Mini Trial 7 - Trial

[Sachi]

You all gather at Monokuma Rock, a lovely little rock with lots of Monokuma heads carved onto it. Wait, what's a Monokuma?

Before you can answer that, one of their mouths shoots open - revealing an escalator that leads, where else, but inside the rock. You're wary of taking it but Daisy (who is with your group now, for some reason) reminds you of the Laws, particularly of Rule 8, then kicks you all onto the escalator.

An escalator... that leads to an elevator. You'd think they'd have a better system than that. Well, you all wait silently in said elevator while you nervously glance from one another.

As much as you don't want to admit it, someone here is a killer.

Someone ended the life of Brainwaves Jerry, the Ultimate Psychic Fella.

If you want to stay alive, you have to find out which one of you that is.

The elevator's doors open. Waiting for you is a set of podiums, each with someone's name on it. Jerry's podium is of course empty.

Daisy oversees the podiums on a large, red chair as she produces a keyboard. A few seconds of clicking later, who should appear at his podium... but a robo-fied Brainwaves Jerry? He looks fine and without any injury - you know, since he's a robot and everything.

Well, that aside, you have something to do.

A voice comes from the chest of the robot through a blown-out speaker, quite loudly.

"Oh, hey guys. I have a wicked headache."

"Sure sucks how murder occurred, especially on the human meat bistro formerly known as my body."

"Luckily, my psychically charged spirit has now inhabited this cold, burnished vessel. You may call me... Metal Brainwaves Coldsteel Jerry."

"Please detain and punish the culprit quickly, maintaining control over this contraption is giving me major psychic head-hurties."

[Sachi]

"So it turns out, I am supposed to help you guys out - at least, a little bit. So, if you need help with stuff, or have any questions... ask away! But remember, stupid questions get stupid answers! Kyahahahahaha!"

Hello. I am the GREAT SKULL ONE. It seems to be our first time meeting.
I did things today that you might like to know about, as I am a floating skull.

Even though it's our first time meeting right now, I made pizza for everyone for breakfast. This was very silly of me, as floating skulls do not need to eat. FOOLISH! Once the day start announcement began, all of you came and ate my apparently wonderful pizza, which I spiked with skull growth enhancements. Soon, you will all join me in being floating skulls! PRAISE!

Except for you, large round one! You're too fat to float. Stop with the liquid, carbonated sugar beverage if you with to ascend to GREATNESS!

After watching you silly folk consume your GREATNESS vitamins, I practiced FLOATING SKULL TRICKS at the Airport. Then, I flew over to the bear rocks where I saw medium trench coat one being a DETECTIVE. Also, silly robot one had skull pains. Such GREATLY SADDENED me. Skull pains hurt the GREAT SKULL ONE.

Then I went to the movies. Now I have DEJA VU! Large round one came in while it was playing with lots of POPPITY CORN. Really, large round one, consume fewer foodstuffs!

My movie was then interupted with a DING DONG BING BONG! Goodbye, movie!

"Let me... remember where... I was..."

The NEET blinks a couple of times.

"I slept... a lot. After breakfast... I sat by... the pool... Mr. Artemis was... probably there too... I wanted to be alone... so I went... to the beach.
Later... I walked to... the music place... Ms. Maizono was... singing. Mr. Artemis passed by... He came back later... to tell us... about the murder...
I followed him... to the motel... and you should know... the rest..."

[Sachi]

"Wowzers, I can barely listen to her! Can you even think of a more annoying way to talk? I sure can't! Gyahahaha!"

The bucket of fat™ would stare at the weird floating skull's comment in bitter disgust.
"Hey! You're not even good enough to be F-ranked!"
She moved her face as her quadruple chin started to blend into a double chin.
"Logically, we need to think of the body first. Definitely, the wounds imply that the murder was violent and strong enough to overpower Jerry. His open mouth makes me think that the weapon could of been found somewhere in the Motel, the wounds seem too hastily done to not be spontaneous. Secondly, there's the issue with the murder weapon - it must be sharp, shouldn't it?"

[Peregrine]

Initiating indictment subroutine... Running laplace_demon.exe...

"All notable evidence has been transferred directly to my memory banks via uplink. By my psychic reckoning, I have determined that the most likely scenario is one in which my human form was murdered using some large glass implement which was either itself cylindrical, or contained a cylindrical component. It is likely that it was broken at one end in order to create a suitable weapon."

"There is a high probability that my body was in some way chemically incapacitated, indicated by a small wound on my neck in conjunction with a syringe in the hospital, cleared of fluids and hastily hidden. It would appear that before my death, the culprit found me in the hospital and took the opportunity to incapacitate me, shove me in a body bag, and take me to the motel, where I was then killed."

[Sachi]

"Oh, you guys are slackin'! Look, I know you missed a crucial area and everything, but it should be obvious what that one was, right? I mean, I expected you to investigate it no matter what. I was soooooo confused when you picked, like, random places."

"Tell you what! If you get off your butts and guess what the crucial area was, I'll tell you what was there! You only get ONE guess, so make it count! You can't say I'm not nice to you!"

[Ktoasty]

Kisha talks to anyone that doesn't have Daisy in their name. "Judging by those treacles we found at the crime scene, the Hotel Restaurant might be worth it. It probably has sharp objects too. What do you guys think?"

[Vinny]

"That is... a reasonable place... to look..."

[Sachi]

"Does that mean you've decided? Does it does it does it?"

[RuralApple]

"Are we okay with this? The hotel restaurant has a lot of items for the murderer to use so I'm fine with that."

[Sachi]

"Okay, okay, fine, here you go: It was the stupid Hotel Restaurant. Maybe you guys are smarter than I thought...

It was an utter mess, and it stinks! Because none of you stayed to clean it up! Well, one person did stay, but 'cleaning up' was not their goal, no siree!

Your plates are still on the tables with scraps of leftover pizza you didn't eat, and there's a whole ton of empty soda bottles left too! And there's a little shelf, off to the side, that's where I put the cuttlery and drinking glasses, and stuff. The glasses are arranged eight along, eight back! That's sixteen! No... Wait, no it's not...

Um, anyway! There's only seven glasses in the front row! What do you think that means, huh? Huh?
