Clairmont will just, assume that they're going to get verbally assaulted and ignore whatever Karen responds with

For a moment, Clairmont catches their breath, and mumbles something under it

"I will never understand why Clairmont VI did that..."

"In any case, the resulting mud-slinging between nobles would have helped no one. Perhaps you were not clued in, but the United States of Azulongmon was not as united as one might have first guessed. Things only succeeded because of Azulongmon's sheer hegemony."

"Lastly, my place is to spread the word of Blaiddyd. I scarcely want to participate in Ronpan geopolitics. Alas, I have an obligation to do so. As a Pope Clairmont, it is my duty. As such, I shall, to the best of my ability. Blaiddyd selected me, after all."

In a time of a particularly cold winter, do you not think that they would assume a guarded envoy into their territory, headed by the leader of the army which they so often fight with, would not take that as a peaceful trade mission, but perhaps a declaration of war, or in the very least, raids over supplies?"

"Even if that weren't an issue, is Baroness Achlys really prepared to make amends with the frost giants after everything that has happened? Especially if she plans to extend an olive branch to us as Provincia Smaragdina in these trying times, isn't there the risk that you're running her too thin?"

"These ideas are used all the time. Magic is all around us. There is not but a drop of shame in using magic. On the contrary, Blaiddyd created a world full of it, and yet, we are suppose to not use that for risk of, what exactly?"

"All of that to say, if we were to use magic to help those around us, and those most in need, Blaiddyd will surely look fondly upon us."

The Baroness has to keep her jaw from dropping to the floor. Why, now, should the Pope suddenly be involved with the affairs of North Ultima? And after citing the people as North Ultima as the reason for their sudden change of alliance, no less! 

Well, this is no time to allow personal feelings to overcome diplomacy, no matter how unjust it may feel to take the blame for the hypothetical factionalism and infighting that would have occurred. Achlys swallows her pride and addresses the Pope. It would hardly do to make an enemy of them. After all, even the church of Blaiddydism is better than playing around with magic. 

"Pope Clairmont, I thank you very much for your offer to help North Ultima. I must admit, making amends with the frost giants would be a challenge given the current state of North Ultima. While I believe it to be the best option, I do not think it is the ideal option."

"If the church could provide us a better choice, I am willing to listen. I know that you can give hope to my people, and peace to those whose families have succumbed to frostbite. But I doubt that you can end this brutal winter. No one can. All we can do is survive."

"It seems that we will end up sending military forces to you, whether we have the resources or not. At least those troops won't die of hypothermia. If you could return the favour, 'get involved' as you say, it would not be unwelcome at all."

Yoo Sangah who has seemed to be missing always spoke up admist the debate, she is now spotting a black dress and her demeanour seems to have changed ever slightly

"So, I see that the Prince decided to be a deserter of the Faith, how apt of him. May Blaiddyd find him and make him repent, and only the Samsara Cycle for him would be able to give him Peace."

She then takes a seat and looks around

"Now, lets see what we are supposed to be discussing. Hmmm...."

She scans through the issues and vote and then looks up.

"My take is simple...but let me break it down. For Prismed Rim,or for anyone....not placing faith in Blaiddyd, would mean that there is a sin hidden deep within themselves and not committing to their so call duties. Since I believe, placing anyone in a jail would not bring any good, why don't we just get Dormor to pay us what is owed. Sounds good no? If he doesn't pay then we can place him in prison. "

She pauses and then continues.

"Now for Provincia, personally, I believe rebuilding what is lost should be utmost priority, because, what is a little clearing of road would do, if the people are suffering and not able to fend for themselves....right? The last two options is not negotiable because, Church can only go so far and asking Ronpa Plains to settle it doesn't seem to be good either."

"Now as for USA's Blizzard issue, it is simple. since it's considered as otherworldly, then we shall settle it with a Magical Solution. Simple as that. However, asking for trade with the Giants could also improve the survival skills of the people and the crops."


"As for the Capital, I'm torn between executing the man and having a public mock execution. While executing him, would mean that, he is in the wrong or we may have punished the wrong man.  As for the mock execution, and then exiling him, would mean that he still gets to live, which is every life is important."

He hugs his beloved and takes out two blankets from their bag.

“Papas…”

Soy smiles and a tear of joy rolls down his cheek.

He approaches the two babymons and kneels down as best he can.

“Dragon Lord Chicomon, Phoenix Lord Puwamon, I wasn’t just sitting around doing nothing while my husband practiced crocheting! Now that I have access to a kitchen, which I didn’t have on my raft, I’ve gotten into baking!”

He presents each digimon with a cupcake. Chicomon’s is vanilla with light blue frosting and edible pearl sprinkles, while Puwamon’s is chocolate with orange frosting and chocolate sprinkles.

“You’ve already grown up so much… I hope you know that your other Papa and I will always love you just as much as our biological child. You’re all our babies, even if you two grow so fast~!”

The Babies munch on the cupcakes with the ferociousness of a puppy that's being fed for the first time. Their faces probably wind up covered in more sugar and sprinkles than are currently in their tummies. They look happy, though.


"Whoa... my tummy feels... really weird..."


"It's like we can feel all the love you put into them, puwa! It's making me want to... It's making me want to...!"

"That won't do anything. Put your vote where it matters, Your Kingliness. Give him a fake execution for a wee authority boost, then throw him up north and let those giants decide what to do with him. No skln off your back."

So many strange new voices in the Council Chamber. King Tyronius really needs to start auditing who comes in here.




"If it were up to me, I'd have him hanged for all to see. Such an act of treason deserves no quarter. The secrets that he could know he could give to our adversaries. Such Runesmithing could be a powerful tool in the giants' arsenal should Ryoma decide to defect."

Ryoma protests, stating that his heart and soul belong to Ronpa. Still, that is exactly what you'd say in front of your king, right?

Soy gives them a little applause. It's very different than having Azulongmon around, but these two little ones are doing their best to fill the big dragon-shaped hole in Soy's heart.
