Game 79A: Trial 1 - Detective Pokémon!

"Ill share my alibi and investigation, thought i'm not sure how useful it will be.

Firstly i went to chest 3, i froze the floor so i could get what was inside, Yume seemed to be the only one to contest me for the chest but my Vaporeon froze her feet, i sent Vaporeon to go in and grab the item from within while i waited in the shadows, it retrieved an ocarina, although met with some resistance from Yume's partner attacking Vaporeon.

Next i went to the abandoned hut, i arrived with Yume and Michi arrived after.

I looked around more, the other two left, while looking around Aragi and Isabelle walked in, they seemed scuffed, nevertheless all i found from my investigation was some dusty, rusted items, pokemon heads mounted on the wall, and some berries that seemed to be fresh...

Fourth, i left the hut and went back to town, i walked over to the well and saw Takuya knocked out, i saw Daku grab his body and drag him into the well so i decided not to follow them inside.

After that i went to the library, i saw Yume yet again and we both looked around in the bookshelves.

Lastly i attempted to enter the cafeteria but the door was blocked by a Snorlax >-> Akumu Shirokuma and Mindy were there also.

I guess that means the victim died past action 3 at the least.



For my investigation i looked at the walking path by the river, i took a close look at the water and noticed there were damp footprints leading out of the river that resemble that of a Munchlax, and i was able to tell by the way the Magikarp in the water moved that someone went fishing during the night...

That's all i got."

“Anyone could try to temper with Investigation...and mostly the culprit was among the crime scene or body investigators...as far as we know..”

Inari paused

“Do you know..the source of the bright lights? Was it a flash? Or a continuous light?”

Continous light. I would have been able to investigate if it wasn't.

TolKing just verified my Alibi for Action 6. That munchlax was mine

Minako pushed her glasses up her nose and lets out a deep sigh, her gaze shifting over to Naji for a moment before she stares somberly at the floor.

"Uh... I investigated the well. I was able to tell somebody fought here. It easily appeared one-sided and i'm assuming the target was knocked out. There were many pillows at the bottom of the well, too... strange... There was a long rope leading down the well, so naturally I descended and looked closer at the pillows, strangely there  were the indents of two larger bodies and one smaller body. There were also two coins down here... I wonder what occurred...?"

She tugs a strand of hair behind her ear before brushing her hands through espeons light fur.

'Action one... I arrived at Chest 2... I'm sure you heard what happened from the others so i'll gloss over the parts, however I was wrapped in chains and brought to the ground in chaos, that is all you guys need to know... Takuya, Isabelle, Aragi and Morgiana were there...'

The girl seems to cheer up however at her next statement. 

"For my Second Action i ventured to the library... I searched for interesting novellas... went to the town history section and learned about a Celebi within the town, perhaps not the mystery I was searching for but a interesting concept none-the-less that I must look into more. Both Storyteller and Daku were here."

She rubs gingerly at her arm, tilting her head slightly and adjusting her glasses, Admiral rubs against her leg to provide comfort, Minako hates speaking too much.

"I then wanted some food, so of course I ventured to the cafeteria for Action Three... but a large snorlax blocked my way and I was left hungry..."

She glances to the ground and begins to mumble.

"Looking for flowers.... action four... for Naji... sorry... in, uh... garden. Picked blue and white...."

She seems incredibly flustered and huffs, shifting so her hair falls in the way of her vision. A flower petal from messy scavenging is visibly stuck in her brown locks.

"...Anyway... Action five I ventured to the abandoned hut. Bianca, Hokoto, Rachael and Shirokum were there...  Shirokuma fell asleep whilst Hokoto's partner messed up the place and destroyed many things, it's a shame too... the hut appeared like a mystery relic... It was disgusting however... and I later found out it was hunters who did such a thing, such a simplistic and anticlimactic myst- oh... i'm rambling..."

She crosses her hands over her chest and glances to the floor, her sailor hat falling off in this motion, however it lands on espeons head snugly.

"...For Action Six as I said I found out about the mystery. I went back to the library and read about the abandoned hut. It was once a pokemon hunters shack and hundreds of years ago the act of hunting pokemon was a resounding sport. Some people, it's told, still practice it today...."

She wipes hair out from her face, looking disgusted.

"...It seems it's not just pokemon they're hunting now, however..."

I shall share my investigation, though it won't be new information..
I saw a bloody knife sticking protruding from the stump near the bodY. I think it very strange that the culprit would leave it out in the open like this. Also, a bloody trail was heading out towards the town. The possibility of the body being moved seems very solid.

"While my alibi is somewhat unreliable , I assure you the bright light was not my doing - my darling Cutiefly canot learn any moves capable of creating such light. The people attending Chest 2 last night already know the skill of my darling Cutiefly. Furthermore, you stated that the bright light would have came from someone nearby. However, my investigations - of which I will share the contents shortly - were not conducted anywhere near the body. Surely this proves my innocence?"

(Yeah we already found out in chitter chat that it was Toasty who did it for more 'details' in his results, and blinded me. Expect them from him never as he only shares Kuma! when it makes him look cool in his eyes. He refuses to share it.)

