Another 2003: Before Classes (D1)
Excitement embraces you at you return for the second week back at school, this was your final year and you can’t wait for what awaits you after the year ends! You all meet with smiling faces and bright eyes, however behind that is knowledge. You were all in class 3-3, and despite the happiness you all felt the looming threat of the curse that kept you all frightened.
To try and stray from the curse, your survivalist teacher, Overlord. Chīsai had chosen a person to pose as a dead student, somebody who you were expected to ignore for all the school year, Misaki Mei. It was said that if you were able to ignore them all school year the curse wouldn’t latch onto your class and you’d all be safe… Like the previous year. However, that is not to be.
It’s before class, and your teacher, Mr. Fufukawa enters early. You all rush into your seats in a hurry, unsure what’s going on. Your teacher seems upset, and somber. He glances up at each of you and lets out a soft sigh, his eyes resting on an empty desk in the middle of the room, you all follow his gaze to see a classmate missing, Hisae Fujita (NPC).
Bracing himself on the desk and staring at it for a short moment, his stare seems to bore into your soul. “Students, of class 3-3, I’m afraid our safety measures did not hold up.” He sends a long hard gaze at Maria Fox, before speaking again, “I’ve got word that Misaki Mei was acknowledged by a classmate of ours, however, that’s unimportant now...” He glances over at the door, and Overlord. Chīsai walks in holding a stack of papers, looking excited, however you quickly assume that excitement is to just cover her sadness “Guess what! You all failed our safety measures and your beloved classmate Hisae Fujita is dead!”

She hands out a piece of paper to everyone, a teasing smile on her face. You all turn over the paper and see the corpse of your classmate, she seems to be in some sort of living room, tied to a noose. Claw marks cover her face and neck and her nails appear to be broken, her leg is also bent at a strange angle. This is obviously not your everyday suicide, and you all suddenly feel dread creeping into your spine.
The curse has started, and it’s taken its first victim.
The overlord hums as you all stare at the pictures in disgust, “Now that that’s out of the way, I suggest electing a safety officer. From now on we’ll meet here after school to discuss what we’ve found and what we think, I’ll supply the tea!” Your homeroom teacher glares at her, and she pokes her tongue out at him.
“What she meant to say is that we have to find the actual dead student now, unless you all are fine with embracing death like Miss Fujita…” He puts his face in his hands and lets out a deep sigh, the overlord puts a comforting hand on his arm and glances at you all, suddenly serious, “Now, let’s conduct the vote.”
