Once all 6 actions are filled out or if a body is found by three people, Deadly will begin. Investigation will last 24 hours. And then you have 48 hours to solve trial. An extension of 24 hours will be granted if more than half the survivors requested it.

I also highly suggest exploring environment if you are not blackened. You might find something.
