Whoever can fight bravely push back the dead skeleton cultists. Satorae runs off from your group head first into danger with her battleaxe, desparate to know what happened to the Witch. Unfortunately her carelessness allows some sort of non-humanoid demonic creation to ambush her. It pounces at her, but it immediately gets trapped in a floating sphere of water. An illusory creation of an orca consumes and tears it apart.
Since when did Mari get back to you? You could swear that The King did not teleport her along with you. Perhaps he did and no one noticed? At least she looks unharmed.
"You're all here! Mari must go look for survivors! Please, follow Mari quick. Because Mari was also supposed to take care of you all, so you should definitely come with her!"
She urges for you all to go back to the center of Spirit Sanctum, promising to keep you all protected. You don't really get other choices in a capital city infested with death and aggressive monsters. You spend a while looking for possible survivors as you head closer toward the center of the city.
Kyuku's ghostly form allows her to float through the rubble of the destroyed city, helping Mari to look for any signs of life in her own way. Most of her functional items have been overloaded and destroyed. The magnifying glass helps very little, but she does manage to see the aurora-like waves from before. This should have only been possible through the telescope, and yet somehow the magnifying glass seems to do the trick.
Kyukuand whoever freels like breaking off from the group to explore eventually DOES find a sign of life... But it's not the same person whom she heard before the city exploded
"You're... One of the participants. One of many whom we failed to protect..."
You find Ren on the ground, kneeling over a dead person who has surprisingly not turned into a vengeful skeleton. Instead, a white cloak has been draped over them. It turns red with the stains from wounds. He forces forth a smile despite the obvious mourning.
"Mari was with you, right? Please go back to her. I just... need a moment. You can tell the others that I am alright and will join you all shortly..."

Once again, you get no other choice than to rejoin Mari and continue trekking toward the center.
You find no more survivors on your way. If anyone miraculously survived the initial blast from the God of Old, the aftermath would have claimed their lives shortly after.

Twilight has passed. It is nightfall by the time you reach the location of The Witch herself. And surprisingly
Mari almost rushes at The Witch to heal her wounds... But then realizes that there is nothing to heal. She looks fine... If it wasn't for her unstable breathing and fading in and out of existence for brief moments like some kind of spirit, not very unlike Kyuku and Yoshino.
"..."
You see The Witch holding a crystal jewel shaped like a rose between her fingers. She holds it up to the light of the moon and has her eye look through it. It has a certain sheen to it. If it was ever supposed to glow, it has certainly seized doing so. She stares down the spot where Codeskull disappeared again.
"Hmph. Fool. We do admit that you got us good. And yet, there are so many subtle things that you simply did not grasp. You think we weren't ready to face one of your or The King's caliber? You had the pure power. Raw strength. Enhanced by endless flow of time. But we... We always had the advantage."
You realize the crystal in her hand is actually cracked. The Witch holds it ever so gently, but there is no way to hinder it's destruction.
"Had you bothered to read at least just a single basic history book about origins of magic, you would've known that sorcerers, casters and witches are at their absolute strongest within their designated territory. Why else do think we never left far from home? Why I never showed myself in front of anyone? We were prepared to sacrifice everything. Ever since the conflicts began to emerge, we have always been preparing."
The crystal in her hand finally breaks and turns to dust. The Witch flinches and staggers, but she regains her composure. She blows the shiny dust towards her mansion and it disappears in the wind.
"With the last of our powers, let us take advantage of the Ancient Isles' curse. Let us go back to the brighter times as we remember it. When reality is cruel... Sometimes it is okay to give into your memories.
For this is my domain and my word is absolute."
The earth beneath your feet shakes as if the entire land is responding to her call. Strange, powerful energy flows from the depths below, as if the land itself is casting the spell and not The Witch. You watch as the mansion slowly rebuilds itself, picking up rubble and reviving the plants around it. The creatures back away but continue to surround the domain from a safer distance.
Lo and behold, the building stands again. It doesn't look as good as new, but as if it was never destroyed to begin with. You feel like you can breathe more freely too, as the magic in the air is no longer as dense as before.
The Witch suddenly turns her attention toward you all. She probably knew you were all here from the very beginning.
"Come right in, my dear guests. Make yourselves at home and reminisce of what could have been... Had we been just a little stronger. You will find me within my mansion, where I must regain my strength. For now, I will leave you in the capable hands of Mari... And whoever else may be alive."
And with that, The Witch fades away.
Due to unforeseen circumstances (And Emi not knowing what to do with herself) this phase will be a mix of an event and other phases.
