The seven survivors of Heavenly Host found themselves returned to the precise location in which they initially performed the charm. A varying amount of time had passed, from all their perspectives, but there was one thing they all knew for certain: they were home.
The surviving students of Paulownia were anxious to see the reactions they would face from their classmates. Aiko and Inumaru received stern warnings about their continued absences (which for Aiko was a common sight, but Inumaru rarely got into trouble, and found himself quivering under the principal's booming voice. Kotonoha very much enjoyed comforting him), but the group was surprised to hear nothing about the disappearances of Sorin or the transfer students. Tsuda was speaking to a mutual friend when an anecdote about Sorin came up in the conversation.
"...And he screamed all the way home," he laughed. "That Sorin's mighty stuck up. It'd do him good to let loose a bit more, y'know?"
"...Sorin?" His classmate stared at him blankly. "I don't know any Sorin. Is that a nickname, or...?"
Kotonoha faced a similar experience in her own classroom. Two unfamiliar foreign students were sitting in Refrigerator and Zoe's seats, and when questioned, reacted only with confusion. They told her that someone must have fooled her - Refrigerator isn't the kind of name a person would have, and no Zoe was ever on the transfer program to begin with. So said her new classmates, Oven and Zack, anyway.
On the other side of the coin, Inumaru said that people in his class were still asking about Naho and Sayaka, and that their seats continued to stay empty as though everyone was expecting them to return. Aiko's theory, which said that those who died in the Nirvana had their existence replaced in the real world, was challenged by this development, and even now the truth of the matter remains very uncertain.
Levine Preparatory School fared far better. All three of the students who performed the Sachiko charm returned to their world without a hitch, and their lives continued much the same as they had before. It was Helena that first opened contact with their friends from Paulownia, and it was during these meetings with the other schools that the Levine students learned of the strange goings on at Paulownia. Noel was hesitant to discuss the Nirvana at first - but after being reminded of his apparent latent spiritual gift (and after a fair bit of courage from Helena), he assisted Aiko, Inumaru and Kotonoha in researching the Nirvana further.
Koyorin, meanwhile, changed the focus of her research after all the oddities she'd been through. Her aim was to prove or disprove the nature of the Nirvana, magic, and general occult nonsense through the use of science. It was through this research that she made contact with a skeptic named Sarai, who linked her to the original livestream that showcased Aiko and Inumaru's entrance into the Nirvana. Sarai explained that the two they went with - Yuta Gamon and Narusawa Ryoka - had not made any blog posts since their disappearance. He believed that they'd finally given up their work, but Koyori likened it to the memories of Naho and Sayaka remaining in the world.
A general consensus was reached that if someone was important enough to the Nirvana - whether that be by Naho's initial mass-sharing of it, or KiriKiriBasara's livestream, then perhaps their memory would continue to live on even after they had passed in the Nirvana's realm. It was still a working theory, with only tangential proof at best, but it was the most plausible thing they could think of at the time.
A few months later, Tsuda was sorting through old boxes in the back of his temple, when he was whacked squarely on the head by an old photo album. As he looked inside while rubbing the sore spot, he came upon a photo that in this world should have been impossible...
The End ?

The End ?
Thank you for seeing Mortis through to the end!
Kotonoha Nekomaru, Tsuda Nekomaru, Noel Levine, Helena Romero and Koyorin successfully survived the perils of Heavenly Host and returned to their world! Through that, they're considered the winners of the game! Congratulations!
The game has not reached its conclusion yet, however, as there are still several questions that remain unanswered.
If you haven't already, be sure to read the EX Chapters to get a deeper understanding of the game's plot! Furthermore, stay tuned for the release of EX Chapter 5! Who knows, perhaps through that things will be able to end on a lighter note..?
Regardless, thank you very much for playing, and goodnight!
