Needless to say, Akane was startled at someone else using that specific name for her. It only made sense, after a bit of thought - Junpei hadn't called her anything else for the entire time they'd been there. Though that was the case, she felt she should clear up these misunderstandings before they got out of hand.
"I'm Akane Kurashiki. It's nice to meet you, all things considered."
"And you're Vi, hmm? Are you familiar with Roman numerals? If you look at your name through that lens, you can read it as the number six... Quite a lovely number, don't you think? You know, I'd go so far as to even call it my lucky number. I've got a pretty big history as far as the number six is concerned, you know? I mean, aside from the obvious, did you know Junpei's name has six letters in it? The world is full of strange coincidences like that. But at a certain point, you have to wonder if they're really coincidences after all. I mean, isn't it odd that so many things can come together perfectly to create the world we see before us?"
"If the world we lived in were a world of fiction, someone would have to call it unrealistic what with all the coincidences that happen, all the time. My meeting with Jumpy here, for example. From a certain point of view, you could call that a coincidence. But if you look at it from the perspective of, say, someone reading a novel - wouldn't that really take you out of the world? It would leave you thinking something along the lines of, 'There's no way that would happen in real life!'"
"But the truth is, things like that happen every day - sometimes without people even acknowledging how much of a coincidence the things they see and hear in their daily lives even are! Don't you think that's interesting, Vi?"
