Just to point this out Seadrias, the killer couldn't have jammed the door if they were trying to get out. Jamming it from the outside should be impossible too, since they can't block the door since it could be easily removed. The killer should've killed Emerald, then left. Emerald must've still been alive though, and tried to make her way to the door. This explains the blood on Emerald's hands and the door. And if she never made it out, then she would've died at the door, creating the object that blocks the door.
As for the notes, it is completely possible. River didn't have to have read the note to know about the tournament. After all, she was talking to Noklu about it. Other people should've known about that tournament, and from the note, it should've been a one on one duel between Noklu and River. Assuming that those notes were forged, it would mean that the murders weren't planned at all in advance. They would've all been on the spot, the exact opposite of what we were all thinking.
Also, I don't really think that the killer threw the knife in the first trial to kill the victim in the first trial. This is just conjecture, but throwing the knife would've more likely caused a wound that would puncture the head and brain right? It would suggest that the victim would die immediately. It wouldn't be just a simple cut to the head. That would suggest that the killer missed his target. A cut that's deep enough to make someone bleed out, I don't think that could be caused by throwing a knife without it getting lodged in the head, no matter what angle it was at. And even if it was lodged in, it would be assumed that they would immediately die, right?
I'm also not certain if we can properly conclude if the killer is proficient in hiding either. After all, more evidence was left at the crime scene open to the eye rather than hidden. It's also like Seadrias said. The hiding and finding proficiencies are so loosely defined that it's hard to determine if they are just proficient, or even capable. I believe that Yosuke should help us define what being "proficient" at something, or having a "specialty" means exactly if he is willing.
I'm not even sure if what I'm saying is making much of a difference anymore, but I at least want to let this stuff sink in and be discussed if possible. Food for thought I guess.
