Through the previously padlocked door is a tiny landing. A staircase extends up to your left, and directly in front of you is a second Grey door, completely identical to the last. Whether or not they go to the same place, who can say? None of you went through the last one, after all.
The group ascends the staircase, lit by candles attached to the wall, with a renewed sense of curiosity and vigor. It would seem the Mass Allying Incident created a certain sense of camaraderie between you all. Well, most of you. Voivode sticks to the back of the pack like a goth kid in gym class.
There's less uncertainty among the group now. The Library's surprises seem a little less surprising with every passing moment. You've already been through doors that seem to transport you to other worlds. You've met Demi and Semi, and you've played the AB Game. What else could this place possibly have in store for you?
Another door awaits you at the top of the staircase. This one isn't locked, so you all head on through into the second floor. Another open area greets you, baring some vague similarities to the first floor's hub, although this is far less enclosed. You're not surrounded by bookshelves acting as walls, for one. It's more like an actual library in layout - you can walk between the shelves, pick up books... Do you need me to describe a library to you? You don't feel trapped anymore, is what I'm trying to say.
In the centre of the second floor - and directly in front of you, for that matter - is an area filled with all different colours of beanbags. They encircle a marble statue of a large and muscular bearded man. The carpet of this floor is green, patterned with various artistic circles (which sends a small shiver up the spine of those who went through the Yellow door. But it passes - these ones don't seem dangerous, or even like they work for that matter).
You also see a corkboard hung up on the side of one of the bookshelves.
It seems a total of three paths branch out from this central area. You're also free to return down to the first floor, should you so desire.
