Chapter 3: Daily 1

[Izumiko (Emi)]

As you all finish discussing the makeshift trial the was unexpectedly set up for you by the memories of the mansion, you feel the godly presence from before fade. The pressure elevates and you feel like you can breathe freely again.


"It would seem that the distortions have faded for now. Shall we go back inside while it's still peaceful?"


"Oh right! Mari forgot! Mari was supposed to help prepare breakfast for you all..."


"Oh but we spent so much time standing out here... It's definitely too late for breakfast now..."


"We can think about food later, Mari. For now... Let's go back inside and make sure everything is back to normal."

Ren and Mari usher you all back inside, away from the gazing eyes of demonic monsters outside and the fading shadow of the guard who was previously watching over the gates.

"Welcome back my dear guests and participants."

You hear a female voice speak. The voice resonates throughout the Entrance hall

"I see you have chosen to act upon the distortions of time that poison my home. Worry not, for I shall reward thee for your efforts in due time."

You feel another wave of magic and the faint rumbling sound of something moving. It seems to have come from above. Then a transparent, spirit like form of The Witch appears seemingly out of the thin air to greet you. Her entire existence seems to flicker faintly.


"You have done well. All of you. For now, you may rest your heads and spent your free time as you will. The slower we go, the more time I shall get to recover and assist you in your endeavors... Doesn't that sound wonderful?"

Daily 1 Information

- The map has been updated with a new floor. You may walk around, enter and RP in any room but you may find yourself bumping into barriers and locked doors.
- Blackened Applications are now open! Apply at will!
- This daily lasts 24-48 hours

- Mari is in the kitchen, seemingly pondering over a list of something or another
- Ren dutifully walks around the two lowest floors, keeping an eye on as many of you as he can. He can be called for assistance or just a simple chat.
- A faint, magical projection of The Witch greets you all at the Entrance Hall. She stays there for as long as she can allow her weakened self to.

[Ktoasty]

Yoshida is in an exploring mood at the moment and goes up to see what's in the Greenhouse.

Suddenly, Excel detects the smell of a mystery... He will head up to the Master Bedroom to investigate.

[Izumiko (Emi)]

Ktoasty and mao immediately decide to leave everyone behind and have the first look at the newly unlocked floor.

Excel zooms right past the entire train of rooms, attempting to get to the Master Bedroom... only to be pushed back by some kind of force field barrier. Of course it wouldn't be that easy! He is now stuck in the hallway between the Balcony, Armory and the Master Bedroom.
Downstairs back at the entrance, some people see The Witch smile ever so slightly in amusement over something or another.

Yoshida has more luck exploring the Greenhouse, where he finds a wide arrangement of plant life. Some native to Tea Plains, most native to Twilight Vale. The ones from Tea Plains are something you would define as "normal". Those include flowerpots, herbs, saplings and so on.
The ones from Twilight Vale look more bizzare and specialized. They seem to be enchanted with elemental properties. With some being moving plants emanating ice elemental energy and their lava-like counterpart is sitting right beside. There is also a giant Venus Flytrap emanating some kind of shadowy, fog like substance from its mouth in very small amounts at a time.

Hmm, it seems that there's some sort of mechanics blocking entry to the Master Bedroom... Either the Witch doesn't want them to go there just yet, or this is some kind of a test to see if they are "worthy" of entering her private quarters.

Excel will scan the Hallway for clues and then move to the Balcony to investigate.

[Ktoasty]

Yoshida moves on to the Aquarium and carefully looks through the room.

[Kuroneko]

Kuruguru spends a while to record the results of the trial in her notebook. She then heads off to the storage to see what might be sitting around and whether she can fix her camera.

[Magnus]

Muninn waited in the Entrance Hall, and turned towards the Witch’s projection to ask a few questions.

"So the partygoers were shadows of the past, right? What happened to the housekeeper, Miss Elodie?”

