"I figured it out!" Peashooter says.
"There is a bit of coincidence involved but I know how Peanut killed our captain!
A1: He collects green yarn. How? Angering me of course to shoot my peas at him.
A2: He goes under the ship and sets off the explosion. Here he also collects the purple yarn for use later or to distract the sharks now. This is important because he and Cody are the only ones with a chance to set up the gunpowder.
A3: Is as he claims. He goes to the treasure, steals some brown yarn and makes a shovel. Perhaps he also takes some green yarn that the Yarn Ball just doesn't notice.
A4: Also as he claims, he's attacked but of course a monster like him could easily take the yarn ball but his plans work fine with him going into the ocean. Or maybe he didn't and losing the fight is what angers him.
A5: He swims away from the sharks and then uses the purple flag yarn to make a rope to get onto the ship before dropping it into the water for the sharks to eat and him to sneak on board without being noticed.
A6: He wraps the captain up in green yarn, making him unable to move, and drowns him in the coconut milk. A terrible fate as the coconut milk won't let him pass out. He then tosses the barrel overboard, maybe going as well.
This comes from a few things: The murderer has to have access to green yarn. Literally only two of us have access to green yarn throughout the night without damaging ourselves--Yarn Ball and Peanut.
Also the murderer has to have a chance to set gunpowder. Only Cody and Peanut could do this.
Third they have to be near the boat or ocean A5 and/or A6. Four fit this. Cody, Catnip, Peanut, and Betterfly.
Two coincidences is one thing. Three? Not a chance."
