Trial #3: Shall We Dance Till The Bitter End?

As the bell signals for the end of the investigation, each of you receive a notification to head to the Mansion . Once there, you are all notified to head down to the basement. At the basement, most of you noticed that there are pods lined up with humans inside and has tubes coming out of it and a lot of mechanical stuff underneath there. You all reach the end of the hallway, and the door opened up as you all enter. It closes and then you all begin to descend. You all noticed that John seems to have bloodstained on his suit while Miya is holding him over her shoulder.

You all soon reach the trial room. There you noticed that everything is made of stone with unidentified words carved onto the side of the walls and all around. In the middle is the podium which forms a circle and on 5 of them are images of Matt, Joe Kisahi, Julie, Joe Takaki and Chuck. However, that is not what caught your attention but the one who is already there standing.




"It seems you are aaaallll here! C'mon stand on the podium! We have to finish this once and for all!" Her eyes then turned towards John when he was place onto the podium by Miya before she takes hers. 

"Jeez...why can't you just die already Daigo? Legitly...I'm not going down without a fight...you know.."



"...Let...them...go...Kizu.."




"Of course I'll...let them go...after they fail this!"

She looks at each of you.


"Now..shall we begin? Heheh...the trial to solve this whole mystery and the death of Taizhu..."

She looks around and said


"Don't be afraid...everyone...we already know who the killer is...and he is among you all...a demon in disguise...a figure of mystery...and we shall find out who is the strongest among Light and Darkness...shall we Daigo-san? Now you all don't be afraid to ask me any questions alright..?"

Rules of Trial

1. This will last 60 hours (2.5 days)
2. Question everything, you may ask NPC anything.
3. This is majorly a plot trial, if you can piece the murder together, you're welcome to do it.
4. Sell your convincing skills to each other.
5. After 24 hours, a revelation will happen.
6. Questions about investigation ends in 24 hours.
7. Enjoy the last trial!

[Misaki]

Ayumi takes the stand and faces the girl...



"So your the other mastermind behind this all. Kizuno I presume?"

[Tetsu]

“My,my...someone took the time to learn my name, I’m so proud of you!” The girl said.

“Yes..I am one of the people behind your potential demise!”

[Misaki]

"And I suppose Taizhu was your brother and fellow mastermind...who is now dead. Just want to say I feel sorry for your loss and may his soul burn in hell." She says in a sarcastic tone.

"On that note. Let us begin this trial by discussing the murder of Taizhu shall we. Alright so the murder happened in the White Room of the mansion around action 5. Taizhu was tied and gagged onto a chair and suddenly, a spear broke through a window and impaled Taizhu in the head killing him instantly. Miya, John, Shirou and myself were at the scene when it happened." 



"Now before I discuss my findings regarding this case. I would like to make a claim that the real killer is probably not with us right now. In fact I would even go as far as to say that the killer...may not even be human..."

[Tetsu]

"My..my...Ms. Ayumi..I'm glad to be burning in hell than in your predicament if you catch my drift..." She giggles unfazed by Ayumi's comment

"My brother..was a sacrificial lamb...and one more thing...Ayumi.."

She turns her gazed at Ayumi



"Why would someone believe you..while you keep your true identity a secret..huh? Do you think they will believe you now...I stand by it that the killer is within this room..and he is standing here..."

[Kuroneko]

"We believe her because she is innocent. Let us remove everyone who was not around the mansion during the time of the murder. Murai was in a bedroom; Gypsum, Nagano, and Yuna were in the kitchen; Penni was in the Gym; Leio was at the stone wall; and Emi was at the haunted house. Shiina and myself had been searching the mansion for this wretch."

"With the ones named out of the way, possible culprits could be Naoya or Kizuno. However, my intuition says that you are lying about the culprit being within this room so there is probably a third party out there."

[Tetsu]

"Oh..is it...I feel that John is the one who brought demise to my brother..even after you fix him up..? Don't you forget..he moves faster than human..."

Kizuno winks at Yuri.

"Then enlighten us if we have a third party here..? I wonder if you even have proof?"

[Kuroneko]

"John was unconscious with his wounds being sewn shut by Miya when the demon outside the window threw the spear through Taizhu's head. I doubt John could move fast enough for someone watching him to not notice anything amiss."

"If we can prove that the individuals in this room could not have committed this crime, then it logically follows that someone who is not in this room had done so."

[Tetsu]

“Very well...Yuri, Oh our esteemed Leader! Who spent the whole two nights grabbing a lot of stuff..trying to save us all!” Kizuno said with a tinge of sarcasm “then proof it with evidence not words...”

“Quit..it Kizuno...you are not surviving this time around..” John spoke out of a sudden but his voice is weak.

“Oh..Dai- I mean John...hows that pretty little face of yours from the explosion courtesy of your dear little Mizuko...hmm..? Oh right..she stopped believing right..? Not everyone can be saved Daigo-san...no...” Kizuno said with a mocking tone

[Misaki]

Ayumi stares back at Kizuno...



"Trying to sow mistrust I see. How petty. I will neither confirm or deny your claims about me but I can prove my innocence in this murder since Miya, Shirou, John and myself all witnessed the murder happen right in front of us so non of us could have committed this crime."

