Chapter 1: Who Contributed to the Fall of an Oceanian?

  As the timer on your bracelet rang out. You all receive a message on the bracelet to say to meet at the Courtyard. Once everyone has gathered, the dome in the middle of the courtyard with the statue of a bird descended and the ground open up and an elevator rises up. You all enter (luckily it was big enough to fit all 29 of you) and descended in it. Soon your ears popped as you descend and finally the *Ding!* of the elevator signifies you have reach your destination.*

*The lift open up and you see a room painted in deep blue colour and noticed that there's a podium that is arranged in a circular manner. You also noticed someone sitting at the far end of the entrance. As you take the stand, you noticed that there's a "X" mark on Yura's picture which a stand to represent where she was suppose to be. After everyone is in place, the podium you were standing on levitated from the ground with a bar locking the opening where you walked into the podium stand.*

"Well, I see that everyone has gathered. Let me just explain how this will work. All of you will present your findings during your investigation. You will then decide you is likely to be the chosen one; hence you are the jury. Then we will have a celebratory party to usher the particular person's bravery as part of the ritual. This is where I'll be the judge."



" Also, I would like to add, that Whodunnit is rather less important, therefore solving the Howdunnit before would be a much better option. Now let us begin."

Trial Rules


- Trial will last 72 hours 
- If an extension is required ( at least 50% of the participants must agree). An additional 12 hours will be given (case by case basis)
- Any questions from Investigation can be done in the first 24 hours of the trial. If you want a faster reply DM me on discord.
- Information deemed important must be posted here, if it's on Discord it doesn't count.
- All site rules applied here as well.

We stumbled upon the body in the Chamber of Solace.

(preliminary invest) It was floating facing up, and it had a knife stuck in its heart area. Both palms were wrinkled from the water.
The corpse was warm, so the death must have been recent. The murder likely occurred between A4-A5.
Also her expression is super calm, her features a little too relaxed.
She has another wound on her neck: it is an injection mark. Can't tell how old it is.
In her inventory is a card, the ace of wands (also the bracelet).

Hanna looked around the massive room, and stood up to the podium

"Um- I investigated the Kitchen... What happened there? I know when I left, the room was spotless!"

"Now it's a mess, flour is everywhere.... someone made an undrunk tea, pizza and ice cream are- gone! Someone- became a traditional dancer, and ate some gummies- I-"

She lets out a sigh

"The only thing in the bin were some kitchen towels. How wasteful can you get?!"

"There were quite a few things missing from the Kitchen, mostly ingredients. However some utensils were too."

"Let me check my notes... there was:"

She pulls out a tiny notepad

"2 Rolling Pins, a matchbox, a spatula, a frying pan, 2 kitchen masks, 2 pot and their lids, and 3 knifes."

"There was also a roll of tinfoil missing, which struck me as odd. In addition, there were 4 missing bottles of spice, but for the life of me I can't remember what kinds."

She put away her notepad

"So, would the owners of any of those items like to come forward?"

"Wait, she was floating face up but her palms were wrinkled?" Clover asks. "Doesn't that seem... weird?"

[Magnus]

Muninn brushed his chin with one hand, looking around at the group thoughtfully. “I found no clue in the Distillery, before anyone asks. The body was discovered A5, right? Who exactly located the body?”

[Nahema (Yasuraka)]

Mipha's looking pale, staring blankly. Her arms crossed, hands on her shoulders. Absolutely terrified.

"I-I had gone to the Tasting Room and..."

She takes a deep, shaky breath and says:

"T-the walls.... were red... RED... Wood... f-floating on the w-walls... L-lamps on and glowing... b-bad words... warning..."

Mipha's shaking.

"Alistar and I got there after the body had already been found. So I guess it was Kyuku, Battler, and my brother."

"Relax. It is just wine. I know because Satorae... tasted it. Don't look me, I don't even drink alcohol."

Satan tilts her head at Mipha's words. Red walls? ...Oh. 

"Oh, dear Mipha, not to worry, I'm sure the red was simply from the wine that was in the barrels. The rest was simply from that fun little puzzle I told you about. You remember, don't you?" 

[Tetsu]

The cat-eared figure spoke

"Before I forget, I was given an order from the Observer."

He snaps his finger which echoes around the room and on his hands were almost full of cards


"Those cards that you have that is regards to your nightly adventures and helping you during the investigations are now in my hand. The only ones left are those that could assist in one way or the other in trial."

Mipha glances at the people responding to her. Then looks back down in front of her while saying:

"I-it was wine? O-okay... That makes sense..." 

She unfolds her arms, stands still and takes 3 deep breaths breathing exercises bby. And then looks at Satan.

"I remember... But if the red is from the wine and the water is gone... Then did you write the message? ... The one under the lamp."

Herlock Sholmes writes something on a piece of paper, folds it up into a crude paper airplane, and throws it towards Kuruguru. It gracefully arcs through the air and hits the ground right in the middle of the circle.

"...Ahem excuse me."

He attempts again, with similar results, then once more, hitting Dr. Excel directly in the face.

"CURSE THESE FLYING 'MACHINES!' Just...pass it over to Kuruguru please my friend. It's an unrelated matter but I deemed it necessary to bring up now."

"The words appeared after the puzzle was completed. The lamps on the wall were also part of the puzzle."

*Satorae donning a pot on her head, a kitchen mask on her face and holding a rolling pin takes the stand*



"I Satorae have investigated the scene of the crime and found that in the bigger room, there were some playing cards floating on the water though I found nothing unusual about them. In the smaller room, the water around the body turned red and there were floating boxes with straws and some chalices and cutleries and utensils inside. I also like to note that the walls around the room where the body is are damp. On the landing heading up to the Kitchen, the floor was damp and there was a dried red stain on it which smelled like blood. A few torches around the room have also burned down to different lengths."

"Rudy and I took most of those items collectively except for the spatula, frying pan and the 3rd knife. Don't ask why. And yes I can confirm the red stuff in the water in the Tasting Room is indeed wine though it also tasted a bit metallic and something weird."

[Yuri (Silentking)]

Rudy waves to Hanna while dressed in the same "armor" as Satorae while also holding a rolling pin. "Jealous? Also for my investigation, not really much. Seems like not many people went there that night. I did see a cut up blanket in the corner, but that was probably Yoshino using material to sew. And there was also two coats missing from the closet."
