Game 78 Trial: The first out of many

Chihiro Then speaks up. They were still quiet. They stumble as they clentched onto the podium rail and looked the wall, as if they were staring at something.

"Umm... I-I hope that I can be useful in catching the killer in this... I can start off with my entire night, if it helps at all."

" I went into my dorms to conduct a little bit of an investigation. I checked around the room and even examined what was in my room. This could probably also apply to the rest of our rooms..

 Our dorms can lock from both inside and outside of the room. I see a reasonable amount of space. There don't seem to be any traps inside our dorms. There is one security camera, That faces our bed."

                                                                                

" I then spent the next hour or so in the A/V room. I looked around and I was all alone. So I sat down and started to play round with the gadgets inside. I noticed random CD's, screens, And video games"

" Then after that..."

" Agh.... My head hurts still... I walked into the kitchen and saw Kyouko, Nagito, Makoto, and.... Leon. Nagito was making a milkshake... And he poured it into some glasses and then asked us to try some. So I did, Everyone except Leon had drank this stuff. And it tasted really good!"

"Everything felt heavy! I couldn't move! I wanted to scream for help but I couldn't! I hear Nagito screaming as metal was hitting against something! it.... It was terrifying! I wanted to get up but I couldnt...   "

" Thats when I blacked out... I was, dreaming. I was dreaming about my family... I wonder if theyre ok, I wish they were here..."

"Then I dreamt about me sitting in class with a bunch of random students... With this lady teacher talking to me and the students... Was this, Hopes peak?"

"Thats when I woke up! I noticed Mondo, Kyouko, Makoto, and Nagito were on the floor. And Leon...? He was gone..."

"And as for what i saw during my investigations!"

" I indepthed the kitchen. It was pretty messy inside, Mostly the four glasses with light pink liquid inside of them. Along with 3 different knives of all different sizes were missing..."

"But... I also checked the security (Whitened Skill) of the kitchen!"

"I first saw Nagito with his back turned to the camera. He was making the drinks... He made five cups of the drinks as Leon was staring at him and sipping Tea. Nagito took one drink and drank it."

 " Then... I saw Me, Makoto, Nagito, Kyouko.... And Leon on the floor. All knocked out. Leon had a frying pan beside him. Thats when Mondo walked in... He was walking towards me and Makoto.... 

"Thats when Monokuma stopped me from watching the footage... He said If I saw it all... Trial would be... Spoiled"

"Alright, my turn.

1 - I had went to the store to look around. I wanted to see if I could find anything interesting. There, I ran into Daisaku and Leon. Daisaku had bought a shovel and hair shampoo, while Leon was looking around with me.

2 - After that, I went to the library to do some reading. I thought I could find some clues there, too. Ishimaru was there with me and he had grabbed a book while shouting rules."

"3 - That's when the chaos happened...I went to the kitchen to get a snack, and arrived with Kyoko and Chihiro. Leon and Servant were there, too. Servant had dumped a milkshake into the trash, then explained he was trying to make better ones and asked if we could all help with taste-testing. Everyone but Leon agreed, and it was delicious! But...Right after, everything went so quickly...My vision went blurry and before I knew it, I was on the ground. I didn't know what was happening...Servant screamed and I heard the sound of metal slamming against something. Then, there was pained muffling and something metallic hit the ground...I went unconscious after that..."

"6 - I soon woke up in a daze...I saw Kyoko, Chihiro, Servant, and Mondo on the floor and were waking up as well...Leon wasn't anywhere to be seen..."

"As for my investigations, I found...well...his skeleton. There was ash surrounding it and his neck bone looked broken. I was able to tell that the broken neck wasn't an accident, and that a weapon tool wasn't used to break it. Also, there looked to be a bruise on his head. Nothing else was broken."

"The toughest seed sprouts in gravel!"

Hey, this one almost makes sense! Not really. You assume he's giving you some kind of encouragement. 

"A messy clerk grows no trees!"

Alright, through careful analysis and the tone of his beautiful voice, you realize that he went to the School Store. Messy sounds like Makoto, because he has no sense of fashion. Trees relate to wood, which bats are made from. Baseball bats! By golly, you've got it! Leon was there!

"The smartest and the strongest meet in the dojo!"