"And according to Yuri. You've been lying about the culprit being in this room and there was indeed a 3rd party involved. If you still insist on denying it though. Here is the proof to back up our claim."

"During the time when the murder occurred. I looked out the window and saw a huge tall figure wearing a bull mask and a white cloth with 爱 or "Love" written on it and wore a bead necklace just outside the fence which leads deep into the forest and this prompted me to investigate the mansion surroundings.



"When I got to the spot where I saw the killer standing. I found two big sets of footprints outside the fence. One pair was near the fence and it appears like they have 3 toes and the other wasn't near the fence but was closer the forest. They were roughly the same size of the ones near the fence and appears like they were wearing shoes. Both footprints were standing side by side when entering and exiting the forest. There were also no prints within the vicinity of the manor so they couldn't have entered the mansion area. This suggests that there were actually 2 people at the scene during the time of the murder. One who was close to the fence and probably was the one who threw the spear into the White Room and killed Taizhu and the other was standing close behind them and I believe both these figures are the ones responsible for this for this murder and the reason they aren't present in the trial is because they didn't originate from park but came from the forest beyond the park. It also suggests that these two are probably not even human but could perhaps be demons as their footprints are a lot bigger than the average human and one of them had 3 toes."

[Tetsu]

Kizuno laughs
“Well you got me there...true the culprit may not be in this room, but they surely are here..since you are ripped for the taking!”

John perks up a little.

“Why..you! Are you saying he’s here..? No..it can’t be! You’re..you’re lying!” John’s voice trembles a little.

“No..I won’t buy it! Y-You’re doing the same thing you did to Mizuko to us now! We will stop you..Kizu!” John slams his good hand on the table while everyone can see he has a soft green glow emitting from it.

Kizuno giggles.

“Oh silly John, I told you..you can’t save everyone! He will show you no mercy this time...you know...he will not...” Kizuno sighs “What a waste for Leading of Light to waste their precious Demon Blood after you guys killed them. He wants revenge Daigo-san..and he will get it from this group with you watching!” Kizuno laughs maniacally

[Kuroneko]

"If you plan to have us all murdered anyway, is there a reason for us to stay?"

Miya's demeanour has completely changed from when she first stumbled through the doors initially but she carries on through pure will, the light has gone from her eyes and pure spite is wretched across it whenever she looks towards Kizuno. 

"So Kizuno, if this trial over your brothers death is really just to waste our time, I'm hoping you could answer some questions for me about your previous failed experiments. You know, the ones on the main computer in the computer lab that Naoya lovingly unlocked for us?" 

Miya then precedes to explain what the files said from memory; 

"I noticed there were 4 files. Each labelled as “First Experiment”, “Second Tryout”, “ A Remastered Test Run” and finally “Final Hopeless Test: Ongoing”. 

The “Final Hopeless Test: Ongoing” was a lot of information and whats more, was all our profiles and as I read through them it’s clear that this is some sort of experiment to test each and everyone of us. But everyone is probably more interested in the other three files. 

“First Experiment” showed a list of adults in different uniforms and each has their names and profiles at the side. It seems the first experiments includes adults.  

Results: Failure 

Reason: They think too much, eradicating all survivors.

“Second Tryout” was a list of students all wearing uniform with a Shield Crest. In this file there was a video. It showed a guy with red hair walked into the bathroom and as he was washing his face, a guy in speedos and blue hair sneak behind him and choke him to death with a toilet paper roll with chains and it stops.

Results: Fairly Decent But a fail

Reason: An uninvited saviour department, found out and its fear that a mole maybe be planted soon. Rethink of a killing game

The third file “A Remastered Test Run” showed only the list of students and they are wearing an eagle crest, with their profiles.

Results: Failure

Reason: A Mole has been found eradication immediately".

Miya then smiles.

"So then on the office computer there were the files relating to this "Saviour department", the email was this:

After a trifling few years, our world has come to shambles, what’s more, only a few schools and professional training centres have survived. However, we fear there are entities more than meets the eye. These people, will stop at nothing to bring only one thing in their mind, darkness and destruction. Yes. World of Leading Destruction Association or W.O.L.D for short are targeting those remain with the last remainder of light in their heart and taint them with darkness.

We have sent 3 agents and only one has survived and brought us back survivors which we have the data to help those who are still trapped in whatever places this Association has. Though the agent survived, they show a sign of difference from when they first went in. However, hearing another school has been selected, the agent decided to take part again. We told them about the risk it will have and the repercussions but they will not listen. So...the only thing we can do we what we do best to all other participants that we have saved. They are ready for the task and we hope that we are not too late.

Once we get in, we need an extraction plan that has already been informed with our superiors. Lastly, we have to save this last group of Light. No matter the cost.

"Now I'm wondering why the last test was immediately eradicated but this one wasn't.. unless you know that is what you're trying to do now, is it not?"

"I think I know what 'event' you mean. As I was investigating the mansion surroundings, I found a gate with a strange lock which leads outside into the forest. The lock itself had some strange writings which I was able to translate and it said:"

Once the moon is full, the gates shall be opened. Wrath and destruction shall befall, on the ancient land. While the wait is there, evil shall lurk within, once the lock is broken here, only shall it begin

"So that is your play isn't it? You've been using this trial to buy some time until the full moon is up and that's when your 'colleague' comes in and kills us all?"