Takuya makes a note of everyone's alibis. "Okay, this is some good progress so far. There are still some people that haven't given their account of the night yet. Don't be afraid to speak up, guys. We're solving this as a team."

"While we await their alibis, I will finally reveal the contents of my Investigation! Listen close, friends:

The Town Library, first of all. Many books had been taken out, and a moody librarian was muttering things to herself as she tried to put them back. In one section, almost all of the books had been knocked over - like some sort of tornado had ran through the place!

Next, the Pokémon Trainer Supplies Mart. Seems things had been bought during the night. Unfortunately, the shopkeeper did not keep track of anything regarding the inventory. And even more uselessly, he could not even remember the exact number of people in our group who entered - estimating it to be between 6 and 10 people.

My final search was into the Town Cafeteria, and it was completely spotless. Seems the Snorlax blocking the entrance had been placed there extremely early in the night - preventing anyone from entering at all."

[Hosh]

Daku is still cradling Pancham in his arms when he decides to speak up.

"Alright. My alibi for tonight, huh? Okay, here it is:

(1) First off, I went to the Well. There, I instructed Kuzu to guard it and KO the first person to get near it. Bianca was there too.

(2) Leaving Kuzu behind, I headed over to the Library to get a Mythology book. Storyteller was there and Minako entered after a while, looking like crap.


(3) To finish off my preparations, I bought all the pillows I could from the Supply Mart. Michi was around as well but I couldn't see what he was buying.

(4) I returned to the Well and saw that Kuzu had KO'ed Takuya. Kanaji was bending over his body, but I just kinda grabbed it, dropped the pillows into the well and threw the body after them. Kuzu and I descended too.

(5) In the pillow-filled Well, I started reading an amazing story to both Kuzu and Takuya, who was slowly waking up.

(6) I continued to read as Takuya had fully waken up. Two coins fell on his head, which was kinda funny to be honest.

This should be enough to prove mine and Takuya's innocence.

As for my investigation of the Laboratory:

Professor Spellcaster told me someone had stolen three of her very important vials: one containing an explosive mixture, one containing lethal poison, and one being an experimental liquid. I don't know how it could be linked to the crime, but it might be."

[Kuroneko]

"It should be obvious where I had been for the first hour of the night.
I headed to the field afterwards and it was fairly uneventful.
My next destination was the garden where I saw Hokoto Ito playing with Pokemon. Two individuals had entered the garden prior.
Snorlax blocked the cafeteria so I couldn't get a bite to eat.
Disappointed, I headed to the town alley. It was empty, but there had been signs that a battle had taken place.
Without anything else to do, I went back to the Pokemon Mart to work."

[Tetsu]

“So..my turn right? Right?”

Inari looks excited.

“Alright! Here I Gooooooo!”

1- “I went to the Chest 1 and behold no one contested it! What an awesome start ya know! I’ve gotten something call the “Time Flower”. But who cares what it does right?”

2- Then I headed to the Bridge! There I was fishing and I saw Aragi walked by and seems to be playing with his Pokémon..I however caught a few fishes but nothing worthy to note...”

3- I then headed to the Pokemart . I browsed through the inventory but it was boooooring and I decided to buy some berries for Luca!

4- Then I decided to go to the Town Plaza and I practiced with Luca to keep us in top condition!

5- I then went to the Well to draw some water..but there wasn’t any there! But I did see some people down there..must be Takumi and Daku.

6- To end my night, I walked along the path of the river and play with Luca to keep him happy!

“Just to tell you..I was alone for all my actions with Luca except for the time at the Bridge.”

Inari paused

“Alright investigated the Cafeteria and Lab . The results obtained are like the two that has been said, so I don’t have to repeat!”

[Nerdy Barista]

"I don't believe the vials have anything to do with the crime. Though it's unsettling to know that someone has these vials... But why does the professor have these in her lab?!"

"Anyways...anyone who was at the hut action 5 and with no alibi action 6... They could be coinsidered a tad bit suspicious"

[Sachi]

"You know, there is something bothering me. From what I can tell, we have not yet discerned the origin of the murder weapon. My first thought would have been the Cafeteria - but my Investigation proves that no one could have entered there during the night.

However, considering the evidence that has been presented up until now - I believe I know a possible location. Yume stated that the knife was old. That description alone likely means it wouldn't have come from the Pokémon Trainer Supplies Mart. Anything from there would surely have been brand new.

According to what Minako read in the Library, the Abandoned Hut once belonged to Pokémon Hunters. Hundreds of years ago, such a thing was considered a sport. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but is it possible the Hunters from all those years ago were able to use knives like that? In which case...

I propose that the Old Knife's origin was in the Abandoned Hut!"

[Kuroneko]

"As a matter of fact, the vials may have something to do with the murder. Rachel's tongue was discolored, unnaturally pale and cold. Sadly, I was unable to identify the cause of the discoloration."

*Morgiana goes to Bianca Willow, Minako Koyama, Hokoto Ito, and Shirokuma Rebanam with a pen and notepad*