[Misaki]

*Satorae was greeted by the projection of the Witch as she entered the Entrance Hall. She immediately kneels down to her.*



"Greetings oh great and powerful Witch! I am honored to be of service to you Great Witch of the Purple Roses. You have fought valiantly against The God of Old in defense of the great nation of Twilight Vale and have emerged victorious which only proves that your power and glory is immeasurable. Although our great nation of Twilight Vale has been left in ruin and countess lives of our own people have been lost. I have faith that we as a nation and people shall endure and rise again from the ashes under your guidance and leadership and I pray for your speedy recovery. HAIL THE GREAT WITCH OF THE PURPLE ROSES!"

*Satorae raises her right arm towards the Witch saluting her and then she wanders into the Courtyard to look around and then to the Boiler Room.*

[Dr. Grownup]

Suddenly, the front door is kicked in by a very tall, very responsible adult. The looming silhouette of Joe Grownup stands broadly in the doorway, an oversized suitcase in each hand.


"It's never too late for breakfast! It's the most important meal of the day!"

[Zero One/Zero Two]

"Aye to that. Plus, you can't start a day with an empty stomach." And with that he goes to the Kitchen.

mao Does not find much of use in the hallway other than some random paintings depicting various lands of DRG-lands. There seems to be a landscape painting for each land, including Twilight Vale, Tea Plains, Lazy Lowlands, Ferrum Heights, Ancient Isles and Forgotten Sanctuary. Too bad there is no painting of the ocean here.
Walking out to the Balcony, you are greeted by a wave of fresh air and a very clear view of the outside areas. That includes the Rose Gardens and parts of Spirit Sanctum ruins.

Ktoasty walks into the Aquarium to find... Well. An aquarium that he might feel like he has seen before somewhere. One of the walls itself consist of one huge tank that seems to stretch far long into the distance than what the mansion should be capable of housing. The entrance is shaped like a tunnel of sorts, once again filled with various kinds of aquatic life. Finally, the most eye-catching part of the room are the jelly tanks, lit up in different colors of the rainbow.


Kuroneko enters what seems to be a closet to Narnia, closes the door and never comes out again. Just kidding. Conveniently, Kyuku finds exactly what she needs on a table right in front of her.

Dr. Grownup is back from their mysterious business trip, which possibly makes Zero One/Zero Two happy. Deciding to have a bite as well, the two of them go into the Kitchen, where they see Mari reading off of some kind of list.


"Oh hello again! Mari has been planning out something very fun and something Mari is sure everyone would enjoy! Mari just needs to doublecheck a few things, then we will explain everything!"

Misaki and Magnus decide to stay behind and interact with the flickering image of The Witch.


"Elodie, hm? She was a fair maiden in her own right. Pink hair set up in a childish hairdo and a beautiful singing voice. She used to be a noble heir to her family fortune. Alas, it was simply not to be. She was dethroned by other nobles... a matter of internal politics I would rather not speak details of, as this hardly concerned me at the time I had an unstable land to run."


"Elodie has since sought refuge within my mansion, agreeing to become a maid and housekeeper as a means to pay for her stay. I know not where she has run off to. She was ordered to move away upon the arrival of that Old Man... But there is always a risk of that she has not made it... Like many others."

The Witch glances at the kneeling priestess in front of her, hearing what she has to say.


"Rise, child. You have done well to make it thus far."


"True. The nation of Twilight Vale has fallen quite far, but still managed to stand. It will take many decades before we get back to the point of glory where we used to be before..."


"But for now I must rest while I oversee thine activities. We are left in a very exposed, vulnerable position... But I have faith that the other gods will stick to their rules and choose to not strike me down while I still try to find my footing... And once we do..."

The Witch finishes her sentence with a knowing smirk

Excel will head back inside, checking on the Armory on his way, before entering the Treasury. Perhaps the missing painting of the ocean will be found here.

[Kuroneko]

Drat, lost in Narnia again She fiddles with the camera, checking which parts need fixing. If she can't figure it out on her own, she wanders out and back in with various other targets in mind like repair manuals and her summoner.

[Zero One/Zero Two]

"OwO, what's this? Are we having a party later on?" As "Cloak" glance over the list, from a far, kinda like peeking.
