Chapter 1: As the Wind Rises

As all of you slowly open your eyes...you were greeted by a rusty orange hue in the sky above. As you sit up, each of you noticed you were in a different place altogether. The first thing you noticed is that big mountain that sits right at the horizon and then the next would be the difference in the building architecture, you noticed some new buidlings while some are more older and well kepts that seems to have been integrated together. As all of you get your bearing straight and look around your surroundings only to find out that...something seems off.....it seems that there aren't that many of you around anymore.

*Gah* as most of you would be holding your head right now to try and remember what happened ...you remember a masquerade ball, the invititation of the three gods, the shocking announcement of a game, then a fight among the two archons and something happened....you remember darkness and then brightness envelope you at once. As you try to shake of the feeling, and looking at your wrist, you find yourself having a bracelet on it. 


Looking at it, you notices it is a black and when you touch it, a map of the area shows up with your location mapped onto it and also a timer counting down from 60 hours. What's more surprinsing is that, you do remember that this was not on you during the ballroom scene....so, where exactly are you?

Hanna awakens, massaging her temples

"Argh, my head hurts... What a crazy dream."

She looks around, finding herself in a park

"A... park? What am I doing here?"

Her eyes then land on the people nearby

"A man with some jester makeup, a girl best describe in the question 'What's black, white and red all over?' A rather... generic looking man in a nice suit, someone cosplaying as the Great Witch, and a younger man in a blue jacket... I feel like I've seen you all before..."

She remembered now. The she had seem them before.

"Ah... that's right."

She speaks up, so that the others can hear her

"You're all from that.. party by the gods right?"

"Does anyone know where we are?"

She gets up, trying to get a better understanding of the park

[Oracle]

Xcavate Building: Xerxes  Misaki  Yuri (Silentking)  Nahema (Yasuraka)  Hoody

Oracle stirs slowly, hand weaving through her hair as she sits upright, pausing only momentarily at the unfamiliar weight on her wrist. A moment passes as she twists her wrist one way and then the other, still somewhat groggy from her recent state of unconsciousness. Eyes float around the area, towards the people around her, before she ever so slowly stands upright, taking in her surroundings. It only takes a few seconds for her to come to terms with where she's situated- having seen the familiar landscape a few times during the last few months in Ferrum.

Eyes follow the strangers around her, eyes honing in on the bracelets, making a connection with some of the outfits a few of them wear. Dusting off her gowns and attempting to right her tiara as best she can, she speaks. "...You are... all from the gala, yes?" It takes a moment or two more for her to gather her words. Did this mean, officially, the death game had started? So this meant... she had to be on her toes. 

The landscape, of course, was very familiar to her. She'd been here a few times, of course. "I believe this means the game has begun." She's not the best, when interacting with outside people, especially when they have nothing to do with her goal, so it takes her a second or two before speaking. "We are in Ferrum Highlands, before anyone asks. In Ironham." there's another pause, contemplative, before she speaks.

"...Does everybodies bracelet say sixty hours, per chance?"

[Maria]

Satan taps her fingers against the glass in her hands, taking a sip of her drink as she leans against a nearby hedge. Why the hell does she still have that?

She stares down at everyone still passed out, recalling seeing their faces during the ball. Hm, wasn't there more people though? Fortunately, at least these people didn't seem dead yet. 

While waiting for everyone else to wake up, she decides to take in her surroundings. This definitely wasn't a place she had been to before. How exciting!

[Misaki]

*Satorae awakens from her slumber. She looks around for the Witch but she's nowhere to be seen. She does however find her partner Rudy near her along with 4 other people in the room. She turn to Oracle who called everyone's attention*



"Oh yes your that rich girl from the party. Everyone here is from party as well. So we're in the Ferrum Highlands huh? Do have any idea what this building we're in?"

*She then looks at the bracelet on her wrist*



"The bracelets all do say 60 hrs. Based on my own knowledge. These kind of bracelets are the things you see in death games which either explode or inject poison into your body once the timer runs out or if you try to remove them and are mostly likely used by the mastermind to track your location."

[Oracle]

As the pastel haired woman begins to speak, Oracle's head inclines ever so slightly. The rich girl? "I am a heiress." She corrects, without missing a single second. It is very important to make that distinction. She will be rich soon, but is not yet rich. That is her. A heiress. At her further questions, Oracle shifts to place her hands neatly infront of her, taking a few steps around the place, as if making completly sure that this hollow area is the same she knows, before she nods to herself. "It is the Ironham government building, though it's more commonly known as the Xcavate Building. Govermental transactions, information keeping and other important things take place here." her voice trails off, and very softly she manages out, "...Though I am unsure if there is a reason we were brought ehre or not..."

