Maria carries Chuya on the shoulder to the door.
“Let us get out of here.” she reassures.
Magic users, assuming staff and security, begin the swarm into the research facility. They march around forming a circle to block off anyone entering or leaving. They don’t seem to see you all, but just are following a procedure.
“Come on!” Keiko whispers, as Mes takes lead since Chuya is injured.
Keiko holds the door, and narrowly Maria and Chuya escape as well. Unfortunately, a couple magical security members do see Keiko leave and close the door, so they follow.
Running out of the area, Mes takes lead. The path to get away from the building is narrow, similar to a fire escape roughly 5 floors up. Some students and staff are curiously climbing the route, but unfortunately Mes doesn’t have time to talk. She bashes anyone and everyone out of the way with her shield, running through the small crowd of people and making way for her group behind. And yes, some people do fall from the fire escape thing.
At the bottom, Mes pulls back, exhausted, and Keiko takes point. Maria now carries Chuya, who seems to be getting sicker somehow. Was something in the water? Keiko runs towards the entrance of the academy, but they have to get through piles of students who look into the scene trying to figure out why their classes have abruptly stopped.
Keiko practically splits the sea of students using her charms, or more appropriately to be called her powers of persuasion and intimidation. They move aside in what seems more like a trance as if being controlled.
Finally, the group reaches where Shizue should have been, but who is now as the psychic. They try to catch their breath, but clearly some Guards are coming this way. Off they run again.
“We should split up! Harder to catch!” Keiko yells out to the group.
Without any time to think, you all agree and head in all sorts of directions. Maria takes Chuya to the Temples, Keiko heads to the Slums, and Mes runs off to the Administration District.
