Sayaka then whispered in his ear

Sayaka gives him a playful wink

Nagisa received yet another compliment, despite his assurances to the contrary. This caused him to question himself once more.

"...Y-You...you really think so...? ...M-Monaca...never told me that...before...I-I wonder if...she thinks that...too..."

At this moment, Nagisa is whispered into his ear by Sayaka, and she gives him a playful wink.

Nagisa's eyes widened at this time.


H-Hold on a second...! O-Oh god...s-she's...is this like with Kotoko?! A-Aaah...n-no...! I-I'm not...PREPARED FOR THIS!


"GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! S-S-STAY AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Nagisa suddenly runs frantically to a corner of the gym, and jumps into an opening inside the bleachers, cowering in fear.

Sayaka looks confused as she saw the boy run to the corner and she walks over

“H-hey...are you okay?”

Sayaka then looks down

“I’m sorry...I...shouldn’t have done that. A-and I didn’t even get your name.”

Sayaka looks at him and smile

"N-Ngh...! S-STAY AWAY FROM ME! I-I'm no fool! You want my name, but you're not even going to tell me yours first?! I-I knew it! Y-You're just waiting for me to get my guard down so you can try something, aren't you?!"

"Y-You're just going to hurt me! I-I'm no fool!"

After saying this and crying for a bit, Nagisa's expression changed, and he began saying something in a different tone.

"Demons like you...y-you're...trying to bring me down...so you can take...advantage of me...and if I fall...so will the other Warriors of Hope..."

"But I have to meet the expectations set out before me by Monaca and Big Sis Junko...! I HAVE TO GO BEYOND THEM! I CAN'T FAIL! I CAN'T FAIL! I CAN'T FAIL!"

[Tetsu]

Sayaka stops in her tracks

“R-right that was rude of me to not introduce myself..”

Sayaka paused and look at him

“I’m Sayaka...Maizono...it is nice to meet you...”

Sayaka held her hands out in front of her towards Nagisa 

“A-and..I’m not the kind of demon you speak off..though I know many of them...I’ve seen them even!”

'Get to know each other'? No thanks. Byakuya separated himself from the bunch of worthless cretins as they shared pleasantries and did whatever it is that lowlifes do. He would pity them some other time, but not now as he could feel that he is in mortal danger. It is the same feeling he felt so long ago, when he fought for his title of SHSL Heir. He knows it well.

After assessing the situation at hand, he realised that he has to play along in order to survive. As long as they never consider actually resorting to murder, they buy him more time to find out who the mastermind may be.

As Sayaka extends her hands toward Nagisa, his eyes widened, and he screams and runs out of the bleachers and around the gym like a madman.

"MOM! DAD! BIG SIS JUNKO! KOTOKO! MONACA! EVEN SERVANT! SOMEBODY HELP SAVE ME FROM THIS DEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T ABANDON MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!"

"SAVE ME FROM THE DEMON WHO GOES BY THE NAME OF SAYAKA MAIZONOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sayaka’s eyes widened 

A-ah! Calm down!!!!!! PLEASE CALM YOURSELF DOWN!”

Sayaka looks down embarrassed of what she had caused

“I-I’m SORRY!”

[Monotaro]

"W-What...Y...You're not going to...take advantage of me...? I...I thought..."

Nagisa then seems incredibly embarrassed at his actions.


"I-I-I'm sorry...I-I should have introduced myself...! M-My name is N-Nagisa Shingetsu, the vice leader of the Warriors of Hope! I-I'm sorry that I called you a demon and failed to meet your expectations...Miss Sayaka...i-is there anything I can do t-to make you n-not hurt me...?"

Nagisa is shaking after he says this, fearful at his own misunderstanding of the situation, and how he probably isn't going to be taken seriously as a result of his outburst.

[Tetsu]

Sayaka shook her head and smile

“Nagisa...what an adorable name! And no...there’s nothing you need to do to make up for this.”

Sayaka pause

“Maybe..we could be friends? And I could show you..that not all of us are demons?”

Sayaka then gave him another smile

"Y-You really mean it, Miss Sayaka?! Y-You won't hurt me, a-and you e-even want to be my friend?!"

Nagisa then runs to Sayaka and hugs her and begins crying.

"YOU'RE SO KIND, MS. SAYAKA! THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I PROMISE TO DO MY VERY BEST TO FULFILL YOUR EXPECTATIONS!"

"Big Sis is here?!"

"Kyaa! Nagisa, we're so lucky! Big Sis is so cute~!"

Makoto had watched the whole scene between Nagisa and Sayaka go down. He couldn't help but smile. She really was an amazing person, and he could tell the little boy was too. This room was filled with amazing people! He had a feeling that there really was nothing to worry about. No one was going to hurt each other.

He gave Sayaka a thumbs up while grinning.

After having quite an emotional moment with Sayaka, Nagisa heard Kotoko wake up and make a comment about their current situation.

"Wha-?! Lucky?! Is your head screwed on right, Kotoko?!"

"Somebody abducted us both, along with Servant, Big Sis Junko, Miss Sayaka, and the rest of these adults! There's nothing lucky about our current situation at all!"

It was after this flash of anger that a concern popped into Nagisa's head regarding something Sayaka had told him earlier.

"H-Hey...u-umm...Kotoko...you and Monaca...share secrets with each other, right...?"

"H-Have you two ever talked about whether...u-umm... w-whether I...look cute when I get angry...?"
