Mabel after calming down began speaking

"After everyone left, the only people left were Ethel, Elinor and Jane...in the Dining Hall. Elinor left the two ladies and headed to the food and while picking up food, she looked unsteady and I rushed over ...whoosh! To her side like the Knightness in shining armor! Y'know we shouldn't waste food too! After that Ethel took something off from Jane and we all disbanded.

Then I head to the Storage Room...tried opening it...cause....cause it opened! I tell ya, my Mabel Pines magic did the work! I grab the ingredients for my Mabel Juice! Wanna know what's in there well have a Taste!"

Mabel then shook her Mabel Juice around

" I rushed into the Kitchen and made the perfect Mabel Juice! When I tasted it needed some wham! And noticing Jane was there, in the corner with a bottle of wine, I snatched it and poured it into the juice! Kyle saw me and said something about not being kosher what ever that means...and he and Jane left. After that Dipper entered! We played around like we were back in Mystery Falls and Elinor appeared too! With some doggo! I ran up to Elinor and gave her the best Mabel hugging!"

" After that I head into the Dining Hall and Kyle was there...ugh...he but challenge me to a game of tag, man it was fun running around the table until I trip and hit my head on the fireplace!We both discover some secret code by the fireplace and we both solve it!"

" I then head up to Elinor's room and it was messy, worst than Dippers side of the room! Then a pillow hit my face and turns out it was Dio, we got into a pillow fight and we'll feathers all fell around the room."

" After the back to back excitement I head to the Library to relax, picking my favourite book the Lion's adventure, reading it and after calming I left the Library to look for Elinor! I spoke with her and showed her the book and we both read it all since she say it was her favourite too."

Mabel spins around a little and giggle.

" Then I return to the Grand Hall, I actually saw Kenneth walking around and he seemed, not like he was not well. Turkey and I approach him and told him to head upstairs to the bedroom and rest...we...we didn't know it would be like that! After that, I went to the Conservatory and too take in the flowers and all, halfway through the smell of urine hits my nose and I ran out of there."

Mabel is now in tears again.

" Well I return to the Dining Hall to sit down...and we know the rest. I-If I didn't ask Kenneth to go upstairs maybe he would not...and Dipper...he, I...."

She choked on her tears

Looking over the books in the library, Ethel decides that this would be a great teachable moment for Jane, who really needs to work on her history knowledge.

Meanwhile, Jane has finished up with the crime scene and wandered back into the grand hall just in time to hear Mabel's alibi.

"I'll try the Mabel Juice!"

She reaches for the juice to take a big swig. 

Ethel comes in just in time to see this, and immediately forgets what she came in for. 

"Hey, isn't that the foul substance that was all over the kitchen? No ... Surely it can't be the same liquid."

She leans in to smell it, trying to see if it's the same thing that was found on the kitchen floor ... and in the crime scene.

It's unmissable. It certainly is. However, it's not quite the same.

What Mabel has is far less disgusting. And it's a lighter colour. Noticeably lighter and less pungent than what's in the Guest Room East, and starkly lighter and nicer smelling (?) then what's in the Kitchen.

To her credit, Jane manages to swallow a great big gulp of Mabel Juice without choking. Her gagging sounds and facial expressions tell Mabel all she needs to know, though. 

"What is in this? Is that ... glitter?"

Before Mabel can answer, Jane is whisked away by Ethel, who has regained her composure after smelling the juice. 

"Jane, you have a new assignment. You need to study the birth and death dates of all of your ancestors on the Penvellyn side between the years of 1500 and 1900 AD."

Jane moans and sighs and throws a little tantrum complete with kicking the wooden doors of the library. However, Ethel stands there menacingly until Jane gives up, takes her little notebook, and sheepishly walks around the grand hall, taking notes at each plaque on the wall.

Jane is too busy spluttering to give a direct answer, but she smiles weakly and tries to give Mabel a thumbs-up. 

Ethel, however, corners Mabel for more information. 

"Sparkling stuff? Is that right? What exactly was this 'sparkling stuff'?"

"I insist that you tell me what you've just fed to my star pupil."

(Jane is also her only pupil.)

After some time passes, Jane comes back with a very incoherently-scrawled list written in an almost-dried-out bright pink pen that is very difficult to read against the white sheet of paper. 

Upon seeing this, Ethel sighs, but doesn't complain about it. You get the sense that this is a battle she has fought and lost too many times already. 

Having finished her research, Ethel brings Jane to the library and explains the puzzle to her. Thankfully, Jane is smarter than she looks, and picks up the idea of the puzzle fairly quickly. She pulls the books in the following order:

After pushing the giant stone door, you're met with... well, the scent of gunpowder, for one. But also, what appears to be a safe house. A brief investigation of the location revealed sleeping supplies, food, water, and even radio-communication equipment.

But that's not what's important here. There's also a mortar set up in the middle of the room. And attached to it, is a timer. There are also several armour-piercing rounds laying around, and a used cartridge inside the mortar.

Upon looking up, the hole into the Dining Hall is there. This is certainly where Kyle was blasted from.

“Well, it seems that whoever set this up was someone who knew how to get into these passages.”

She whirls around and turns on Karen.

“There’s only one person who I saw in the tunnels tonight. Want to share exactly what you were doing there? And where were you at the end of the night, when Kenneth and Dipper went missing?”

Karen narrows her eyes. "I already explained my entire alibi. But since you seem even more incapable of listening than someone who literally cannot hear, I will refresh your memory. When Kenneth and Dipper went missing, I assume that would have been around [A5], when I was with Luigi and Gwodboy in the Kitchen. Luigi has also stated his alibi, in which he mentioned my presence.

"And as for the tunnels, didn't I see you down there, too? Why were you down there [at the start of A5] glaring at me and Kyle?"
