Before Birdramon can fire off his final attack, Grand Dracumon plunges the spear into Birdramon’s heart. From the shore, Ebonwumon feels the pain of his brother’s dying gasps—a pain that fuels him. He plunges into the depths, wrenching Birdramon from Grand Dracumon’s clutches before the Beast’s power can be absorbed. His brothers having been so easily dispatched, Ebonwumon knows well that this is likely a lost cause, and yet he knows that he cannot give up. The fate of Ronpa depends on him.

But Ebonwumon is not alone. A magnificent creature dives into the water beside him: Nezaripped, Final God of Gains. From across the land, he had sensed the presence of a worthy adversary at last. With a swing of Night Terror, Nezaripped tears a wound into Grand Dracumon’s chest.

“Go now, dragon. Take what remains of your kin and leave. Ronpa still needs a protector.”
Ebonwumon pulls the bodies of Birdramon and Ollie to shore as the duel continues beneath the lake’s surface.
After what feels like hours, both Nezaripped and Grand Dracumon burst out from the water. Both are bloodied and appear exhausted. They land on opposite sides of the shore, taking the moments they need to catch their breath, before at once they leap towards one another, colliding in an explosion of light from which neither god emerges.

Viscera rains down from above the Chaosica Lake.

Tremors shake the capital, and a supernatural darkness rolls in from the north.
As the darkness envelopes the Kingdom, one person seems to rejoice in it.
Achlys Sable takes her seat upon the throne of Ronpa, declaring herself the ruler of the land. For several days, it seems this impermeable darkness shall never lift. But at last, Prince Casimir returns, guided by the glow of the Remington Excalibur-Action Rifle. After some negotiations, a deal is made: Achlys will dispel the Eternal Night, and Casimir will cede the north of Ronpa to her control. The territories of Cactus Land, Ligaton, and Crystalis would all be unified under the banner of North Ultima.
Although the spell of darkness is lifted, the tremors in the capital continue. Achlys and Casimir evacuate all citizens from the area just in time to see the capital city fall into a giant sinkhole, swallowed up by the water beneath the earth.

With the sinking of the Capitol and the resulting destruction of pretty much all the evidence against him, King Tyronius the Mad’s legacy was written by his son. Casimir did not hide behind his title or his birthright, and instead opted to present the evidence to the people, and let them decide. Most of the peasantry had no idea how Runes worked, or the deep international diplomacy that allowed their lands to be invaded, but still opted to take Casimir’s side in the end. Some claim his body is somehow still alive at the bottom of the Capitol Crater, feeding off the life energy of some dark god, but most agree that’s just superstition. Probably.

Casimir and Diana ascended to their new roles of King and Queen of New Ronpa, although it is said that they did not keep these titles for long. They worked tirelessly to elevate each region to equality and stability and instilled in their subjects the values of hard work and cooperation. They stepped down to live a quiet life in the country with their four sons, Avery, Kieran, Florian, and William, and daughter Boadicea. In this nation of New Ronpa no centralized government ruled the people: each citizen gave according to their abilities and received according to their needs. Any time someone did attempt to rise up and take advantage of the nation’s quaint and peaceful folk, the Remington Excalibur-Action Rifle would ward off these threats. When their children and grandchildren were grown, Casimir and Diana at last were laid to rest—and although they planned for modest burials, the inhabitants of New Ronpa constructed for them a grand mausoleum which they adorned with beautiful carvings and decorations. It became tradition to commemorate their shared death date by inventing and cooking strange recipes.

