Richie picks up the red shroom and takes note of the half-message under the bed. He pokes his head into the Library and sees that Kez and Yosh aren't there yet, so he wonders if he can make a slight detour to further their gameplan.

He goes over to their sleeping quarters, wherever that may be, and pops over to Frank's spot. As far as he is aware, Frank has both the yellow shard and Shy Guy's Diary, so he could be a valuable ally. "Hey, Frank. We're making our grande escape from this timeline, but we need your help! Will you lend us a hand?" At this time, Richie holds out a hand to the Fire Bro. Whether Frank likes it or not, he gets pulled straight to the Library for the plot adventures.

"And, uh, if you happened to pick up Shy Guy's Journal last night, can we read it together? The Princess really wanted it, so it might have some valuable clues inside." May or may not be peeking at his belongings.

Richie drags Frank to the Library (tossing the gemless crown at some patrolling Shroobs so they go away) and examines Shy Guy's Journal. Inside you have several sections to choose from: (How nice of him to write a table of contents in his own Journal!)

Keziah draws in a desperate breath as though from the brink of drowning. As feeling returns to her body, she is aware of Yoshi's frantic movements as he nudges her with his snout, paws at her clothing, licks her face, and whimpers. In a swift motion she tosses herself onto him, wrapping her arms around his body and clutching the fur of his back. She lets out hoarse murmurs of apology as her shivering subsides.


"...and for Pete's sake, don't eat that damn mushroom..."


After a long while, Keziah stands up and gives her dog one last pat on the head. He did a real good job today. The two begin the short trek back to the Library, Keziah resuming her well-practiced scowl just in time to enter.

Richie starts off on Indecipherable Messages because that's what he's most familiar with seeing in this castle. (Though he wouldn't mind if all parts were batch posted for convenience).

When Kez and Yosh bust in, he waves hello. "Welcome back! Frank's here to help now, and I found those things in the bedroom." He points to the red shroom and message he scribbled down, then dips his nose back into the journal.

A twinge of relief passes through Keziah. Though, if she's honest, three mushrooms and a rhyming couplet are not her usual metric for success. She nonetheless places her (somewhat slobbery) pair of mushrooms with Richie's. Taking his note and placing it on the ground, she sits down and writes in Yoshi's part next to it.

Three to find, just one remains.
Find the pink, it'll be Shroob's banes
Pink as the sky look up, not beneaths
225 degrees and rotate 12/fifteenths.

As she writes, she half-hollers over to Richie.


"Don't let me stop ya, but I think we're onto somethin' here. Yoshi got a nibble of this yellow mushroom and started seein' somethin' in that Time Portal. I don't much care for my dog doin' drugs or goin' too close to Time Portals, but if this is what it takes to find the last Star Shard, I think you can figure out the rest. I'm gonna take these darker mushrooms and see if I can make some magic with the telescope."


With that, she and Yoshi take the two red mushrooms and make their way to the Observatory.

Kokichi makes this sound:

He's in far too much pain to come up with any lies, but for the sake of his loyal fans (none) it would be something like, "I haven't seen my own bone since the time I did surgery on myself while on tour in Vietnam."

Byakuya runs in from somewhere and sees his weird little friend lying on the floor in agony. To his surprise, he realizes that he is experiencing a tiny sliver of affection for the little purple freak, after all they’ve been through together (the circumcision incident).

“Kokichi!” he screams, and kneels down next to him, but doesn’t touch him because, you know, he’s poor. “Don’t die on me, Kokichi! As soon as we get out of here, I will commit the greatest case of insurance fraud the world has ever seen to get you on my Ultra-Rich Top-Level Private Health Insurance so you can get this leg fixed! My insurance is so good, when I get sick, the hospital pays me!”

As someone worth less than nobody Nagito comes out of his crevice and does as told and goes to get some duct tape. When he returns, he kneels down infront of kokichis mangled body. Instead of applying the duct tape however, he decides to take advantage of the situation and starts to suck on one of the toes on his broken leg, since he’s probably not able to move it and wouldn’t be able to stop him. ~slurp~

Nagito continues slurping, in almost animalistic, primal way. His instincts just take over and he does what he did to the architect, and starts to bite the toes off kokichis foot, taking the bloody nuggets into his mouth.

And then he passes out from pain and blood loss.

Nagito comes to his senses. Toes in mouth. He grabs the duct tape and puts it over kokichis mouth because he’s annoying. And then goes back to suckling the toes in his mouth and rubbing the nubs where the toes used to be. Hell yeah.

"Seeing something in the time portal with this, huh?" Richie hands the journal back to Frank for a moment to look at the yellow mushroom in his hand. Curious about what Yoshi could have seen with this, he takes a nibble and dips his head into the Library's portal again to check if anything has changed as a result.
