You all enter a very well-kept board room. A man is sitting in the center chair, his hands clasped together, as if he is very deep in thought.
"Welcome, everyone. For those of you who are here, I'd like to talk about the current situation we have picked up on over at Hope's Peak...You see...the school has been...overrun...with despair. We believe someone in our own organization is the mastermind behind this...So we need to root them out from our own ranks and put an end to their plot before it destroys us from within!"
New System Concept:
Each player is a member of the Future Foundation. One of the people in the group is a traitor, and this traitor is the mastermind behind a current killing game going on at Hope's Peak. For the purposes of future clarity, we shall call this person the Puppetmaster. Now, everyone else is trying to figure out who this traitor is, and every time a trial is solved by the Future Foundation, more information pertaining to the Puppetmaster is revealed.
However, if the Future Foundation fails to catch a student, distrust will build into the group, and the Puppetmaster can turn someone else into a Traitor to help him in their plan. After being recruited, that person is now on the Puppetmaster's team.
The goal of the Future Foundation is to determine the identity of the Puppetmaster before or immediately following the fifth school killing (although they can be found out before that happens).
The goal of the Puppetmaster is to misdirect everyone while at the same time avoiding capture. The Puppetmaster can also win if he reveals himself and determines the Secret Head. The Secret Head has the capability of gathering intel on every member of the foundation to determine their loyalty. He can also discover if someone else is a Traitor or the Puppetmaster.
Traitors also only win if the Puppetmaster wins.
The Future Foundation only win if the Secret Head isn't caught and the Puppetmaster is determined.
There will be 4 stages to this system:
Recess Phase: This would be equivalent to the Daily Life sessions. During these phases, the Secret Head will send a PM to the host to investigate someone. The Puppetmaster will also pick a student to kill another on their behalf. Traitors can also mess with a person's investigation in the Analysis Phase. Traitors are permitted and even encouraged to speak with the Puppetmaster in this stage.
Analysis Phase: One of the students has killed another! You will use cameras as well as well-kept documentation provided by the host to "investigate".
Debate Phase: This is equivalent to the Trial Phases. You will all vote on which student you believe committed the crime.
Informal Discussion: This is a mixture of the Result and Trial phases, where you all discuss which person in your own ranks you believe could be the Puppetmaster. After picking someone, they will be processed and their loyalty will be determined. If a Traitor is discovered, information pointing to the Puppetmaster will be revealed. That Traitor isn't ultimately removed from the game, however. They are shackled and may still provide input in the game, however, they can no longer directly communicate with the Puppetmaster in the Recess Phase (Or at any point in the game, for that matter. It doesn't technically matter, though, since Traitors have effectively no more power in that phase).
Edit: After further consideration, the Traitors will most likely not exist in the final implementation of this system.