Ratsworth never forgave the Kingdom of Petrard. Although his peers convinced him not to resort to using the very same weapons that destroyed his beloved Ratasaki, Ratsworth could not be satisfied until Petrard had paid for what they had done. He took a group of his most loyal followers and sailed away from the Kingdom while it was still cloaked in darkness. He and his battalion infiltrated Petrard’s capital. Although the Petrardian King’s guard surrounded and outnumbered the rats, it is said that Ratsworth was victorious that day as he pressed the button to launch Petrard’s nuclear missiles aimed directly at their own capital. The rats died in a blazing glory, and ascended to Volehalla, where they lived in bliss until they reemerged centuries later until the warriors rose to fight again in Ratnarok. Ratsburgh itself returned back to their agrarian roots, deciding to dismantle their own bombs and dump those strange funny-feeling rocks directly into the Capitol Crater.

Belief was hard for Yoo Sangah. Having been at the epicenter of a religious war between Morvaug, and an economic siege with Petrard, Yoo struggled to reconcile the atrocities she and her people had endured. After the war and the dismantling of all governments, Yoo struck out on her own, travelling the world in search of a reason to keep going. For decades she journeyed, bouncing from land to land, always trying to help those in need. She became something of a legend, the “wandering healer," and was revered throughout the realm. After a long, exhausting journey, she returned home to her island, passing away peacefully whilst watching the tide ebb and flow against the sands.

Nezaripped finally met his match in his battle against Grand Dracumon. Those who saw him in his final moments say he died with a grin on his face. At the moment of his demise, Mount Mood erupted, killing hundreds and wounding many more. Many of his electrolytes continued to spread his values for many years to come, encouraging the citizens of Ronpa to get swole. Nessa left the former territory of Dormor, journeying north to the territory that was once known as Monstrome, where many orphans still lived. She cared for the disenfranchised children of the land, teaching them math and literacy, and encouraging them to add more protein and vitamins to their diets. Nessa worked alongside the former Chaos Councillors and the King and Queen to develop a new system of schooling for all the children of Ronpa. It is said she was single-handedly responsible for ending the epidemic of childhood diabetes in the region.

After being ushered out of the council chambers by her stepson, Vanyara knew that the king’s reign was over. She ordered the castle guards to keep the council of nobles confined while she made her escape. Although she intended to flee by herself, Balthazar Tyronius IV leapt onto her shoulder at the last minute. By the look in the creature’s eyes, Vanyara could tell that she had found a kindred soul. Without a word of notice to her sister, Vanyara penned a letter to be delivered to the capital declaring Ligaton to be under Deidre’s control from now on. Vanyara and Balthazar made their escape to islands in the west beyond Kalas. They came to a peaceful land populated by halflings living a quaint existence. Immediately, Vanyara and Balthazar recognized that this land was achieving far below its full potential. They industrialized the place, developing the once green, agrarian island into a global superpower far surpassing the might of other nations. The natives complained about the backbreaking work they were being “forced” into, but none could argue that Vanyara Eldsword had turned this primitive island into a truly prosperous nation.

Although Soy was elated to be reunited with his family, all was not well in the Milque home. G’Ontagnan had developed an obsession with money. He grew distant from his husband. As much as Soy tried, it seemed that g’Ontagnan had fallen into a deep depression since the other territories refused to do trade with the Morwhirl Pridelands due to g’Ontagnan’s miserly reputation. Even when Soy tried to remedy this problem with philanthropy, g’Ontagnan only grew more sullen as their wealth was depleted.

After realizing that g’Ontagnan would never love their family as much as he loved money, Soy had no choice but to take the kids and move back in with his brother, Almond, who was residing in former Ligaton territory with his wife, Brie.

G’Ontagnan took over the salmon farm, and he turned huge profits… but at what cost? His employees were overworked and underpaid. It wasn’t until one Saint Seiros’ Day’s Eve when g’Ontagnan was visited in the night by three monsters that he realized he had to change his ways. Moved by the visions they showed him of the past, present, and future, g'Ontagnan understood what he had to do. He gave ownership of the salmon farm to his employees and donated his remaining wealth to charities. He showed up the next morning at Almond’s doorstep, begging his husband to give him another chance. Soy Milque welcomed his estranged husband back into his life that day, and from then on the two of them lived a humble life of servitude. They died penniless, but happy.

