Year 10XY - Fall

I suppose it is apt that the end of King Tyronius’s reign began in Fall. Ronpa was at a turning point. The nation was fractured, barely held together by a throne uniting them all, a throne that looked weaker by the day. The Church, the Holy Beasts, Petrard, Morvaug, Kalas, every state had their goals, all which compounded on top of one another like a set of sticks and kindling. One spark, and it all would be set ablaze.

But who would light the match? Would they usher in a new era of peace and prosperity, or would our home become nothing more than a footnote in history, forgotten? I suppose it is not up to one, but for all to decide.

Make your choices wisely, there is much to attend to.

With the return of the King, taxation returns to normal! Each noble makes 500 Gold, with the exception of non-humans who earn instead 1000, while the Kingdom taxes 100 of their earned profits. Current Standings have been updated to reflect this (and remove Auction money).

As is custom, each alliance proposes one issue to the Council, with the King proposing one affecting the entire Kingdom.

Each Noble gets one vote per Issue, with the King and the Prince each getting 1 vote they are allowed to allocate to any 1 Issue of their choice.

Special Rule: Ratsburgh has the ability to completely remove any one choice from the options given.

Prismed Rim - Our New Neighbours

The territory of Pech is inhabited primarily by Morgan convicts who have been sent to our kingdom because Morvaug no longer wants to deal with them. Despite having a chance at a fresh start, many of Pech’s inhabitants have been causing chaos and destruction. A stop must be put to this mayhem at once.

VOTE - What should the kingdom do about the rowdy citizens of Pech?

A) If the territory of Pech is filled with criminals, the clear solution is to turn it into a penitentiary to house all our nation's ne’er-do-wells. We shall erect electrified, barbed-wire fences, surround the territory with guards, and convert it to an open-air prison.

(+1 Defiance / -1 Trade / +1 Authority / -3 Military)

B) Like it or not, these people are citizens of Ronpa, now. Surrounding territories will simply have to learn to live with them.

Provincia Smaragdina - False Idols

A woman going by the name Ikusaba has been seen performing miracles in the Union of the Holy See. She is an outsider unaffiliated with the church of Blaiddyd, and she claims to be a prophet of a new religion: Zetsubism. Witnesses say they saw her heal a woman’s broken arm with a single touch, cure an old man’s blindness… Whatever we might think, the peasants believe in her. More of them flock to her barn every day as rumours of her miracles spread.

VOTE - How can this blatant heresy be addressed?

A) The church should perform better miracles.

United States of Azulongmon - Nothing To Lose But Our Chains

Oh Ꚃhit! Someone has used the printing press to mass-produce copies of a pamphlet entitled ‘The Communist Manifesto.’ The pamphlet has been distributed nation-wide, but it is most concentrated where it originated in the Sugarvine Isles. The Sugarvine Isles are doing much the same as they always were, but in all other territories peasants and farmers are throwing down their tools and protesting in the streets. This is a disaster!

VOTE - What can be done about such mass insubordination?

A) Destroy it at its source. Annex Sugarvine to stop this harmful ideology from spreading further and show what any other territories who want to adopt this philosophy can expect.

B) Embrace this new way of life! Clearly it is the will of our fair Princess. Let workers seize the means of production, and nobles and royals serve as governors but live lives no more lavish than the common man.

Capitol - So Much To Do & So Little Time

The nation of Ronpa is torn. The interests of its inhabitants and its council members pull in many directions at once. Beneath the surface, tensions have been rising, and the time to act is now! Something must be done to restore the kingdom to its former glory at once.
[All four of these will have further effects beyond what are listed here to be determined based on RP]

VOTE - How shall the kingdom be restored?

A) What we need is a celebration to bring the alliances and territories of Ronpa together and to remind them why we united under one flag in the first place. Who better to lead us in this than the territories which have embraced unification most of all? The Morwhirl Pridelands will host a festival with help from the Magi Plains.

B) The first step to Ronpa’s return to glory is to put the current royals on trial! The King and Prince have both had their fitness to rule called into question, and both are under suspicion of criminal acts. We must decide if either of them should truly be allowed to govern at all, or whether they should share the blacksmith’s fate.

"If we all embrace it, and pick up the tools as one... Think of how happy the kingdom would be! Our strife, our burdens, shared together!"

The Council of Chaos is not present in the council room.

Spoone the Devil, Ollie the Goblin, and Leng the Cyclops evidently have business elsewhere.

Instead, a misshapen lump of beard and horn sits at Monstrome's seat. From a certain angle, one may interpret the mask's off-kilter visage to be that of a goat. His filthy fur robes are adorned with a small pin marking him as a guildmate belonging to the Tricker/Treaters, Monstrome's kobold-operated association of elusive travelling merchants.

The goat-boy kicks his legs idly and looks around the room. He bounces excitedly and waves to his Morwhegian neighbours.


"Hi, Soy! Hi, G'Ontagnan!"


