made his way over to the Public Bath at around 9:37 PM. Later, at around 9:47 PM, Aqua made his way down the hallway to the Library, and he arrived at around 9:50 PM, as Maarku stated. Th-The loud scream came at around 9:56 PM, and Shovel Knight made his way over to the Library, and entered it at around 9:58 PM, wearing a robe, boots, and his helmet."

"There was also a smaller figure that appeared later in the footage, w-which I thought was me, b-but...I'm not entirely sure which path I took from the Home Office to the AV Room. Th-There were multiple paths, one of which didn't have any security cameras at all...C-Crystal, c-can you tell me what you did earlier in the night before you came across me?"

Edit: ((Currently, I suspect Crystal more than Eden. Although Shovel Knight may have had the opportunity to use the secret passage, he arrived at the scene very quickly, which wasn't really necessary for him to do if he were the culprit. However, I'm currently very suspicious about what Crystal did that night. I don't believe Maarku did this crime, given that his wounds weren't self-inflicted, so my vote will be going on Crystal.))"

Maarku stroked his chin in thought.

"Hey, Shovel Knight. I'm going to need you to do something for me. Take off that armor, now. no homo I just need to see if you got any wounds on you," he said.

"U-Um...well, th-that's entirely up to him to do...but Maarku, I have a question for you. I found an invitation to the library on Aqua's corpse. Why did you send him and the rest of us invitations to meet with you, again? I-I don't suspect you for doing so, but I'm curious..."

"Eh? I intended to bait the Blackened into a corner, assuming they were dumb enough to attack a group. Alas, no one wanted to show up besides Aqua... and he died. Well, as the deer said, 'It isn't a party with so few people.'"

[crystal]

"You think I would kill Aqua? Well your right. But it wasn't even Aqua I was going to kill. I was going to kill you Mikan."

She laughed at Mikan who looked really nervous

"I took scissors with red handles from in the art class and walked to the library to cut paper out of a encyclopedia to put the scissors into it. Then Maarku was there and the deer was talkign to him about why the scissors were red and I was going to attack him with the book spine but then decided not to hurt people and left to go all the way back to my room. So I was asleep before I came and searched where I found you.

She looked sad.

"And now you call me a killer so I should of just killed you after all."

She paused.

"Mikan, I searched the AV room and the broken arcade machine says "WARNING: Upon entering you will be recorded". If your telling the truth then why was there no footage of the arcade machine. Did you delete it since you were inside the AV room before me?"

Crystal scoffed at everyone.

"I also saw Aqua outside the cells with Aoi and RIna when I entered my cell. How did you not know I went to bed around that time if you checked the security tapes?"

[Hansbulla]

Maarku sadly shook his head at Mikan.

"Mikan, one more thing. Why was Crystal not on the cameras? Did she not leave the library a little before 9:40 PM? Kind of strange that you didn't see her on them. Also, how did you know you were grabbed by the attacker's right hand? The only reason I knew is because I turned in their direction," he said.

((Well, she probably didn't head back to her room at all, I'm guessing. Also, the AV Room has a motion camera that took a picture of me when I entered the room. And that footage was exactly what was reported to me by Bambi, so I honestly don't know what to say to Crystal's claim I deleted the footage, since she came into the AV Room right alongside me. I checked Aqua's body first before heading there, so that must be the case.

I knew the attacker grabbed me with their right hand because I didn't see my attacker from the glass from the arcade machine as I was getting slammed into it, and the arcade machine I was slammed into was to my left as I was heading for the AV Room.))

(So your allowed to lie and cheat because the 2 people who can give evidence are not in the game now? lol. That is a cheap decision, I went to my room and somehow to prove that we need 3 people searching a room)

"Well we know its a girl who did it because I searched the girls bathrooms on floor 2 and there was small reds splotches in the carpet on the way there and the sink had water and blood in it. But you all ready said that it wasn't Maarku. So it wasn't Shovel Knight either. And I already know your a nasty liar and you didn't say anything about the gunshot before the first glass smashing which is outside the library I think and the silence after it. Thats 9:47. But at 9:56 there's a louds scream and Shovel Knight leaves the public bath trying to open the library door so I know hes not in there. So theres nobody it could be but you. Lmao you should've just said Maarku's wounds could be self inflicted. Nice knowing you kid. I'm voting Mikan"

"B-But...I-I had an asthma attack once I heard the gunshot! A-Also, why would I use the girl's restroom, when I could have just used the incinerator in the Kitchen? I-I already knew where that was, s-so it doesn't make any sense for me not to use that..."

"H-However, Shovel Knight could also be the killer...p-provided he was able to enter the woman's restroom. I-I don't think any restrictions would have been placed on him if he entered it after killing Aqua, a-and if the secret passageway came from the Public Bath, he could have used that to be the first discoverer...i-it's also possible for him to have cuts, s-since he's wearing his armor right now..."

Suddenly, everyone's e-handbooks flicker.
Footage begins displaying on them. It appears to be from the entrance of the AV room.

Mikan is holding the door open, having just opened it, and enters. The camera is stationary and recording footage.

Crystal enters a few minutes after.
