Mini 67 - Trial

It takes some time but you all arrive at Pachinko Big Star to see quite a sight. A pile of bodies, with MonoKiryu standing at the top, holding a man in a suit by the collar up for everyone to see. He turns to face the group and you see blood covering his suit. His face is pale yet full of rage, and he tosses the man to the ground, stepping on his neck. The man pleads for his life, but MonoKiryu keeps pressing, a sickening crunch echoing down the street as his neck snaps under the weight of MonoKiryu's boot.

After a few tense moments, he slumps down, holding his side. He barely gets the words out.

"MajimaKuma...is dead. This Omi Alliance bastard killed him."

Fear grips your hearts, it's icy fingers stopping you from breathing. If MajimaKuma is dead...someone here must've orchestrated it, sold him out right? MonoKiryu limps to a nearby table and sits down.

"Alright so here's what we're gonna do. One of you is behind this, and we're gonna talk about it. Like civilized folk. You tell me who to kill, and we'll make a nice public execution of this. Remind everyone that you don't Kuma! with the Tojo Clan. So get to work."

That's right this is a different kind of trial! The murderer has been caught but you need to find the mastermind who orchastrated these events. Good luck.

Truth Bullets:

Note at Shokichi Camera - The clerk when interrogated offers up a note she was ordered to give to someone. The note states: “TOM IS IN DANGER. THEY KNOW HIS SECRET.”

Phone Booth Usage - Scans of the city’s phone booths show that the booth in the Electronic District was used 1 time, and the booth in the Gambling District was used 2 times.

Discarded Items - By the Electronic District Phone Booth, a trench coat; fedora; and voice changer are discarded in a nearby trash can. The tag on the trench coat says “Asai Building No. 3”

Omi Alliance Informant - A mole in the Omi Alliance says that the higher ups were tipped off about the Tojo Clan working with the cops to take down the other clans. They decided to take out MonoKiryu and MajimaKuma to prevent this from happening.

MonoKiryu’s Account - Neither of us were ever planning on working with the cops! A true Yakuza wouldn’t dare trust scum like them to keep their word.

New Montmartre - The Cafe is absolutely trashed, with smashed tables and broken glass littering the floor.

Blue Diamonds - A small gang was defeated by Hotel Diamond Palace and Hotel White earlier, their unconscious bodies still laying in front of the establishments.

Swindled Patrons - An elderly couple at Tokyo Popori are looking for a lost watch. It was very likely stolen.

Ticket for Short Circuit 2 - Stuffed in a trashcan by Kamuro La Scala Cinema is a ticket for the hot new movie, Short Circuit 2. It came out in 1988 and was popular in Japan.

Pachinko Big Star - The place is riddled with bullets, with MajimaKuma's body hidden behind a table. It appears he was shot from behind several times, killing him almost instantly. MonoKiryu is injured as well, although the extent of his injuries are hard to judge.

An expression of plain shock briefly appears on Matsuo’s face, before he quickly composes himself and glances around at his fellow Yakuza with a bitter, mirthless smile. “I can’t imagine any intelligent, honourable individual in our midst sending an assassin to murder MajiKuma-buchou.” 


Matsuo spat in the direction of the dead assassin, shaking his head from side to side before straightening his back, wiping the disgust from his face. He couldn’t get emotional anymore, so he simply wouldn’t. Easy as that.

“Our first step should be figuring out when the mastermind had hired this killer, and how the mastermind behind this tragic death managed to arrange Majikuma-buchou’s presence here. Perhaps one of the phone booths in the city were used for both purposes?”

[Tetsu]

"Drat...these mofo's surely have not gotten the hint!"

Wei Shen slams his fist on to one of the walls

"They do not know, that they should never mess with the Tojo Clan, if they want blood on their hands, we will give them blood"

[Ktoasty]

"I think Wei knows about at least some of the first two truth bullets. Right, Wei?"

Tom explains.

"I saw Wei go into the Shokichi Camera at the start of A1, while I moved north. Then, at A2, I got a call on my cell from Wei about this 'secret' someone knows.

What probably happened is someone dropped off the note at A0 or A1. Wei got the message, and he called my cell through one of the phone booths once he left Shokichi Camera at A2.

So, Wei, did you use the phone booth in the Electronics District or the Gambling District?"

"Well that's interesting." Replied Keqing. "I know Tom was still with the bosses bowling when I left A4 and that's when I passed Wei as I was heading towards the electronic district, and Wei, you looked mighty Anxious. What happened after you got off the phone?"

[Izumiko (Emi)]

"Hold on, so Wei was one of the people who used the phone booth? If we can find out which one he used, we could narrow down the usage of the other phone booths!"

"But Tom-san, whatever was the information about you that was leaked? Did... you do anything about it..? I would be so nervous in that kind of situation... I just hope it wasn't anything that lead to such a horrible massacre like this"

I'm also curious too though. RIP MajiKuma. When you're no 1, everyone is targeting you.

"Well, Yuki. Wei never told me exactly what the secret was, but he sure was nervous about it. I haven't the slightest idea what it could have been."

Tom dusts off his police uniform cosplay and continues.

"Though, I wasn't too concerned about what he told me. If I recall, I was thinking at that moment 'who would hurt a guy with a mustache like mine,' and went on my way to the Mach Bowl.

Thanks for organizing that bowl-off at the Mach Bowl, by the way, Keqing. I'm sure MajimaKuma had a great time playing with me and MonoKiryu."

"No worries Tom, I presumed the bosses would enjoy some of their favourite R&R, and MajiKuma was so impressed he even bought me a drink." She stop mid sentence. "Who ever organised this, must pay. Talking of which, Tom, when did you three leave Mach Bowl? Or were you too intoxicated?"

[Ktoasty]

"The three of us would have left at the start of A5 since the bowl-off finished. I went to NY Hot Dogs and met Horse there, but I don't know about the bosses. MonoKiryu probably knows."

MonoKiryu is feeling a bit woozy since he's lost quite a lot of blood.

"MajiKuma and I went directly to our usual gambling spot, Pachinko Big Star after the Bowl-Off. We entered the same time as Brandon and "Swindler". We had a great time drinking and gambling until..."

"So even Tom-san doesn't know what he is being blackmailed for? Was it all a fluke to put people on edge? If so, then it sounds like it certainly worked on Wei-sama."

"There was a noteworthy while during the day (A3) where I saw our leaders both pass by where I was. They were heading form Media District and going southwards. I heard them speak about bowling, so I presume this organized event of yours was exactly that?"

"And yet... The strange happenings did not stop there (A4). I saw... I saw Wei-sama... Following Hilda-san? Presumably without her knowing? I was worried about Hilda-san so I tried to follow along to see what would happen... "

"But Wei-sama suddenly dashed away around the corner... I am a complete failure at following anybody myself, I am afraid. Thus, I lost track of both Hilda-san and Wei-sama at the street outside the Pocket Circuit Stadium. I truly hope everything turned out for the best for everyone..."