He lifts his mask, revealing a young boy. Unkempt and overgrown black hair. Face streaked with sweat, stained with sweet syrups and pigment powders. Divots where a mask, long-worn, has squeezed against his temples. A great big smile, full of love and hope and innocence. A little taller, barely broader, but familiar all the same.

He fumbles with a crumpled nametag and wipes off some of the coloured powder and chocolate before showing it off to them.




"...G'Oatman! See? I did the little dot thing there like so it's like G'Ontagnan!"


He beams.

Oat reaches out to the Morwhirl Pridelands delegates, hoping to see his big brother and G'ontagnan...

...but, of course, Soy and G'ontagnan are nowhere to be found. Instead, today Almond is in attendance, wearing Strawberry in a sling on his chest. When the g'oatman lowers his mask, Almond's jaw drops. He's completely frozen in shock, but Strawberry giggles and reaches out her chubby baby hands towards her uncle. Almond is forced to move his frozen body in order to balance his niece, and that seems to wake him up.

"O...Oat? My god. It's... it's really you? It is! Oh my god!"

He bends down and pulls his youngest brother into as tight a hug as he can without smushing Strawberry in the middle. Muffled baby laughter can be heard from within the hug, as well as the soft sounds of Almond stifling his sobs.

Just then, a familiar voice comes from the doorway:

"...Almond, are you here...? I found that toy that Strawberry really wanted..."

Soy Milque stands at the entrance to the room, pale, thin, and holding a fluffy stuffed toy in the shape of Azulongmon.

THEY TURNED HIM INTO A MARKETABLE PLUSHIE

Soy stops short when he sees Oat, though, and the toy falls from his hands to the floor as he takes in a shuddering gasp.

[Peregrine]

Oat giggles as his brother hugs him tightly. He rubs Strawberry's head. As much fun as he's had with his fellow Tricker/Treaters, he really did miss his family.

He turns and waves as Soy finally enters the room. He clumsily slips down from his chair and runs over, arms outstretched. They wrap around Soy's waist.


"Soy! Did—did you know there are foods that aren't salmon? Like, um, jelly beans, and Kit-Kats, and Thin Mints, and um, and, um, it's amazing!"

Tears fill Soy's eyes, but he quickly blinks them away, not wanting to take his eyes off of Oat for a second.

Casimir's eyes well up with tears as he watches the heartwarming reunion unfold. He can't help but hold his wife close and think of their son, and the pain he'd feel if Avery were to be taken from them.

He wipes the tears from his face, regaining his princely composure.

"You know that whether I am prince, king, or pauper, my life will be just as rich so long as I have you to share it with."

"But alas, we must guide the country to these ideals before we can relinquish the throne. If we were to surrender it now, the kingdom would descend into chaos. We must first establish a just system in which all are equal and no one can greedily hoard wealth, land, or power."

"I have grown stronger so that I may lead us on this path. Only once all the citizens of Ronpa are free to pursue whatever hobbies they so choose, regardless of the circumstances of their birth, shall we be able to retire to a quiet life in the countryside. I have faith that that day will soon be upon us, my love."

*Zi hao stands before the court, chained up, like a fugitive. A crime? No, just a simple protest. Below, on his body, is a board saying "To assault the land is to be banished!" Dramatic, but noticeable. There is one whisper under his breath.*

"Tanaka-dono, I hope you know what you are doing."

[Evie The Bat]

Suddenly Ratsworth stands and clears his throat.

“Attention everyone. I have some news from the Giant Rat. I thought him to be lost during Ratisaki but he had been located. He has been looking over the proposed solutions to these problems and has decided on which option is a detriment to our home.”

A giant rat stomps his way in and sits in the center of the room

“I’m da Giant Rat Dat Makes All Of Da Rules. I have watched and learned and listened, and won’t make us all fools.
da harsh king, da clueless prince, are flawed but not evil. Dey only wished to keep us all safe and with a smile-vul
I declare as da one dat makes all of da rules, option 4B to be banished and forgotten. A worthless trial is too risky and unnecessary to be a good option.
With dat being said, I have one humble request. Let us erase Petrard from existence and put an end to der unforgivable conquest.”

Vanyara clicks her tongue. Her sister isn't here and nor is the man who never quite introduced himself from last session. She's allowed a moment of quiet to let Soy and Oat reunite and then this rat ruined all her plans?

Well, no matter. More important than the trial was stopping the counter attack. "Petrard is a nation made of crooks, civilians, and military just like ours. If our nation was sent a sizable in this war would you call it justified? The thousands upon thousands of deaths caused by the strike? No. War should remain an assault on the armies not on the people. You're cruel to suggest such things."

"I will do everything in my power to stop you from creating a bomb big enough to destroy an entire people." She turns to Zi Hao and Impervious. "I know I ask a lot of you, but would you be able to help stop this? Your territory is closest, putting you in an advantageous position. I will aid however I can--send weapons, food, or whatever else you may need."

I do not believe destroying there capitol is the right course now, but I can’t let the people of Ratisaki die for nothing. And those who are concerned about ill effects on my people…I’ve been careful about where we test these weapons. If anyone is to be effected by it…I should be the main brunt of the negatives”