Strawberry Milque was noted to have wed lifelong friend and occasional rival Avery Proudmoore. Though her fathers never bore any more children of their own, they were known to be the most doting grandparents in all the land.

Minutes before the Capitol sank deep below the waves, a familiar man strode into the Castle, claiming himself the rightful ruler of Ronpa. That man was none other than King Balthazar Tyronius III, or at least as it came to be known, a doppelganger of his. Shogun Zi Hao and Chancellor Impervious watched from the sidelines as their fake King stepped in and took over…Only for him to immediately die in the ensuing collapse of the castle and lands around it. Finding themselves out of options, they opted to pretend like that never happened, and to go back to the territory formerly known as the Magi Plains, where they lived a life of quiet solitude.

Although his scheme to submerge the capital region succeeded, Despot Jerrold III was not there to witness it. In fact, Jerrold had died a year before his plan ever came to fruition. His remains were found in his private study by a squire who had come to inform him of the sinking of Dangan. While no one was ever certain of his exact cause of death, the squire did note the manual on auto-erotic asphyxiation open on the table.

And when she had satiated her hunger and quenched her thirst, she once again found that she was not alone.

Clairmont had carefully engineered the Holy See’s new government, and it seemed all was going well… until the new King and Queen announced that any governing body would be dissolved, and that no person should be considered above any other. Clairmont rebelled against this ruling, arguing that this was the will of Blaiddyd, and that Casimir’s right to rule was owed entirely to the Church of Blaiddyd. Casimir reminded Clairmont that religion is the opiate of the masses, and so the church would no longer possess any authority. If Clairmont continued to argue any divine entitlement to rule, they would be exiled. Seeing no more place for themselves in the new nation of Ronpa, Clairmont cast off their robes and aligned themselves with Ronpa’s local ne’er-do-well band: the Enoshima Pirates. They successfully isolated the nation of Ronpa from all others by attacking any merchant ships coming or going. As the new nation had become self-sufficient, this was not catastrophic. Clairmont and the Enoshima Pirates persisted nonetheless, and spawned countless legends for centuries to come.

After rescuing, reuniting with, and marrying Shining Armor, Cadance largely disappeared from the public eye. Even when she made an appearance at the royal wedding of Casimir and Diana she opted to stay on the sidelines. It is thought that the magical relic she had discovered, with which she intended to take over the Kingdom, ended up lulling her into a hypnotic trance before she ever could get the chance to use it on anyone else.

Ollie lost his life in his battle with Birdramon. With his passing, neither Spoon nor Leng felt motivated to lead anymore. Their scheme of resurrecting a Great Old One to inflict terror across the land had backfired worse than anything they could have imagined. It was g’Oatman who convinced them to have heart. There were still plenty of orphaned children who needed the sanctuary that they had built. With Soy and Almond’s blessing, Oat continued to live with the other monsters for many years. The region became something of a school district within the New Ronpa: all the nation’s children spent their formative years there, being taught and raised by the teachers who cared for them. While the children with parents left for the summers to be with their families, those without never felt worse off, for the home they had in the Monstrome Schooling System was one of love, candy, acceptance, and gains.

When Oat grew up, he set off for unknown lands with his adopted nephews, Impmon and Chuumon, whom he still affectionately called by the nicknames he’d given them as a child.

The right half of Achlys Sable succeeded in consuming the Kingdom with a spell of Endless Night. With the threat of never allowing anyone in Ronpa to see the sun again, the new King and Queen were forced into negotiations. Like Achlys herself, the country was cut in half, with the former baroness being given control of the northern region. While New Ronpa took a more agrarian path, North Ultima developed into a country known globally for their skill with magic. For Achlys, this was all in pursuit of the goal of regrowing limbs. Though this feat was never accomplished within her lifetime, they did develop such advanced prosthetics that the wearer could move them just as they would their organic limbs. The burns that marred her left side led to many differing tales of how she got them.
