Suisei was getting increasingly annoyed at the man's mannerisms

"I'm sorry sir, but you sure are asking a lot of questions for someone with no credibility of your own. As much as I want to solve figure this out I feel like I'm being singled out. I mean, you all saw it happen. Sal breathed fire onto Vesta. They had been fighting throughout the night, I don't think there's much more to it than that."

"Besides, of course I was in the bar at 8pm. I didn't say otherwise. On the contrary, I was helping out Chowder in the bar, chopping up some root vegetables for dinner."

"For clarity, I'll recount what happened in the bedroom between Sal and I. I think there may be some confusion there."

"I went into the bedroom, wanting to prepare myself for my show. Touch up my makeup, fix my hair, just, perfect myself and do some warm ups."

"I walked in and I saw Sal there, he looked a little upset, saying he had been arguing with someone. I had seen him argue with Vesta so, I knew who he was talking about. We talked for a bit, exchanged advice and whatnot, but I fear I only made things worse. Once he finished talking, I felt a chill run over me, as Sal left with a grin on his face. After I had finished preparing myself, I begun my performance, and I saw him sitting with Vesta."

[Crow]

“You saw him sat with Vesta.. but no Sona? Well now, that's a bit interesting isn't it.”

Wenderlyn chuckles softly, tapping his staff twice onto the ground before turning towards Sona.

“Sona, I've asked you for what you were doing at the time on Sal and Vesta table before the murder but let me add another question to that. When did you join the two on their table?”

As if remembering something, He raises his brows as he added another question.

“Another thing, What did you do in the foyer or bedroom area around 7pm and what were you doing in the smithy around 8pm?”

[Peregrine]

After a few moments of stillness, Lani's head jerks upright in response to Forrest's previous question.


"Zzz—Hrngh? Oy, I was trying to nap. Whatever. Boring night as usual for me. Everyone came in soaking wet, me and Masterchef Junior were the only ones at the inn before then. Got a warm welcome from Nero, broke some stuff. You know how it is. Had a drink from around 6:00 to 7:00, then went to the Smithy."

"While I was there, I figured I'd analyze their expenditures, substantiate their transactions, all that jazz. That's when a got hit with a cloud of dust that got all up in my eyes and nose. Had me seeing red, if you know what I mean. Washing it with water helped a bit, but I was pretty much swollen, blind, and sneezing until I got some healing."

"That's all I got. Oh, that and the owner of the Smithy was definitely hiking up prices and pocketing the difference."

Sal left with a grin on his face huh? Hmm... Kinda sus.

Continuing where I left off... At 7pm, after getting myself warm up, I make my way to the Shop. Once there, I saw the lizard guy searching for something. Not interested in that, I look for something myself too. Not too long after that, I hear a commotion coming from the Entrance. And it turns out, the lizard guy got into an argument with the stick guy, and they both went their separate ways. I wonder what that's about...

Sona plucks idly at a few strings. Her mouth doesn't move. Instead, her voice echoes in your head, unable to be ignored. It's alluring, charming, and absolutely could be used for evil. It is a blessing that it is not. As she plays, a simple, sad melody in honor of their lost druid, her words follow the beat of the song.

"You certainly are one quick to accuse, it feels. What I did on my own time in the Smithy is unimportant, though I can say the state in which the Smithy currently is in is of my own doing."

"As for what was going on at the table, I can confirm that Sal apologized for his actions earlier. For that reason, I do not think Sal is our culprit. As for why Suisei didn't see me, I cannot say, but I was only there briefly. As they announced their song, I followed."

"Honestly, I think if anyone is suspicious we may consider looking to Chowder... or see what Chowder knows as he's the one who served the soup, the most likely trigger of Sal's fire. But I also readily admit to bias in these circumstances as I can still hear ringing in my ear from that bell I was woken up with. I was taking a nap at 9pm you see, until Chowder woke me up just before 10pm."

"So I guess... I do not readily accuse Chowder, not without ample evidence, but I do wish to know, Chowder, what all you recall about your preparation of your meal, and if you stepped away from it at all, when?" Her song ends with her words.

Ah, a possible meal rigged situation, huh? Classic tactic...

Where am I? Oh right. At 8pm, don't know what's up between the lizard guy and the stick guy, I went to the back Back of the Shop, and see on the worktable there's some residue, and a pestle and mortar have been used. I tried to look for something interesting, but nothing stands out to me. Perhaps it would be more interesting to other classes.