Eyes draw back to the pink haired woman once more as she begins speaking, and Oracle's eyes widen ever so slightly at her rather... advanced knowledge of killing games? A soft, "Oh?' leaves her lips, and she shrugs back her shoulders, easing the slightest bit of tension. "Do... death games occur often where you are from, miss? Though I don't doubt your claim, you speak of such things so casually."

"Well heiresses are typically from wealthy families and you even dress like one. Well lets say it's complicated how I know things like this but it shouldn't concern you but I would advise not to mess with these bracelets. Anyway. We're in a government building huh? Interesting. I think it might be a good idea to look around the area and find the others."

Ranranru wakes up from the floor, then looks at the park.

"Ugh my back hurts, who stole my bed?".

"Why did The Trio of them dump us here?"

She then looks at Countess Hanna.

"I feel like I need a partner this time. Would you be my partner?". 

[Oracle]

Oracle listens to the woman speak, eyebrows only raising ever so slightly. It would not be worth humouring her on why she was dressed up- need she remind the woan of how the gala was marketed as a masquerade. Instead, Oracle nods her head. "Yes. They could have been sectioned into other rooms around here." A pause, and a glance to her bracelet, the more proof she was in a game like this. Though unsure of the rules... it was some kind of murder game, and these people around her could just as easily... murder, just for the sake of it, in such a strange scenario. It would be best for her to split to avoid that. "I can check the back of the building, if it is required?"

"I suppose there are much, much worse ideas. Very well then. I'll be your partner."

She finally stands up, offering to give her a handshake

"Now... doesn't seem the time for formalities. Hanna is fine. You ar-"

She cuts her own question off by the realisation of wearing a bracelet

"-e? Are these... wristwatches?"

She moves her hand away to get a better look at it

"58:19:14? Then... a bangal with a clock? Or... a bracelet?"

"No matter."

She extends back out her hand, offering a shake once again

"I assume the gods dumped us here because they want us to... greet each other? Find something? I... don't know. Any ideas?"

"It could also be an exploding wristwatches, a timer or an electrocuting watch..... just like that game I played before....".

"Call me Ranranru. I'm a foreigner who'd recently move to Twilight Vale".

"The gods probably want us to kill each other then use the bracelet to kill the remaining survivors".

"Is there anything here that caught your attention?".

Spelly stirs in her sleep. Usually a light sleeper due to where she's from, it was the first time in a while Spelly got decent rest. Once the morning light finally reaches her eyes, Spelly blinks away, jolting up after a few seconds.

"hm, HUH? WhAT? Where is this?! Who are... pretty lady."

[Nahema (Yasuraka)]

Mipha wakes up, feeling groggy. Rubbing the side of her head with her hand, trying to get rid of this heavy feeling. Her vision is still a bit blurry, all she sees is this weird, black bracelet looking thing on her wrist and weird coloured looking blobs she assumes are people.

Absolutely convinced the masquerade ball was a trip dream, Mipha mumbled to herself:
"I knew there was something about that tea... I guess that's what I get for drinking tea made of leaves I randomly picked off of those bushes."

She overhears the two others speak of this thing called 'death games' and her grogginess seemed to have magically disappeared. She jumps up, looks at the two women (Oracle and Satorae) and asks:

"So I haven't been making this up? This isn't all some crazy dream? Did that ball with the gods really happen?! A-And this death game is real as well?!"

[Ame]

"Game you played before...? I- forget it. Ranranru, hm? Mind if I call you Ruru?"

"Though I agree, it wouldn't surprise me if that's their goal, given what they were talking about earlier."

She took another good look around the park

"Well, I woke up.. I think the same time as yourself. I haven't witnessed anything new."

"I for one, do not intend to play into their games. To that end, I won't be killing anyone. I think... for starters, we should get a bearing of where we are. We should inspect the park, and at least get an idea of what the situation we're in is."

She begins inspecting the park

Clover sits up groggily, and adjusts her earmuffs. 

"Wh...What happened to us...?"

Her eyes catch Snake, lying a few feet away, and she pokes him uncertainly. Satisfied with seeing the steady rise and fall of his chest, she turns her attention toward the girls who are also awake.

"How long have we been here...?" And to Mommy Satan, "Hey, where did you get that drink?"
