Then she notices Kotonoha smashing the statue. "That is a weird bloody statue. Is that the pillar thing? Think you do thisss-" She pours the acid into the statue. "To get rid of it? Something like that."

You don't find much of note in the areas you check, although you notice that you can't open the curtain on the stage. Bit weird, but not as weird as the giant statue in the middle of the room.

It takes only one motion for you to splash the acid onto it. It's probably the easiest thing you've done all day. In a flash, you hear the familiar fizzing that this substance makes whenever it comes into contact with flesh, and then an incredibly loud screech. It's like a kettle put to the boil screaming directly into your ear. The liquid travels from the small opening Kotonoha made to deeper inside the statue, spreading all around and causing steam to leak out of cracks here and there.

The sound it makes after is almost identical to a balloon popping.

The shell crumbles to the ground without any sort of structure left to support it. A dark green ashy substance coating the portions that once served as insides is the only reminder that anything was ever there at all.

The girl in the black dress laughs hysterically. She falls onto her back like a cartoon character. She beats her arm against the ground as if it's the funniest thing in the world. You hear her bones crack. You see them come out of her wrist, but she slots them right back in as if it were only a minor inconvenience and continues laughing.

Yoshikazu groans uncertainly. He doesn't even look out from his hands, which are still shielding his eyes from the girl's wrath.

Then, again, the ground shakes beneath your feet...

You lose your footing, and hopefully take the correct earthquake precautions. The fluorescent lights on the ceiling fall and smash, narrowly avoiding both you and Kotonoha. Yoshikazu's groans raise in volume and become screams in their own right. The entire world is shaking, twisting, warping before your very eyes...

And the girl in the black dress laughs all the while.

Koyori scoots along to try and check the hallway before the building collapses again. She examines the single doored classroom, double danger doors, and sealed door.

The classroom isn't accessible from this realm. The double doors are the ones that go to the gym. And the sealed door, for now at least, remains that way.

Kotonoha realizes the next thing to do is to demolish the jelly, but she has mixed feelings about doing so. She wanders around for awhile, eventually finding herself in the principal's office. There, she checks out some of the books. The portrait is creeping her out, so she'll also remove it and turn it to face the wall.

When the earthquake subsides, the layout of the school doesn't seem to have changed. Yoshikazu is still curled up in the corner, but the girl in the black dress seems to have vanished. A congregation of spirits, led by Yuki, enters the Gym, curious as to what could have caused the quake - although to be honest, they already have a pretty good idea.

"Teacher! What's wrong?!" Yuki gasps. She runs to comfort the shivering Yoshikazu. He responds with broken grunts, that not even she is able to make sense of. Ryo pokes the remains of the Pillar of Flesh. Yuki is furious.

"There's... There's only one left! No!! This can't be happening!" 

"Protect it," says the Book clutched close to her chest. "Fulfill your duty as Sachiko and protect the Nirvana."

"Yes... I have to..." She says robotically. Without another word, Yuki phases through one of the gym's walls, leaving her friends and teacher behind.

Behind the portrait, which from a closer inspection is titled "The Most Heavenly of Hosts", Kotonoha finds a safe embedded in the wall. She delays her plan to flip the portrait over, and instead takes a look at it. It looks to be waiting for a four digit code.

None of the books appear particularly relevant to the current situation, so she winds up just throwing them onto the floor.

After throwing the books around like a madwoman, Kotonoha sets her sights on the desk. She checks the documents, and the contents of the drawers.

The documents are dated around the early 1950s and are basic contracts and general documents about Heavenly Host's construction. The one most recently read is from 1975. It describes a plan to remodel Heavenly Host into a high school, and is marked as a top secret document. There is a spot for the principal's signature, but it hasn't yet been signed. While reading this, you bump into a fairly large pair of shoes underneath the desk.

Inside the drawers are what can only be described as the ramblings of a maniac. You find a journal filled front to back with the phrase, "She's watching me she's watching me she's watching me SHE ALWAYS WATCHES I CAN NEVER GET AWAY" and other variants of the same phrase.

The tiny pictureframe on the desk shows the principal in front of a newly constructed Heavenly Host. There is a younger boy at his waist, but his face has been cut off by the frame.

You feel nauseous just looking outside from this height. It's difficult to even see the ground what with the rain and wind beating down on you. The hole in the window is big enough for someone probably twice your size to have fit through.

Nothing happens.

Shortly after, Misuto enters the room. "The hell you bumming around in here for? Aiko found one of the last two pillars... What, you trying to get into the safe? Kumaing! hell, you're not gonna find any buried treasure, you know? Look, it's probably just the year the school was founded or something."
