Well then, while I must applaud the sense of spectacle, the wanton destruction of Manor property remains something of a grievance to me. Nevertheless, let us follow protocol.
The guests are ushered into the mausoleum once more, a macabre monument to the ancestors who built this Manor. With a tremor the guests have nearly learned to ignore, the elevator begins its rapid descent into the depths of the earth, a chill running down the spines of every guest present. The mausoleum feels spacious, almost desolate, as the guests have dwindled to barely half their original number. As the truth and nature of the Manor and its victims sinks in, it ferments, ripens, festers, and stabs at the guests' minds. When the guests step out of the elevator, the cruel simulacrum of a courtroom feels progressively less like a court of law and more like a stage, the guests less a tribunal of judges and more like puppets; pitiful actors forced to dance as the damned spirits of their fallen brethren bear witness to the farce at the pulpits below.
Like a grim ritual, the guests living upon the newly added headstones at the podiums which once belonged to the victims. As the guests take there places, there is momentary confusion as they realize the nameplates on the podiums of Bellamy, Battler, Mao, and J@N3 have been flipped upside down. No explanation for this will be given.
Despite the shock of that discovery, however, there is conversely no confusion as to the guests' purpose here: to discuss amongst themselves, present evidence, give testimony, and resolve arguments to ultimately uncover the truth behind the deaths of Mizuki Gekkou, the Paranormal Investigator, and Battler Ushiromiya, the Ultimate Detective, before they finally vote for the one whom they believe is the culprit. Should they vote correctly, as decided by a simple majority, the culprit will be appropriately punished for their misdeed. Should they vote incorrectly, however, the culprit alone shall escape punishment.
Without further ado...
Let the trial begin.
Trial 3 will last 72 hours from the creation of this thread. Should there be a unanimous vote earlier than that, it will end prematurely.
If the majority of players wish to prolong the trial further by the end of this period, a further period of time of up to 24 hours will be added, at the hosts' discretion.
You may ask questions of Skelly or The Narrator. Neither will ever tell a deliberate falsehood. Both reserve the right to ignore or refuse any question at their discretion. Please treat them with respect.
Above all, have fun!