Alright, time for some deductive reasoning. Clearly, the only smart person here is Kyouko. No question about that. Dojo connotes an idea of Asian culture, therefore, Munakata is the only person who fits that. He thinks he's cool because he has a sword. Now the strong is clearly Mondo and Sakura, but both pale in comparison to Daisaku's incredibly muscular body. Why, you reckon, of course he's talking about the Gym!

"Cherry blossoms fall when the drunkard despairs!"

Oh boy. This one will be hard. Clearly, the drunkard is Koichi. Sad man. Despair is Junko. Don't ask me why a fashion expert is related to despair. She seems to have done something to him, something like knocking him out. Why else would he despair? Cherry blossoms sound feminine, and the only red person you know is Sakura. It's plural, so it must be Aoi too! Man, do you feel proud of yourself for finding that out. You remember the decorative plants, which remind you of the Cafeteria! 

"The hidden dagger goes to the light!"

Alright, you know one person who uses knives here. It's Takumi. Oh wait, that's spoilers for the manga. AV Room. Where else?

"The sheded partner never is tricked by a screen!"

Why does he end every sentence with an exclamation mark? Anyway, a screen... What does that remind you of... A monitor! That's it! Ishimaru! It seems he tried to trick your lord and savior, Daisaku Bandai. The shed is a place for storage, it could be called a Storage Room.

"When gas shines, the peasant rests."

Alright, your head hurts like hell now. Glad you pulled through, huh? You only got repeats of everything that was already said, only coming from a god prophet. How do you feel? He went to sleep. The End.

(Just gonna drop off alibi and invest results, will try to be active in trial soon, just been working all day)

"Okay, first off I tried to enter the Pool area to do some investigating for a way out. But that jack*** Hagakure Wouldn't let me through! Said something about predicting someone would drown. I tried to get him to beat it, but he was too damn stubborn even under some more physical threats. So eventually I left out of annoyance.

"Then I went to the gym where I found a whole mess of peeps. I spent my time training with Sakura. Meanwhile Kyouko was gathering stuff while carrying an oversized backpack and wearing a far too big detective jacket. And Munakata was chopping some stuff up with his sword trying to look all bad*** and s**t. He then began to proceed to bathe in the stuffing of the bags he chopped up. The site was so ludricious, that I ended up laughing with Bandai over the sight.

"Afterwards I went to the infirmary to see if anything was odd. Takumi was there probably having the same thoughts. But then I found a comic and the two of us got distracted, reading it together.

"It was then that decided to head to the kitchen to make some grub. That is when I saw something that sends chills even up my spine. Makoto, Kyouko, Leon, Chihiro, Nagito, and Koichi... were lying on the floor knocked the flat out. I went to Makoto first and just as I noted there were four empty glasses on the floor, something hit me.

"I was knocked out for who knows long...

"But eventually I woke and everything seemed to be the same as before. Except that Leon and a frying pan were missing. It was then that I got a bad feeling that something sinister happened. And as it turned out I was right.

"...as for my invest results not much to say since Leon became a skeleton. But I was able to notice that his neck seemed to suffer damage from something blunt. And then Munakata suggested that it was probably something metallic. I think it is fair to say the frying pan was the murder weapon. Probably crushed Leon's windpipe preventing from breathing until finally he fainted and died from lack of oxygen. Who knows when that happened though.

"Allow 'The Alpha and the Omega' to talk next!"



"First, I decided to go to the Cafeteria. Mr. Munakata did the same. But then he started slashing at all the chairs in the area! I was so scared, I hid under one of the tables until I got the chance to leave. And you can bet I did that as soon as I could!"



"I then went to the Infirmary and saw Ms. Maizono all alone... She was staring at something, but I don't really know what. I put one of my amazing fanfiction comics down on the table and left."



"Then... I went to the Library and found two cute girls, all alone..."



"I- I mean, one! The law requires I say one cute girl!"



"Anyway... I saw Ms. Ludenberg and Ms. Utsugi in the Library as I searched for any good fanfiction material. There was none, sadly. So I left soon after."



"After that, I went to the Storage Room for some snacks! Mr. Ishimaru said he was hiding in there. I guess he found a good hiding place since I didn't see anyone. I didn't stay for long, I got as much snacks as I could carry and then headed off to my room."



"...And I spent the rest of the night in my room, eating the snacks I brought with me and writing lots and lots of lovely fanfiction! I'll show you all some later!"



"Oh yes, and one more thing!"