Hmm, not sure who could've used that pestle and mortar, but that could either be used for the cooking ingredients, or to make some sneeze-dust.

Or none of the above. Idk man.

"I had a lot of fun making the chowder for everyone! I started at 6pm at the bar counter and found some carrots, onions, and potatoes to chop up. Lani came over and asked for a drink too, so I got him a water. He didn't like water though, so I got him a strong mead instead.

At 7pm, I went into the bar storage for seafood! I grabbed two packets of prawns from the fridge. I also grabbed a pot and some soup stock for the chowder.

At 8pm, I started boiling my pot of soup stock. Suisei came by and asked to help, so I let her chop more potatoes and carrots. While I stirred the ingredients in, Nero came up and asked for a drink, so I got him a mead. Then I returned to my chowder around the time Sal and Vesta came into the building arguing. The last thing that I noticed was Lani passing by to the back of the Inn.

At 9pm, it was time to scoop the chowder from the pot into bowls! While I placed bowls on the bar counter, Wendelyn sat by the counter too, and I told him to look after the soup while I let everyone know about dinner. I rang my bell in the Inn first. Then I rang my bell in the Smithy and woke up Sona in the bedroom there. And last, I rang my bell in the Shop and saw Vesta there. She was holding a really pretty moonflower, and she followed me back to the Inn.

At 10pm, I took the bowls of chowder on a tray and served everyone, and I sat at a table with Ninja Jack and Nero to listen to the concert. That's all that happened while I made the chowder."

"So this means our top suspects are Wenderlyn, Chowder, and Suisei in that order. But it should be noted that 7pm is an awfully suspicious time as well. I'd also like to get Wenderlyn's account of what happened at 9pm."

“My account for 9pm? Hmph, if you so insist. After returning from the smithy where I know you would have seen me there back in 8pm, I sat down by the bar counter and rest my feets on top of the counter.”

“I noticed there are 10 bowls of chowders on the counter, still letting out steam so they should be fresh. Purple blob Chow then asks me to watch over the food before going off somewhere.”

“Nothing really happens after that and no one passes by but I could be wrong.”

Wenderlyn says with a shrug, not minding the accusations against him one bit.

"I suppose this begs the question then. Either the food was poisoned after being served in bowls--meaning it could only be Chowder Wenderlyn--or the food was poisoned before hand meaning that it was poisoned by Suisei or at 7pm. I was singing, so I obviously did not, but who all ate the soup?"

[Peregrine]

"I did. The carrots and onions added sweetness which nicely balanced the savoury, briny taste of the prawn stock. Overall I'd give it three bloodied horns out of five, as I felt the soup base lacked body overall. Paired with a good-quality Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon, it may have earned an extra half a bloody horn."

So many suspect, so little evidence... Sadge.

So, the wizard guy didn't messed the soup, huh? Who would have thought.

3 out of 5, huh? Eh, it was okay for me I guess, still edible.

Now, at 9pm, I decided to hang by the Entrance of the Inn, just to chill, and wondering what's everyone been up to, when Nero suddenly walks up to me, critics my suit, and ask me to worship him out of nowhere. The audacity. A bit mad, but still rational, I simply said, "No, thanks" and pays him no attention. Not long after, I heard a bell, and the purple guy walks in, saying dinner is ready.

And I guess, next is history...

Nero looks at Lani " I doubt you sneezing has anything to do with this because why would the blacken do that if they were going to kill Vesta even if they were in your way why would they do that if they could climb above you

At 10pm, I'm sure you all knows what already happened, but I'm just telling my POV. So, then, I head to the Dining Hall, and soon after, the others arrive at take their respective seats. Apparently, I was hungry, so I gulp down the whole Chowder. No offense to you purple guy, but it was okay, I guess. The idol girl said they're going to do some performance for us, and the anime girl gleefully and cheerfully join the idol girl, and started their performance. It was... Quite beautiful.

And then, as the sound was in harmony, I noticed the stick guy asking the lizard guy something, and out nowhere, a fireballs came out from his mouth and burns the stick guy completely. The stick guy screams for help as people tried to put out the fire, but alas to no avail. Should've ask him to stop, drop and roll. Ugh...

He realizes he doesn’t want to lose Vesta over a stupid argument - even if she was totally wrong - and must treat her better.
