You’re awoken by the sound of creaking metal. As you open your eyes, it seems as though you are in some sort of makeshift bed, but it’s by no means luxurious, and feels more akin to a table with a bed sheet on it, rather than a bed made for sleeping. Where the hell are you? This doesn’t feel like a hospital, nor does it feel like a place for palliative care.
As you begin to get up, you look around and notice a lot of other people in beds, all to varying degrees of ailment or strength. You go to stand up, but as soon as your feet touch the ground, an electric shock goes through your body. Although you hadn’t noticed it before, you could sure as hell feel it now. Everything hurts, all the way from your toes to the hairs on the top of your head. It would be so easy to go back to sleep, but something tells you that falling back asleep might mean never waking back up. You know, instinctively, you must remain awake, and endure the pain. Perhaps others will wake up soon enough.

The structure of this will be... sort of line a main game?, but without much downtime. There will not be nightlies. There will not be actions either. This will be a continuous onslaught of trials, in which you are expected to solve rapid fire murders under an entirely evidence-based system. This has been inspired by a lot of media I am a fan of, which I’m sure will make itself quite clear. The most obvious though, will be Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, Danganronpa, and Umineko When They Cry (Although I’m still reading this one, so please avoid spoilers wherever possible). I’ll be borrowing the Bracelet mechanic from ZE, the Truth Bullet system from Danganronpa, and the Red Text system from Umineko. I will try my best to keep this game largely spoiler free, so if you have not yet played those games, you do not yet need to worry about getting spoiled, at least from me.
Just for some ground rules and expectations. You must sign up to participate. Drop-ins are not allowed. Players are strictly forbidden from using Red Text or Purple Text (unless they are quoting it), as this may lead to confusion and uncertainty. All characters must be humans too. So no vampires, elves or creatures of non-human settings. Additionally, there may or may not be a plot, that depends entirely on how burnt out I get. We’ll see. Everything will be done on forums, not Discord, as I expect this will give newer players a good chance to get a feel for how Proboards works.
Although I can probably do this alone, if someone is interested in co-hosting, that would be appreciated.

I can't believe I have to say this but, the bracelet number, n must be apart of the set of all natural numbers. n ∈ N, where 0 is also a natural number. The exception to this is Toasty, who is responsible for this ruling.
UPDATE: This is no longer true! The delightful Crazynuto offered to cohost with me, meaning that the player count can comfortably go to 18.
It should be noted that players are not allowed to have placeholders. If you are unable to sign up at this moment, I will place one for you, which will expire after 24 hours. If you are unsure of the character you want to play, please, talk to me, we'll figure something out. You are also, allowed to edit your sign ups at infinitum until the sign up phase ends, so if you are unsure, just get something, anything out, and refine it until you're happy.