"I didn't get much from my investigations. The Laundry Room was useless. I also searched the Trophy Room instead of the School Store, once something in the Infirmary caught my eye. I found a golden faux katana dropped from a shelf onto the floor. I saw some empty space in the trophy cabinet, so I guess something was taken in large quantity."





"My investigations weren't all bad, though. In the Infirmary I saw two first-aid kits missing from the shelf. On top of that, there was some weird golden glitter left on the table. I wasn't able to find the source of it."



"And someone had put a bloody handprint all over my fanfiction comic! A waste of a good book, damn it! Fortunately, using various skills of deduction, I was able to find out that the following people read my comic:"



"Mr. Owada, Mr. Kizakura, Mr. Munakata and Mr. Hijirihara."



"So admit it! Which one of you ruined my comic, huh?!"

Servant, for the first time since his defense, speaks up again.


"If you don't mind me speaking out of line...I think I have a bit of an idea on what's going on. See, I want to propose a theory that my luck is what caused the entire room to at least start to feel woozy. I can confirm that someone threw me against the wall, and I was screaming quite loudly..."


"Not for my own safety, mind you. There were others there, and I wanted to alert them. Anyways. I guess my alert didn't work, because whatever my dumb luck had me slip in was enough to weaken everyone to a state where the killer could have finished the job. That's when I heard the loud metal sound."

Sonosuke nods now that almost everyone has given their account for the night. "It's time we focused on how the murder happened, and who the suspects are.

The time of death was sometime after the Milkshake Incident, and Leon's body was disposed of before I arrived at the Incinerator. The cause of death was given as asphyxiation. Those who investigated the body know the neck was broken, so Leon likely suffocated from a broken windpipe.

From Makoto's investigation, it looked like there was a bruise on his head. This is similar to the bruise we saw on Mondo's head when Monokuma called us to the Crime Scene. It's likely they were knocked out in the same way and by the same person. Hiro's investigation also confirms that Leon was unconscious for his last moments.

If the blackened is the one who knocked out Leon and Mondo, then they had to be in the Kitchen for both Actions. This narrows the suspects down to 4: Makoto, Kyoko, Chihiro, and Nagito.

To get closer to the culprit, solving the Milkshake Incident comes first. How were the others knocked out if they didn't receive a bruise like Leon and Mondo? The answer comes from Daisaku's investigation of the Kitchen. He tasted the leftover milkshakes on the floor and noticed they had a garlic flavor that nearly knocked him out.

Makoto, Kyoko, and Chihiro confirmed for each other in their alibis that other than Leon, they all drank the milkshakes that Nagito made. Being laced with some other ingredient, the 3 would fall unconscious by the drink. Then there is only one person whose claim of being knocked out cannot be confirmed since he had no bruise on him when we all met. 

It's the same person who claimed to be thrown into a wall when the others only heard 1 metallic hit and not a 2nd before that. The same person whose back was turned to the security camera Chihiro inspected so his actions could be misread. And the same person who wears a glove on his left hand that wouldn't leave fingerprints on the Incinerator button.

You can probably figure out who I mean by now. If you have any rebuttals besides luck, say them now."

“The incinerator room was relatively clean aside from the trash and blood droplets by the incinerator. There was also signs of something heavy having been dumped beside it. The blood droplets are likely a tiny splatter from the wound on Leon’s head. I didn’t check inside the incinerator (because that was apparently the territory of the people searching the body). The incinerator had no noticeable finger or hand prints and other controls seem unused (and I was not allowed to examine others because of some prior uproar). There are scuff marks leading from the door to the incinerator, as if someone had a heavy enough burden that they had to drag their feet to carry it. The door also has scuff marks on it.

According to the my notes, the incident in the kitchen happened around 2 AM. Everyone woke approximately four hours later, which perfectly envelops the time of death. Leon had not fainted with the rest of us, because he decided to drink his tea.”

"Aiyah...you're picking on trash...alright...I guess it's my turn..."


"First of all, congratulations, you were smart enough to realize that there was was no sound when I was thrown into the wall!"
Servant sarcastically claps.
"And you were also smart enough to realize there was no wound! Give yourself a pat on the back."


"But now, I'll break your reality. First of all, in regards to the wall leaving no sound, I was screaming so loudly that it could have easily drowned it out. Second, ever heard of concussions? Concussions, I hate to break it to you, do not leave bruises. You can get your head smacked hard, almost to the point of knock out, and have no injury to prove it. I concede that I am as guilty of being able to fake it as anyone else, but since you won't listen to my argument for my talent, I guess I'll find a different way to break your statements. Also, in regards to your Incinerator theory, while it is true I wear a glove, do you know what else I was doing this night? You should know. You were with me. To everyone uninitiated, I was stitching my hand. That requires me to take off my glove, and I never put it back on until we all met back up, due to the fact I was in Sleepy Time Junction. Lastly, I do concede that I somehow slipped something into the milkshakes. Daisaku may be our Lord and savior, but he can't exactly tell us the intent, now can he? And clearly, I didn't know the milkshakes were laced until I was told otherwise. In fact, I've been fighting that they weren't laced until a few hours ago. Breaking your self imposed rule of "no luck" for a minute, Sonosuke, perhaps I did actually drug myself, and my luck is what kept me awake until I was thrown to the ground."

[Crippling Alcoholic (Wilkesy)]

Hey.... .Here's my alibi so none of you kids get mistaken.

Action 1- Aoi and I enter the sauna, she keeps pressing the temperature button to go higher, i keep sipping my alcohol.

Action 2- I see touko and kotoko in the cafeteria, all the chairs were Kumad!, i dont know how they got to be like that

Action 3- I drink a lil more until i get hit on the back of my head. I black out

Action 4- I wake up tied up in a rope. Junko sits besides me, she starts happily chatting with me. As if nothing has happened. I wanted my drink though. Daisaku and Sakura leave, Byakuya enters and starts to mock people. Junko interacts with Aoi as well. She sticks around, her temper getting the best out of her with Byakuya´s snide remarks and Junko´s indirect insults. 

Action 5- Junko keeps mocking Byakuya, who cant help but let his pride get the best of him. He and Junko argue for a long while. I still wanted my drink though. Takumi arrives as well. He just stands and stares at us three.

Action 6-  Kotoko finds Junko and runs over to her shouting "Big sis Junko!". Munakata appears too. Suddenly, he takes out a katana and charges at Junko. Not expecting the attack, she gets her arm sliced halfway off. Not completely though, thanks to Kotoko.  

Kotoko screams and pounces at Munakata, shouting stuff like "How dare you hurting Big Sis Junko!" or "You are not adorbs! I´ll kill you". She also strikes him with some kind of toy hammer, which Munakata slices off after she tries to get the 2nd blow. 

Suddenly, Munakata approaches Junko more calmly and randomly starts healing her wound with some kind of stuffing and bandages. What a weirdo.

“To give a more detailed reason for why Nagito is the most likely culprit, we shall go with this. The possible culprits are the individuals who had been in the cafeteria; Leon, Nagito, Makoto, Chihiro, Mondo, Koich, and I. As drugs had been used to knock out Makoto, Chihiro, and I; the infirmary is the most likely place for the culprit to have visited prior to the kitchen. According to testimonies, the ones who had visited the infirmary prior to the time are Sonosuke, Nagito, Hifumi, and Sayaka. Sonosuke and Nagito may have had the chance to pass the drug on to another, but according to their testimony, the only one that could have received the drug would be Leon and this does not seem like a suicide. Thus, Nagito is the most likely person to have drugged the milkshake.”

"But we already confirmed Nagito was the one who spiked the drinks. He probably didn't mean to. It could of been because of his luck."


"The blackened killed Leon by hitting him in the face with a frying pan to knock him out, stomped on his throat to suffocate him, then dragged him into the incinerator to burn. This means that the crime must of happened between Actions 4 and Actions 5. I was near the stairs when this happened, and I heard footsteps and beeping noises. This could of been the blackened dragging the body, and then turning on the incinerator. Or, it could of simply been Nagisa walking in the hallways."

"The prior statement had already nulled the possibility of anyone aside from Nagito being able to spike the drinks, so it is highly unlikely that this was an accident."

"I think Nagito did spike the drinks. But it wasn't intentional. He stitched his hand, and had to use lots of pain medications, and tried to throw it in his milkshake to take it. However, he was unaware of the fact they were made in the same container, and handed them out to everyone. Then, his luck prevented him from getting the spiked drink. That's just my opinion, but who knows what happened. Not to mention, Chihiro saw him take a drink.
